I love watching his little legs go in waves. It's actually pretty cute. Millipedes are awesome, but i'll admit im not a fan of their cousin the centipede.
I suppose if bugs with a lot of legs creep you out I can see why you'd say that, but lots of legs don't bug me. (pun intended) The reason i'm kind of scared of centipedes is because of those pincers up front. Millipedes to me just look like elongated pill bugs.
Kronos Rogers Apart from the needless apostrophe, a common mistake, the grammar is better than most native English folks’. I had a South African learning support staff member and South African RE/Science teacher. I guess it’s because non-native speakers need to learn the rules, so things like learning German can help a native English speaker with their own language, both having the same/similar linguistic rules.
I was never really that much into nature till I came across your videos. Awesome stuff man. Now I’m completely hooked on learning about the many things nature has to offer. Keep up this amazing work Coyote & keep inspiring!
Vince Medija yeah I like both National Geographic & Animal Planet but the kind of passion that Coyote Peterson brings to the table in all his unique videos is what gets me hooked
I live in south africa and i've seen alot of shongololos. People say they're a sign of rain coming. Here rain isn't a lot so they don't come out a lot any more. They are also called a thousand foot in Afrikaans (my home language) I wish I could have met him. I also notice the things he find here I already saw
I really wanted to trek down to the eastern cape from here in Joburg when he came but they were not doing any public events. I hope the BW team make it back someday, there's so much more to our beautiful country for them to explore.
It feels weird cause I feel like the only South African on UA-cam, so when I see South Africans, I feel so cool. Where are you from in SA. I’m from Joburg
This is the best UA-camr I've ever seen... 1. He don't say bad words 2.he respect animal or any creature 3.brave 4.asome 5. I've learned what name of any creature
Another great video guys! I love that they're filmed in South Africa! I always love how you make your videos feel like I'm right there on the adventures with you guys. It's really special because I LOVE animals. Keep up the awesome contant :)
I want him to get the Giant Japanese Hornet up for the camera (and yes, I know it'd be mental to actually take a sting because those put you in the hospital...but this is Coyote we're talking about).
Hey Coyote, a millipede scientist here, there was, at a time you recorded the video a millipede from west coast of US, named Illacme plenipes, which could have up to 700 legs, but a few years ago, in Australia, close to Perth i believe there was discovered an millipede with over 1000 legs, a new record! The species name is Eumilipes persephone and it was found in some gold mining shafts, as the animal spends its whole life underground on depths of 10-60 meters below surface! :D Great vids!
o_o Well yeah, but even with how much money they earn, and with the clickbait that they use, their content is still good (base camp debatable), and they use a lot of money into making the episodes
Dear coyote: I am your biggest fan and I watch your videos EVERY SINGLE DAY and I love what you do and your great at it. I hope you never stop doing what you do and I support you. Btw I got your book and finished it in two days because I was so hooked to it. You inspire me and so many others to accomplish our dreams! Love you coyote! BE BRAVE, STAY WILD. I CANT WAIT FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE❤️❤️
wow its only been a few years since i congratulated this channel for 1 or 2M subs and now it already hit 10M, just wow! Congrats on 10M !!!!!!! Next GOAL 50M
TheBattleKangaroo, I only did that so Coyote might see this comment and consider my idea. I apologize if I affended you, but don't go around looking to say something mean.
I've always pronounced it without the "SH", because when I was in Sub A (GRADE 1) we used to have a book for 5 cents called *"MOLO SONGOLOLO"* so ever since I've pronounced it minus the "SH"
Hello From Florida we have those you forgot to mention that if you give them stress they will throw some sort of liquid I hear it can be bad on your eyes not sure about the skin but they do although there is so many I do not know if all of them will do that Regards
Perfumezz I've handled a few millipedes in south Africa and the worst I get is a bad smelling hands afterwards but I don't ever see them secreting anything
If you have sensitive skin or handle one that eats a lot of fruit it can stain the skin and leave mild burns, nothing terrible. Just don’t get it in your mouth it’ll make You very sick
Legend has it that if bites you, you will laugh and giggle for three days straight. When we were kids and we were laughing too loud, the older people used to ask us if a shongololo bit us.
Hey coyote, your book just arrived at my house and I’m super happy I’m like jumping around the house showing everyone the book because it means ssssoooooo much to me because you are the one who inspired me to love animals and I want to scream of happiness but some of my family are asleep. ❤️📙
The millipede in the video has approximately 250 legs, based on 2 sets of feet per section (counted 62 sections) plus an extra set at the head section. You're welcome, random person who's time I just saved.
i used to live in South Africa for 11 years. we had so many of those in our house. even though it was our dry season we did get our rainy season so they did come out in numbers. they curl up into a small disk or so and that's how they protect themselves from praetors. we used them as hockey-pucks and kicked them out of our house.
As a South African hearing the way he said shongololo I was in tears 😭😭😭😹😹😹
I KNOW 😭
Same 🤣🤣😂
YEA 😂😂😂😂
Yes 😢
When someone says shongololo I immediately think of the smell of them, and lots of them just at the bottom of my swimming pool lol
I love watching his little legs go in waves. It's actually pretty cute. Millipedes are awesome, but i'll admit im not a fan of their cousin the centipede.
The Hate Personified please, just stop being a petty troll.
Agreed with the cute wave motion ~~~~
I KNOW THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0OOO CUTEEE! IDK how...
same omg
I suppose if bugs with a lot of legs creep you out I can see why you'd say that, but lots of legs don't bug me. (pun intended) The reason i'm kind of scared of centipedes is because of those pincers up front. Millipedes to me just look like elongated pill bugs.
Growing up in South Africa, I played with loads of shongololo's. Quite cool creatures.
Damn, just realized how wrong that sounds.
you shouldn't play with their loads...eish
I like shongologlolologogololgoLOLogolo!
They are harmless and make nice pets
I like that you have proper grammar
Kronos Rogers Apart from the needless apostrophe, a common mistake, the grammar is better than most native English folks’. I had a South African learning support staff member and South African RE/Science teacher. I guess it’s because non-native speakers need to learn the rules, so things like learning German can help a native English speaker with their own language, both having the same/similar linguistic rules.

They are also called a thousand foot in Afrikaans (my home language) I wish I could have met him. I also notice the things he find here I already saw
millipede actually means thousand foot
I really wanted to trek down to the eastern cape from here in Joburg when he came but they were not doing any public events. I hope the BW team make it back someday, there's so much more to our beautiful country for them to explore.
It feels weird cause I feel like the only South African on UA-cam, so when I see South Africans, I feel so cool. Where are you from in SA. I’m from Joburg

I love brave wilderness because it actually helps me at school when the teacher asks me about animals
Millipedes are my favorite of the miriopods, don't know why but I was facinated by then when I was younger.
The more legs it has, the creepier it is
Unless it's a mammal
Keira Christensen That makes it creepier
*Unless*
Natalie Alfera way creepy
Natalie Alfera the more I look at your profile picture the creepier it is.
