Only true Australians will understand this 😂
so true
Definitely only for Aussie consumption😂 or ‘how to confuse an American’
😂😂😂😂yep clear as day to me.and funny ASF 😂
Exactly!only true Aussies! I’d forgotten about these shows. Very clever, so many place names intermingled with other stuff. Well written. Ryan, you need to get hold of classic book, “less talk Strine”. My dad had a copy of it…hilarious! 🇦🇺Ps. Mount either, Mount Isa, mining town in Queensland
@@lesleyvass8739hahaha 😆 definitely! Watching Ryan get so confused & then made even more confused by the confusing Google subtitles is equally as hilarious as the show itself 🤣
Hey Ryan, a few years ago I shared this with some international friends and took the time to type out all of the references and never deleted it. I’m not going to explain them all but here they are so you can see which ones you might want to look up 😅 I don’t think watching that with the captions was a good idea because they were so badly wrong! Watch again whilst reading the list and see how you go 😂

Merinos (sheep)
Tally-Ho (cigarette papers for roll your own)
Crack on (old Aussie slang)
She’s apples (Aussie slang, she’s all good, it’s all OK)
Most are animals, things, and geographical locations, ie towns, cities, rivers, islands, etc
Thredbo and Perisher are ski resorts in the Snowy Mountains.
@@Jeni10the apples joke is also about how Tasmania is often called “the apple Isle” because they grow apples there.
@@markedwards4879 I know Tassie is the “apple isle” for two reasons, they grow there and Tassie looks like an apple. But I have never thought of the slang being connected to Tassie. The mainland has tons of apples too. I used to love the Stomp ad they did for our apples! Luke Cresswell was a genius!

Unless you know Australian towns, city names etc, you won't understand most of this. Mount Isa is an outback town
If there was a mountain it is a massive open cut mine now, they have dug a long way down too, there are some small peaks outside of town. Stinking hot place, aircon saves lives there.
“There’s no mountain in Australia right?” 🤣 🤣
@@kathleenmayhorne3183I've worked in 52°C multiple times.
That's damn hot, but I'm in WA too.
@@Dr_KAPjeepers Dr everywhere I go I seem to see a comment from you.
I think Ryan's comprehension was way above what the average American would manage, He has learnt a little bit since starting his reaction to Australia videos.
Agreed.
Yet he still thinks Australia has no mountains. 🙃
This should be part of the knowledge test for Australian citizenship. If you can understand and explain all the references, you're good enough to be called fair dinkum 😂
If you're not from Australia you've got no hope understanding the references in that. Almost all of them are Australian places, things, animals, etc.
That's right mate , ya can't get any more Australian than that , hands down .
Thing is, we understand too much of their stuff and they none of ours. They get the WORST actors to play Australians, they're not even Australian.
Ok I saw your title and saw what it's about and yeah, most of this is going to go way over your head...& a lot of it will for young Aussies too lol
An absolute Classic tho!! 👍👍👍
Mount Isa is a mining town in Queensland. Seriously Ryan, how could a continent the size of Australia not have mountains. Our largest mountain range (Great Dividing Range) is 3,700 kilometres long and traverses most of Queensland, all of NSW and half of Victoria. Its the third largest mountain range in the world. Mount Kosciusko is the highest part of the range at 2,228 metres.
Yeah. He mentions the Blue Mountains in that skit, too.
Ayers Rock aka Uluru isn't the largest rock in Australia either.
It's just the mot obvious big rock for tourists.
Largest rock is Mt Augustus which is about 400 or more kilometres north of Perth, West Australia.
Looks like an Aboriginal lying on his back with the top of a spear through his gut.
Mt McClintock in Australian Antarctic Territory stands at 3490 metres.
Big Ben on Heard Island is 2745 metres high. The island is an external Australian territory.
Most of the "Great Dividing Range" is less than 3000 ft, 1km high - that is NOT a Mountain, it is a Hill on the World Stage.
@@mrdbooks7285 The fact is, most people don't really care. It doesn't stop people from comng here does it.
