He has every metaphor and method possible to teach his individual students. That circular motion is new to me too and it make sense. Gotta try that. A good teacher is someone that able to make many path to their students to understand, not to persistantly telling only to do "the right thing" over and over. At least for me.

I think there's no hard and fast rule that your racket should turn, if you can hit your best shot/smash without it, then go ahead and focus on other aspects.
I even admit to swinging from behind. But they don't seem to know where the power should end. Force transfer should end just before impact, not at the moment of impact.
