Regarding clear frame material, it is definitely more brittle. After a second-hand pair of Razor Blades, my first new pair was an M-Frame in Crystal Blue/Blue Iridium. The earstem eventually broke under the white earsock. Incidentally, I bought them the day I registered for my Plastics Engineering Technology program in Sept. 1994.😎

I have several of the old Blade and M Frames that have hairline cracks. I don't dare wear or touch them out of fear that they will break the rest of the way.
