    1. Michael came to my office only one time for his Torticollis. We fixed him immediately after the injury occurred. So It only took one visit. It never came back.
    2. Michael is a long term patient that has a massive KYPHOSIS to his thoracic spine. adjusting this area give him better ability to stand up correctly. Better posture equals better outcomes.
    3. Most of my patients get adjusted Full Spine every day. So Yes.
    Thanks for your questions.

Sorry to hear that you are in such bad shape. Your problem is not from a herniated c5 disc in your neck its from an imbalance that comes from the upper neck. I am a 1000% confident that I could help you. I treat your condition all the time. Watch this video ua-cam.com/video/Lb5MIXL32YU/v-deo.html As for finding a good chiropractor anywhere in the world I'm 10% or less sure you will able to find one. Look for an UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTOR. They are your best chance. If that doesn't work you may have to fly to America. Oh one last thing. DO NOT HAVE SURGERY! It will make everything worse. Good luck and please share any chiropractic experience with us all.

My chiropractor is a miracle worker. I had a rough injury to my spine after being trampled by a bull I was working on, after about a year of adjustments 3x a week, I am almost back to normal. I go once a week now and love going. It's so relaxing and I feel so good after having everything cracked and popped!

187greek, Thanks for watching my video. I don't remember if I asked him to open his mouth or not. But if I did it was most likely because I was trying to distract him. When a patient knows he is being adjusted then he doesn't allow me to make the corrective treatment that he needs. And when he is distracted then I can do a much better job. Hope this helps.

I hate it when people say chiropractors are quacks. These are the same people that have never been to a chiropractor to make their own judgement. I have been going to my chiropractor for 2 years now, and after every visit I realize how thankful and grateful I am that he is in my life. I have full range of motion, and my scoliosis is practically gone! Love chiropractors!!!!!!

Your scoliosis is gone? How does a spine become straight just from adjustments exactly?

    • @Aerferx
      @Aerferx 5 років тому

Michael Palm the adjustments clear the nerve pressure and restores the body to its primal relaxation. The body is one complete unit, if one thing goes out of place so will the rest. The only reason such adjustments dont hold permanently is due to the patients belief that the adjustment is all that is needed, sure the pressure and joints have been relieved but to completely fix you must exercise the muscles to adapt + learn natural posture. A natural posture is not actually straight upwards either, those that you see standing straight up likely have places needed to be relaxed. To find the natural posture i recommend learning what a pandiculation is and how gravity stacks the body upwards. These tips are necessary not only for health purposes but for efficiency purposes, a relaxed body does not require muscular tension to carry out movements which allows it to be light and flowing, a tense body however locks up and blocks the bodies ability to manipulate gravity.

Phillip, Thanks for your question. You are absolutely correct. Normally I would have never touched this patient without xrays. Actually in my office its always done. So why didn't I take xrays was your question. The reason was I had taken xrays just a couple of months ago and the nature of the new injury was not traumatic enough to justify taking new ones. If he had more blunt force to his neck and spine I would have taken them. Hope this helps.

I love hip adjustments done right!
I got a chill in my neck when I was 7 (1963) probably from being in a draft. Stayed sitting up on the couch for a week. Neck was stiff exactly like this guy. Finally went to the doctor, he said it was a muscle spasm and injected my neck muscle with a LONG NEEDLE, gave my neck a sharp jerk and it was done.

Jack Jenkins I reviewed TCM and the basic premise behind BALANCE is similar but I strictly am a BIOMECHANICAL SPECIALIST of the SPINE. What I found is that the NERVOUS SYSTEM has a bigger roll in REGULATING the bodies functions then all other systems. But like I said I like the basic premise of TCM but it's not really very similar beyond that. Thanks for your question.

Mr Yo. So said that you would find pleasure in having someone permanently injured. I pray that one day you find it in heart that people are worth helping and that hoping someone is permanently disabled is NOT cool. As for the video. It speaks for itself. 18 years in practice and if you watch the video the patient come in hurt and leaves in much better shape. That's how I want to live my life. Helping people. Good luck to you.

I just had this question this weekend and i will tell you that in my 18 years of practice that has never happened to me. Furthermore I work with a very large network of doctors and it hasn't happened to them as well. However I'm not so naive to think that it can't happen but the occurrence is almost statistically insignificant. You have a much more likely chance of death from taking an over the counter aspirin than from a professional chiropractic adjustment. Thanks for your question.

Good question Doc. So after all my years in practice. I would have to say that you will never stop experimenting with different versions of this same question. The biggest thing I can pass on to you is that "LESS" is more. As a new doc you want to show what you can do but the body needs to unwind the misalignment and this takes time. If I was you. Adjust the PI and leave the other side alone. See what happens. I've done it both ways. The patient subluxation free is the ultimate goal.

"If one shock locks on ur front end does the other have to work 1/2 as hard or 2x as hard?" Of course 2x. Makes the good shock overheat (i.e. pain in the hip). My thoughts are fix the frozen shock and help normalize the other. Yes you can do one but by doing both specifically you reach you goal faster.

