I'm debating on whether I should use this or the Dark Ice Fortress as the palace of my ice themed villain. Alarice, The Sorceress Queen. I think I might use this one because it feels more inviting while still mysterious. Once again thanks for the wonderful sounds, Michael.

Used this in Auril's fanatics temple/fortress. My players said that the atmosphere was exquisite, yet the place was a little bit too grim.

This temple of ice...I came here once, seeking knowledge and wisdom. I knew I was a Dragonborn of the White Dragons...evil beings. What could I do to not be as them? It was here that Bahamut appeared to me. He helped me to find the path I desired to follow. I wanted nothing more than to do whatever I was able to for the good of the Multiverse...to see to it that evil was brought to justice and that the innocent could live in peace. And that was when Bahamut brought me to Tyr, the justice god, who was very pleased with my desires...helped me to become the lawful good paladin who stands here with you.

Burlic and Andor, two Jhersword guards, strode through the blasted and frozen hellscape, the icy wind slicing through their armor and gambesons. The edges of their suits were frozen over and glazed with frost, crackling as heavy flakes of snow whipped against the ice. Both the men shuddered from the harsh enviroment, teeth chattering uncontrollably.
"I bet the Rose Guard never have to do these sorts of sweeps," Burlic grunted, rubbing his hands together to try and warm them. "Why do we always get these damned rotations?"
"I know," Andor replied between puffs of breath. "When we get back, I'm putting in a complaint straight to the Lord Warden about changing location." He paused for a moment as he watched the air drift from between his lips. "Frost me, what I would give for a bottle of wintermelon wine right now."
Burlic nodded shakily. His eyes wandered over to a rocky outcropping, where the sheet of snow was significantly less intense. He jerked his chin in that direction. "Hey, there's some cover right there."
The two sentries hastily made their way to the cover, lighting a small fire to warm their bones. They pulled out what rations they could spare, scarfing down the dried meats, lingering around the dying embers. The pair pulled their cloaks tight around themselves before reluctantly heading out to their last post. "So," Burlic started. "What are you gonna do after we get back? I know I'm gonna get my moneys' worth at the local whorehouse!" He laughed despite the cold, elbowing his partner, but the mirth trailed away in the squall as he noticed Andor's stunned posture. The brutish man followed his gaze up the base of a truly massive citadel with looming, jagged spires, and baleful blue torch sconces lining the ramparts. The structures were forged of a strange, liquidic metal with an unnatural silver sheen to it, and Burlic could have swore he saw it flowing like a river of sludge. The architecture was impossible to comprehend, but this material allowed it to be so. This fortress was ancient, immune to the anger of the tundra, and impossible to storm.
In that moment, his body found a new shiver, one not attached to the cold, his spear slipping from his grasp.
