‘Raat Ke Baad’ is an Original Ghazal Tribute to the King of our Hearts - the Legendary Padmabhushan Jagjit Singh.
Penned by Nida Fazli Sahab, composed by Me & sung by Shom Chaterjjee - this is my humble offering to the Legend on his death anniversary.
My love for Jagjit-ji dates back to the early 90’s - when I first came across his music through the celebrated album ‘A Sound Affair’. Since then Jagjit-ji’s music has been an inspiration & a Guiding Light for me in whatever I do. I have cried, laughed & felt all other layers of emotion through his music & today, I feel that His music will be with me till my last breath.

the best part about your composition is that it grows on the listener. I've heard it atleast 7-8 times already.... The first impression is clearly of Jagjit ji's iconic style. it is definitely a beautiful dedication... but the more I heard it, the more I could hear your phrasings and your style in it....love the beautiful introductuion of shuddh dhaivat in the 2nd antara and how it seamlessly comes back to the original melody. maza aa gaya. Manas is awesome on the violin. Loved the guitars by Bapi da. a great mix by Anand. and lovely production and singing by Shom Chatterjee. . congratulations on creating yet another masterpiece😊
