I love these guys! They are very creative! Wonder what they are doin now. Remember the movie Night of The Comet? Remember the evil stock boys who took over the mall? That's what these guys remind me of, with the glasses and the evil grins! I don't know if that's what they were going for, but it totally works for them! Very talented musicians and great stage show! If anyone knows, let me know what you think. I bet they might have been inspired a little by those guys in that movie.
The lead vocal/guitar player Olga is still fronting the band. The bass player the last I heard is the lead vocal and guitarist for The Stranglers. I do know both of them on a slight personal level the bass player Baz Warne more so. Can't quite make out the drummer but it looks like Dicka - Alan Dixon with whom I've made some recordings with not sure though. He wasn't in view long enough. If it is him he seems to be operating a farm nowadays. As for your sci fi question this band are firmly rooted in the punk of 1977 but have always been satirical. You could use that time frame to confirm your theory.
To me the music of the toy dolls sound like pure fun. In that order that it sounds easy. Till I started to look down his guitar lessons. Which let me see a more technical site of punk music. That's just awesome. These dudes can play. maybe he is the best maybe there are other really good musicians. Also Bad brains is really good.
i've listened to all version of this song that are on youtube and this is one of the best versions, although there is no singing wich is bad. nevertheless they know how to play their instuments.