I was doing dips and I got this immediate pain in my neck that felt terrible! I went straight to lay in bed until the pain went away it took about 5-7min. Next day went to the gym and did bench press and got the same neck pain on my 5th rep of my first set. In the beginning I thought it was just a normal exertion headache but I figured out I pulled a muscle by the comparison of both of the descriptions. My neck hurt every time I work out or do a fast movement. If u are young this might take a few weeks maybe a month max but if u are an adult it might take a month or 2. I Do not recommend to see a doctor just trust your body to heal on its own. I still have this pain and I’m on my 4th day of having this pain. Also do not panic this pain in the neck does go away but does take time. Do a lot of stretches and massage the part that hurts. If you have dizziness bad eye sight or feel sick while having this headache or pain go see the doctor because it could be symptoms of brain tumour but they are very rare to get so don’t stress right away. I Hope you all a fast recovery!!

I have the same problem, extreme pain with torticollis (except I have no idea how it happened). It was so bad that I went to Urgent Care for help, and they gave me a muscle relaxer that didn't help much at all. I was still in constant agony, so I went to the ER, and they gave me pain meds and a different muscle relaxer that actually help, but I have to constantly take pills to keep the pain to a level that I can bear. Bottom line, if you go to a hospital, all they do is give you pills and tell you to use a heating pad. They'll rarely do anything to actually solve the problem. If you're lucky, you'll get a doctor who refers you to a chiropractor for some real treatment. I want to go to a chiropractor, but I can't afford one, so I'm stuck with pills that merely cover up the real problem. This guy was fortunate that he could get some relief.

    Hi
    Promised to keep you updated....
Had first visit today. Neck & some back cracking, then she broke out something called an "activator" (actuator?) - kind of reminded me of a center-punch like I've used to stamp a divot in metal so the drill-bit will put the hole in the right place.... Seemed to me it allowed her to use a "syringe" sort of motion but get a bunch of spring-power to the end of the device....
Anyway, she worked on the top rib (also taught me I'd been pushing in the wrong place so any benefit was due solely to prying up the clavicle) and at the end there's no question it's down 1/2-3/4" lower than when she started.
She also ID'd some other problems I knew about but had failed to mention (yeah, sorta sneaky "test") and straightened them out too.
Verdict: THRILLED so far. She did warn me the rib would likely creep back up and might need to be "trained" to stay down where it belonged, so don't be disappointed if symptoms recurred. Seems fair - didn't get this way overnight

    • @dalancheek2530
      @dalancheek2530 8 років тому

      Sorry...
Anyway, warned I'd be sore from rib work (yup) and recommended things I can do to strengthen the right muscles to help hold / stabilize etc.
No hint of quackery, no insane, promises, left with immediate problem solved and a plan to mark it permanent.
Any input DEEPLY appreciated - as with all prior as well! Hope this helps someone!

please, PLEASE know that I'm not questioning your knowledge or expertise, rather trying to understand... & I NEED to understand (extremely high-functioning Asperger's case)..
**MY** impression was (this one may tick off the Ladies, LOL) that she was using a device to give her some mechanical advantage to make up for what she - being female - lacks in upper-body/arm/hand strength as compared to an average man.
I should probably add that I'm naturally a VERY "beefy" guy - without ever going to the gym I had a 28" waist and a 52" chest (18.5" thighs, etc) - & very low body-fat) - basically I'm built like a Silverback Gorilla...
so to expect a ~110# female to overcome my natural musculature especially in my chest/shoulders & force a rib down as far as she did, I was surprised that little thing in her hand was able to help her get it done, lol...
so.... why should I say no to that? AGAIN - trying to understand!

All I can say is look for an UPPER CERVICAL SPECIALIST on google in your area. Do not go to a NUCCA doctor. RUN from any chiropractor that wants to put you on Heat, Electrical Stimulation, Traction, Ultrasound, Laser, etc… You need to go to someone that will ADJUST YOUR SPINE with their HANDS and not a machine. DO NOT try a doctor that wants to work on your body by stretching or strengthening it. Hope this helps. Please Share with us about what you find and how it works for you.

william cepin You will just make it hurt more. The bone that controls the balance center of your body and the nerve in questions needs to be corrected. Anything else will be ineffective. Good luck.

Dr. Thayer. I went to a Chiropractor as a child and almost never received neck adjustments. It was mostly back adjustments and tapping and resistance tests. I have back and neck pain and poor posture currently. I've really been wanting to go to Chiropractor for some time but never have. Seeing your videos made me realize that there are different methods of Chiropractic and seeing your focus on the neck looks like it works wonders. How would one go about choosing a Chiropractor that can be trusted? How would I know if I'm being cared for correctly. I live in La Mirada. Thank you- Nick

nickerfb79 Great question Nick. I'm sorry that you had to experience poor chiropractic for all those years. As for finding a good chiropractor I'm not sure. Most are terrible. I hate to say. But I tell everyone you need to try. Sorry I don’t know any CHIROPRACTOR in your area. All I can say is look for an UPPER CERVICAL SPECIALIST on google in your area. RUN from any chiropractor that wants to put you on Heat, Electrical Stimulation, Traction, Ultrasound, Laser, etc… You need to go to someone that will ADJUST YOUR SPINE. DO NOT try a doctor that wants to work on your body by stretching or strengthening it. Hope this helps. Please Keep me informed about what you find and how it works for you.
PS. La Mirada is only 35 minutes from my office. Just saying.
