I've been keeping an eye on this ever since I first saw it. Very well done, Chris. Hopefully you will get it to production one day. Anxiously waiting...
I'm really impressed with your work, but I find the stationary headrest concerning. It really seems like an accident waiting to happen, especially if you have a VR headset on and aren't quite as spatially aware as you might normally be.
Hi Emdschie, well not a release yet but there is a small update nonetheless. Check out my simpit website at: bergisons.simpit.info/motion-integrated-g-seat Best regards, Bergison
Hi Fah! Of course I fly my simpit in DCS as well! Just the video is shot using FSX because DCS is yet unable to export the DDIs and the MFCD screens when using VR.
It's a good point, although it depends what you're trying to simulate. For racing where you're strapped in very tightly, there is a school of thought that the controls may be better off moving with the seat, but for aircraft the controls not moving is actually a better way to simulate the forces acting on various parts of the body. When you're compressed into the seat and the seat moves downward, having the controls move downward also would lessen the feeling of force.
This is only true for motion platforms. The Motion Integrated G-Seat moves your body just like real acceleration would, so a movement relative to controls IS realistic. Try it the next time you drive a car. Hit the brakes and you will move closer to your steering wheel. It would feel weird would it move forward too.
One thing I can't understand about so much tinkering is, when do you make time to actually PLAY with these? Is like the musician and the Luthier, you can't really be both.
Sure, simpit builders may spend less time actually flying than folks who just plug in a joystick. But when they are, the experience is so much better ;)

Nice job Bergison.

so quick question, hows development coming along? i'm still really interested in this seat and its cost
Any idea how much this would cost to either buy, or make?
Oh man I want to try this so much.
You can now! Check out the latest update at my simpit website: bergisons.simpit.info/motion-integrated-g-seat

Kickstarter, please! :)
cool but why an f16 grip?
The Hornet grip was not available yet when I shot this video.
@@bergison oh alright. really cool setup though!
Any news about a potential release of this masterpiece? My dogfight Boss cockpit is finished soon - this would be an instant buy for me.

Good cockpit but very bad sim why you're not flying on DCS ? Even tho it's a -C version on it?

@@bergison Ok cool man, your cockpit is so beautiful great work !
@@Fahreun thanks! Your compliment is highly apprechiated!
controls need to move with seat or its not realistic enough

The controls shouldn't move, they don't in real life. Only your body depending on how tight the belts are.
