So happy seeing the blue lights return! I really hope Ghost Galaxy comes back at some point in the future, it's single handedly one of my favorites versions.
if you ask me you should start a movement within Disney circles.. maybe even have the ride be limited to just the Halloween party as i think that would be perfect for the ride.
Not only if they bring this back, it is a fundamentally different, improved lighting apparatus that delivers a much more impactful effect than the old system *ever* did.
Beautiful! All of the projection as well as the lift hill effects are clear, bright, and totally on theme. Glad to see this workhorse of an attraction receiving the respect it deserves, Going in about 48 hours to see it in person.
To the guy that gave my dad and I fast pass tickets he couldn’t make and gave me the courage to ride my first roller coaster, thank you man, you single handedly made me love thrill rides! Hope you’re doing good man.
I was already obsessed with rollercoasters before this (despite not riding them myself) but this coaster really sparked my love for riding them. Now every time I go to Disneyland, this will be a top 5 ride to prioritize
@@knightofarkronia9968 I believe the track layout is a tad bit different at the start, Disneyland has a lot of right turns while Magic Kingdom has a lot of left turns.
@@DarkDoge It looks like they completely replaced every single bulb on that tunnel with ones from a new manufacturer. And from what I was told, that tunnel had to be completely taken apart to perform that refurb, which is why it wasnt usually fixed cause the park considers it a pain
This ride is so good!! What a different experience riding it vs watching it on UA-cam! Front seat is great! Also realized there’s a hidden Mickey with the center ride speakers! :)
Not only if they bring this back, it is a fundamentally different, improved lighting apparatus that delivers a much more impactful effect than the old system *ever* did.
It’s way better than the first version of the blue tunnel that debuted in 2007. With the new speed of the lights, it’s a LOT closer to the vibe of the Orlando version.
Not only if they bring the “blue light tunnel” back, it is a fundamentally different, improved lighting apparatus that delivers a much more impactful effect than the old system *ever* did. Great job, Imagineering! Can’t wait to ride on my next trip out west!
Thank you for the update on space mountain in Disneyland California. It was wonderful seeing the new updated light. They look much better with the new ones. The old ones were not that good. The new updates are way better keep up on making videos. I would love to watch your videos take care and have a wonderful day.
I wish they would bring back the Original Dick Dale Space Mountain music (1996-2003), & Ghost Galaxy albeit for a limited time! Hello From Phoenix Arizona 🌡 🔥
I’m so looking forward to see the Blue Tunnel Lights return!! I’ll be there on September 9th which is in 2 days!!!!! I’m so glad it finally reopened before my trip!!!!!
5:19 It’s about time that the flashing blue light tunnel works again! Wow! After like over a year it has been dim, broken, or malfunctioning but awesome! It has itself a new but slick whooshing look! 🤩 Also at 5:53, it seems to me that some stars need to be fixed in a jiffy
When I’m riding space mountain in Florida in two weeks I’m gonna be sitting there getting my back wrecked wishing I was in Disneyland. I used to go solo a lot years ago and this was one of my favorite single rider attractions
Just remember, the preshow and post-show are still 1000% better in Orlando. I love Anaheim’s version, but I will never, ever get over that the ride exits directly to the bathrooms.
@@chicagocarless they have a Pre show and a post show? I don’t think I remember that at all from last time I went! I don’t think I’ll get to experience that though as the one time I’m going to MK is during the Not So Scary party
It looks even better then it did before.. look at old 2005 pov's for comparison. they have by far improved the ride by a long shot...its true.. the effect looks better then it ever has as this puts Florida's Blue Tunnel to shame. damn.. just damn.. 10 out of 10 on the new scene.. just 10 out of 10... good job Disney. you made the effect absolutely perfect. ( this is what the old effect looked like when it still worked filmed on an old 2000s camera back when it reopened. ua-cam.com/video/Gz2eNcSjjE8/v-deo.html )
FreshBaked posted an old vs. new comparison--the new blue lights seem faster and less regular. Of course, as an East Coast guy I'm partial to the original blue-light tunnel, the huge, long one that takes you all the way across the enclosure in the Orlando version.
Not quite the same as in 2006 but hasn't looked better in the last 10-15 years lol! Edit: didn't really notice the white lights that periodically steobe, and the flash at the end. Cool!
I’m so jaded that I’m a little surprised Disney is throwing money at something that doesn’t have a movie tie-in. This is just classic Disneyland “plussing” as Walt would say. Good job Imagineers.

Dear Disney, bring back Ghost Galaxy!!
I would love the return of that amazing overlay! One of the best!!
@@legokid5353it was originally limited to just the Halloween party, then the Halloween party switched parks and ghost galaxy never came back. 😢
New tunnel lights go crazy!

The new tunnel lights look SO SICK. Probably the best they’ve ever looked, imo
Better than before! More reflective of a power transfer!

Yes, Disneyland's Space Mountain is miles better than Disney World. And LMG has the best filming of all the glory. Awesome sauce!
As someone who hasn’t been on either version, what’s the difference?
@@knightofarkronia9968 its hard to explain so id just watch both and you'll see the huge differences

A massive improvement!!! Way to go Disney!!! 👍👍👍👍

Oooh, blue lighting returns to space mountain. Awesome 🤩
Did they improve the animations just after the blue section too???? It looks amazing. All the projections feel different somehow?
The new dome projections came from last year's refurbishment, they probably very recently animated those
This is why you should keep posting Disney videos or amusement park videos. We get a chance to see the returns of open rides. Thanks

At the very least, bring back the Dick Dale Space Mountain music for the ride's 50th Anniversary in 2027.

awesome ...... i hope they can add planets and asteroids next

THE BLUE LIGHTSSSSSSS
I didn't think they were *ever* gonna fix those lights.
I just assumed it was an abandoned effect like the doors on Indiana Jones.
It looks really good
The indoor queue portion flooring looks different too, wonder if they finally made it non-slip.
The did make it non-slip I heard!

Congratulations modern Disney. It took you years to fix an effect from 1977.
The effect may look the same but they’ve probably reconfigured it under the hood to last longer or to be more easily fixable.
I'm pretty sure this specific iteration of the effect came from the 2005 refurb.
