Hard lines Jamie, i was there on Sunday (Beeches) and did ok but there were lots of signs of fish spawning around the complex. Maybe this accounts for the unusually slow day

If you allow me some advice:on lakes with fish of this size you should use a more powerful rod, you waste too much time during drills :)

Was the hook that straightened a Guru. As I have had a few recently do this to me.

It certainly fished hard on Laurels. The fish you had weren't a bad size. I reckon l had about 70 fish for my 50lb . The lad next door had 59lb and only got 5 points. He had 6 carp. Can't think what else I could have done.
If you do go for a practice at Halcroft and don't mind company as l could do with the practice. Watching the video l now know what to do if l draw 14 Laurels.

The fish have definitely not wanted to come down and feed and the wind looked like it was into the other side of the island which is where the winner came from. Did you try any other colours of wafter?

99% of the time🤔. We cast to distant marks, when there really, rite under one’s feet in the margins. Fish are smarter than we give them credit for.🐟🐟🐟🎣
