This tune takes me back to a childhood haunt in old London Town, a waste land of incredible degradation an attrition, unkempt and unloved, however this visual ugly duckling through the eyes of a 12 year old was indeed a beautiful Swan in the making. Beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder and this wasteland was mine to hold and cherish. A playground of sorts back in the mid 70's, Clink Wharf on Clink Street was my true love. So this is 1976, fast forward 12 years and I'm revisiting the Clink again... Not to sight see or even remenisce but to dance.. Oh yes, 1988 Acid House had arrived and boy did I dance the dance of that 303 bass line.. RIP at Clink Street is where this track unleashed its thunderous deep vibe to the party goers and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful times to dance with beautiful people.. I shall never forget 💃🕺💃🕺💞❤️❤️❤️💖xxx
tam an epic time where Acid house was playing in a venue in Londons clink street RIP parties Mr C kid batchelor playing Chicago house and Detroit techno the trip and shoom was Balearic vibes i also loved Labyrinth and dungeons to was mad days
a wonderful association thanks for sharing. I had similar feelings of haunt listening to this cycling along the Thames Path out by Woolwich. A very different looking kind of wasteland but made me think of parties and people x
west london 1987, my first underground rave, my first pills, changed my life from the mundane to a life long raver, and im still going at the ripe old age of 57. raver till i die.
Jesus!! I remember this Incredible dance classic - I am so thankful to have found it again. Memories are overwhelming me right now, so freaking awesome!!!!
Incredible record, the desperate hopeless vibe is perfectly topped off with the very dark lyrics . A true masterpiece, and in my opinion, a huge influence on James Jack Rabbit Martin’s phenomenal track “Why?”
Oh man this popped into my head today and soon after i went scrambling through the crate cause i knew i had this but couldn't remember the artist. Came back to youtube and came across "Master C & J" through "Liz Torres" and then it all came back to me. This is now as it was then.....beautiful.
A perfect track. Master C & J are my favorite of the early Chicago stuff. I know that it's house through-and-through, but their dark atmospheres and vocal effects always remind me of some of the electro-industrial stuff that was happening around the same time (Chris and Cosey/early Skinny Puppy). They definitely had their own unique sound, and they pulled it off flawlessly. Very cool.

@@raxk6103 Yes it is, if we say it is...just like y'all try to claim everything is "House" when clearly many records were produced elsewhere and before the advent of the "House" style of music production and arrangements..so there. Hell, Frankie Knuckles was from the Bronx and played sets with Larry before moving to Chi-town, but y'all claim him too! Just because Ron Hardy played a track in the WAREHOUSE DIDN'T MAKE IT HOUSE...OR 'BMX OR BAD BOY BILL played a track...see what I'm saying!?!
