I had the composite toe version of these. I split the bottom all the way accross jumping on a sharp shooter hand digging in a underground power service in red clay. The only soles that have been able to handle me in a shovel or sharpshooter is the redwing 4417 loggers. However i just ordered a pair of ariat work hog xt composite toe. I will see how they do.
Thank u for been honest... i cut concrete every day and I'm looking for a full water proof steel toe long work boot because i play with slurry all day every day....
@@EricB.1 Good morning... i cut concrete and get full slurry every day because i chain saw, wall saw, wire saw flat saw etc.... I been doing it for over 10 years so far, and go true a good amount of work boots.... must of them don't even last 1 months or days 100% waterproof, because the glue get eat by the slurry from concrete....W05699 that's the model from Wolverine that I buy... the same pair that lasted about 9 months full waterproof last year..... I got those on November and so still good on the waterproof....
Hello, pretty interesting content. I came for the Corten steel video (wow, lots of foreign language comments); I was wondering about ease of welding it with 120-v MIG. You mentioned the desert environment; are you in one of the inland valleys? Or the coast? It seems like the steel would weather faster at the beach communities. Cool dog! You look like a friend of ours, Phil Missig (he's in real estate in LA, mostly Silver Lake area). Cheers
You can weld it with 120 as long as its clean. Doesn't matter where you install it as it's meant to rust. The rust is what creates a protective layer over the interior metal. Tell phil I said hey!
