- This mindfulness meditation is designed to help you settle your grumbly tummy. Thoughtfully crafted to ease your discomfort and anxiety.
In this meditation to settle your stomach, you will soothe your upset stomach by calming your mind. This guided meditation will calm your nervous stomach through belly breathing, mindfulness of bodily sensations and affirmations for healing digestion.
Regardless of why you have an upset stomach ... anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, or indigestion ... relaxation can really help due to the gut-brain axis. Your brain and gut are closely connected, with the gut microbiome influencing your emotional wellbeing. And your emotional wellbeing affecting your gut. So a meditation practice, or breathing exercise can diffuse the tension from your body and mind.
The gut-brain connection is real and the slow breathing used in this meditation can activate the vagus nerve.
The small intestine produces sounds while you digest your food, and this is normal. Other times, your digestive system can produce some negative problems, with lots of gurgling sounds, gas pains, bloating and unpredictable bowel movements. But your gut is a great gauge on your entire health. What happens in your gut will show up elsewhere in your body. It also means that if you can ease your stress, it not only calms your stomach, but you'll feel better overall.
It's my hope that this meditation will help bring some calm into your day and ease or prevent your stomach troubles.

I have been dealing with severe stomach cramps induced by stress. I was up for hours writhing in pain. Your meditations are the only things that got me to sleep! Thank you!
You are still the only UA-cam channel that can calm my stomach to the point where I can fall asleep again. Most times I watch this after getting sick, mostly to prevent getting sick again, but it also helps me go back to sleep, because I mostly get sick in the middle of the night. My anxiety goes through the roof and wakes me up, and it persists even after because I’m just afraid of it happening again. I just can’t thank you enough. I love your digestive health videos. Your sleep meditations also do absolute wonders for me. Your words just hit me differently than most other meditations. Please keep making these because I’m pretty sure I will always need this. It’s already been like three years since I started listening to your videos. I just want to say thank you for yet another perfectly-timed and absolutely powerful meditation. ❤️

And I’ve only just realised that there was no music - I usually need the music, but today I realised that it’s a distraction and this meditation was more helpful for the lack of music! Your voice is so relaxing...I'm one of those people who usually need music with neditations, but I listened to this twice before bed and felt less anxious!
I struggled with whether to put music in or not, so I'm glad you were still able to find it useful
@@GenerationCalm my personal preference is music, but from reading comments on different meditation videos some people find music very distracting while listening to a guided meditation. There is another British UA-camr I love (Linda Hall Meditation) and she posts videos with music and voice only, so I (almost) always just pick the ones with music.

This was so needed when I just need to calm down my stomach and not do meditations for like bloating or digestion etc. It is only for calming down ❤️❤️❤️also for my girls out there I wish there is a meditation for PMS and ovulation it would help us greatly thank you
Glad it helped for calming the stomach. And you're right, the pain from periods and/or ovulation is different and the digestion meditations don't always hit the mark
All organic symptoms have a psychological connection so meditation is the answer for it
I suffer from Crohn's disease, and this had a positive effect. But I do feel a need for music in the background, as it's more relaxing. Could you please post this with music too?

I would normally recommend just once, but it really depends on you and how often you can comfortably incorporate it into your day. It won't do any harm to do it more than once a day
