2023 was the year of an emotional win from Tom Meents, Mud fests and a celebration of Max-D 20th Anniversary!
In my opinion, I give this season a C+
I’d go closer to a B-. It was not the perfect year but there were a lot of incredible saves. If I had to say based on the decade so far
2020 - C
2021 - C-
2022 - B
2023 - B-
It was a really good year as was last year and honestly I feel like the seasons are starting to pick up again. I don’t imagine it will be too far in the future that we’ll start to see Neil Elliot and Tom Meents caliber saves from around the 2014 era again, but right now the official calls are still a big mystery going forward. I remember they let mark list drive in Glendale with a broken tire rod, I was there for it and that was incredible. Since then we haven’t seen stuff like that but things like heated breaks, slipping trannies, messed up rear steers, occasional flat tires and sway bar leaning, and other similar breakages are no longer shut off. Drivers have also been able to save it after rollovers or at least drive away from them, which can also be a good sign
I would say this season is either B+ or A-
@@MJJackinator Neil Elliot retired when the pandemic stroke. Tom Meents got shutoff after broken a wheelie bar. Unfortunately, they shut him off at the wrong time when Meents was on the side planning to save his truck.
all these modern day seasons are noting if you compare it to 2012 and 2014

this season had some pretty good moments, exited to see them crush the busses on the triple at world finals!
The older shows where Dennis Anderson and Tom meents competing rivals those are some crazy shows now a days its all the same freestyle.

all this does is make me miss old monster jam. almost every freestyle is nearly identical. drivers can no longer do truly unhinged freestyle runs, because officials shut off trucks with the most minute breakage. i dont even want to get into the track designs, which have gradually gotten worse and worse when it comes to being freestyle-friendly. to those of you new to monster jam, check out videos of shows from 2008-2016. that's where the real fun is at.
I agree! I miss Scott Douglas commentating too. These new commentators don't have the soul and passion Scott had.

Thank you for agreeing with me about the dumb officials, they’ll literally shut off a truck for landing wrong when before they let Tom rip his truck in half
Same I remember meeting Dennis Anderson and Tom meents when I was younger those shows were the best competing rivals I miss it
I disagree. I do agree the old shows were more chaos and cool for that. Losing wheels and still going. Ripping meents truck in half etc. But the talent is now just so much higher and the trucks are better so the competition is more even. Back then it was only grave digger that had the money to just destroy his truck and basically won every show.

Wow decided to revisit the love for monster trucks I had as a child but have truly been disappointed. WHERE ARE THE CARS MONSTER JAM???? Where is the destruction and the crazy moments? These beautiful machines are meant to destroy things not jump a bunch of dirt mounds. Watching this compilation has saddened me.

I guess this just isn’t for me. First time watching. Looked up a video to show my son after he read a book about it. And I kept waiting and waiting to see something impressive. And all I saw was a loud truck doing aimless circles and drunk people yelling. More boring than watching baseball. It would be fun to be the driver. I guess to each their own though. I’m glad someone enjoys it.

That muddy digger freestyle was cool. Not good thou. Either this dude choosing the best freestyles has a lady part downstairs or monster jam just sucks this bad now a days. I think it's monster jam :(
