    Let me know in the comments below if you use a Stihl Kombi or ECHO PAS system in your lawn care business?

    I use my Shindaiwa 262 pas powerhead occasionaly for the pole saw or as a trimmer in heavy brush. My echo 225 pas runs my edger daily and the hedge trimmer a couple days a week. The PAS system is one of my most important tools.

    I owned a stihl fs130r string trimmer, fc90 edger, & hl 94k hedge trimmer, 3 dedicated machines with 3 different engines to maintain and they took up quite a bit of storage space. Sold all 3 on offerup and bought a km130 kombi head with straight string trimmer, edger, newer orange and white 145 degree articulating hedge trimmer, pole saw, cultivator and 2 extension poles for the price I sold the 3 dedicated units for and still had a little change left. The Kombi is so much better and takes much less space, plus I now have a pole saw and cultivator too. so I'm more than happy with it. Changing the heads out is fast and easy, just make sure you keep the ends of the poles greased so they attach and detach without getting stuck and you won't have to fight with them. Only other attachment I plan to buy is the rubber paddle sweeper because the 130 is so powerful using the cultivator that it slings alot of dirt on the grass when you use it in flowerbeds. Tried blowing the dirt back in the beds with both my stihl bg86 handheld and my echo pb8010 backpack and these work but doesn't get the grass as clean and precise as that paddle sweeper.

      Sounds like a good deal. I really like all the attachment capable tools for all the same reasons. Thanks for watching.

    Couldn't agree with you more, combi's are fantastic machines! I have the Husqvarna 535LK, though the Stihl hedgecutter articulate more than the Husky, I went for the extra power!

    Where I work on every vehicle we have a KM-94 with string trimmer, hedger and pole saw and the 2 x FS-94 string trimmers, stihl BG-56 or BG-86 blower, and stihl HS-81/2 T hedgers
    So we are pretty much fully invested into the stihl ecosystem and its very easy to use

    Got the Echo PAS-280 mostly use it for Pruning (10" bar) and Edging, PLENTY of Power. Plan on getting the Hedge trimmer for more reach, add to hand held hedge trimmer. The sweeper contraption might be on list after that....... Also have had the Generic home system (Ryobi, TroyBilt) and collected lots of attachments. Power heads are not bad, but attachments tend to be flimsy made and do not hold up.

      The PAS system is quality built for sure. I’m also looking forward to adding more attachments as well. Thanks for watching.

    This is the most thorough Kombi system video I’ve seen. I did not purchase the Kombi but I did see on another channel that the shaft can be replaced from the engine and then turn it into a Kombi. What are your thoughts?

    I have the PAS 2620 system and I like it so far. The next item I am getting for it is the articulating hedge trimmer as I have a couple of customers that ask me to do that. In the winter I would like to get the Canadian exclusive snow thrower attachment as well as the paddle power sweeper. I used to use the MTD TrimmerPlus but found that it wasn't nearly as durable as the Echo/Stihl/Honda/Makita systems.

      Nice! Yes the ECHO system is awesome. I love the echo articulating hedge trimmer attachment. It’s so easy to adjust with one hand. Thanks for watching.

    I use A Stihl kombi system and I love it, such a time/money saver, I have 8 attachments at the moment but looking to expand, I have the (FS-KM)trimmer, (FCS-KM) edger, (FS-KM) brush cutter, (BG-KM) blower, (FH-KM 145) power scythe, (HL-KM 0) straight hedge trimmer, (HL-KM 145) articulating hedge trimmer, and the (BF-KM) cultivator. I'm gonna get the power pruner (HT-KM), extension, (FBD-KM) bed redefiner, (KB-KM) bristle brush, and (KW-KM) power sweep. Stihl has a new attachment coming out this year, the (RG-KM) reciprocator, a couple attachments they don't make that I think they should are a dethatcher and aerator like they do for the yard boss

    Love my Stihl Kombi system. Even though I only have the hedge trimmer attachment. Haven't needed any other one yet.

      Nice! Tough to beat the versatility of these types of attachment capable machines.

    I’ve used a stihl kombi for 10 years or so..3 power heads in that time. I love the versatility, but the connection for the attachments is the weak point for me. It always starts to slip especially with the hedge trimmer and chain saw. I end up having to replace the drive shaft. I’ve started using an fs94 and just removing the weed eater head and putting my attachments directly on the end.

      Ok, interesting. I’ve had the little plastic collars wear out and need replacement on mine. Thanks for watching.

      No sorry, I have not used Husqvarna, but I think it’s a decent brand with a strong reputation. I have heard good things in general about husqvarna through comments on my Instagram posts. Thanks for watching.

    i was looking at an fs131 for a powerful trimmer/brush cutter, i dont see any reason not to get the kombi unit its similarly priced for the km131.. only attachment i see me getting is the pole saw but never know.. the attachments are pricey though.. more expensive than a box store brand stand alone tool with engine and all

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  4 роки тому

      Yeah the kombi or PAS system is a great investment if you only need those other tools occasionally. Also look for sales. Someone on Instagram left a comment when I posted a picture of the ECHO PAS system I got recently and said they just bought the PAS-2620 engine with the sidewalk edger attachment and got the string trimmer attachment for free. I’ve seen promotions like that from time to time. Thanks for watching.

    I've just purchased the 131R Kombi - very powerful. Frustrating point is the slow process to spin out the wing nut to release each item. Why not have a quick release clamp lever like on a bicycle wheel? Stihl has the same wing nut on my strimmer, fold down cow horn handle instead of a lever and it's so annoying.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  5 років тому

      I hear ya. Even the new Milwaukee M18 quick lok system has a button you press to insert and release which is neat but then they still use the big wing nut as well to tighten. Thanks for watching.

    I'm looking to buy an Echo 21.2 cc 17 in. Gas 2-Stroke Cycle PAS Straight Shaft Trimmer BUT I have several attachments that have worked with other trimmers such as TroyBilt and Murray(clearance at Walmart and I needed one in a hurry on the cheap). Will these work on the Echo or do I need to go to another company for my powerhead?

      The shaft is same size, but locking mechanism is different.