This is true genius and bloody funny 40yrs later. Only true Aussies would understand all the names and slang 👌👌
The 12th man is a legend. Its Billy Birmingham he wrote this and made a bunch of sports commentary parody albums in the 80s 90s that sold better than most music at the time. He came from the advertising industry and was for almost 20 years in a sports chat show on tv. A great vocal mimic he lifted the careers of those he parodied.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the 12th Man - cos it's MARVELLOUS ... yes it really is a marvellous effort that 🏏🇦🇺🤣 Cheers mate 🍻
The subtitles wouldn't have helped as most of them were wrong. It had me in stitches 😂😂
This came out in the mid '80s and is brilliant, I might be wrong, but from memory, it even made it to number one on the charts, There's so many references to place names and other bits of Australian culture that when he says two different words they combine to make the name of the town, animal, etc. Also, the subtitles on it are really bad with a few mistakes that can leave you wondering what he's talking about. For someone not from Australia you're better off listening to each different joke - looking it up and then move on to the next bit It's a bit tedious but then when you understand why it's so funny you can listen to the lot and get it.
Spot on mate but first they have to work out what to type to look it up. Good luck with that!
It was the biggest selling single of the 80s by an Australian in Australia
Bought back memories, thanks.
Number one on the charts for a whopping 13 weeks
Ryan, mate, you will never understand this fully unless you have an Aussie pausing and giving you the reference. This hails from a much simpler time and place and it lives in many hearts as one of the coolest memories, this Gold charted! A very clever story told using Australian places and landmarks.
Ryan, when I saw this title come up, I thought you had no hope of understanding it. Congrats on getting what you did. Incorrect subtitles certainly were no help. Mt Isa. It's a town. Isa is a girls name so mount Isa has another meaning.
Hi mate. Love your stuff. Filled in a few bits for you - not the obvious ones. Cheers.
Sittin' at home last Sunday mornin' me mate Boomerang
Said he was havin' a few people around for a barbie
Said he might Kookaburra or two (Burra - short for Barramundi fish.
I said, "Sounds great, will Wallaby there?"
He said "Yeah and Vegemite come too"
So I said to the wife "Do you wanna Goanna?" (A lizard)
She said "I'll go if Dingos"
So I said "Wattle we do about Nulla?"
He said "Nullabors me to tears, leave him at home." (Nullabor Plain)
We got to the party about two and walked straight out the kitchen to put some booze in the fridge
And you wouldn't believe it, there's Boomer's (male kangaroo) wife Warra sittin there tryin' to Platypus!
Now, I don't like to speak Illawarra, (A town) but I was shocked, I mean how much can a Koala bear?
So I grabbed a beer, flashed me Wangarratta (A town) and went out to join the party
Pretty soon Ayers Rocks in and things really started jumpin'
This Indian girl, Marsu, turns up, dying to go to the toilet but she couldn't find it
I said to me mate Al, "Hey, where can Marsupial?"
He said "She can go outback with the fellas, she's probably seen a cockatoo"
Well just then Warra comes out of the kitchen with a few drinks for everybody
Fair dinkum, you've never seen a Coolabah maid (Coolabah - drink brand)
I grabbed a beer and said "Thanks Warra - tah" (A flower)
A couple of Queensland at the party, one smellin' pretty strongly of aftershave
He sat down next to me and I turned to him and I said, "Ya know mate, Eureka Stockade!" (Site of miners revolution)
It was a really hot day; Oscar felt like a swim
He said to Ina, "Do you want a have a dip in the Riverina?" (An area)
She said "I haven't got my Kosiosko" (Australian mountain)
Well Bo says, "Come in starkers, Wattle they care!"
Ina says "What, without so much as a Thredbo?" (Sky resort)
Ah, Perisher thought!
Has Eucumbine in yet? (Dam and Lake)
Well a few of the blokes decided to play some cricket
Boomer says "Why doesn't Wombat?"
"Yeah, and let Tenterfield" (Town)
And he said I should have a bowl but I was too out of it to play cricket so I suggested a game of cards
I said to Lyptus "Wanna game of Eucalyptus?"
He said "There's no point mate, Darwins everytime."
Well Bill said he'd like a smoke
Nobody knew where the dope was stashed
I said "I think Merinos." But I was just spinning a bit of a yarn
Barry pulls a joint out of his pocket
Bill says "Great, Barrier Reefer, what is it mate?"
"Noosa Heads of course. Me mate Adelaide 'em on me."
And it was a great joint too, Blue Mountains away and his Three Sisters
Well I thought I'd roll one meself, I said "Chuck us the Tally Hobart" (Tallyho - a cigarette paper brand - Hobart - capital of Tassie)
He said "They're out on the Laun, Ceston, can you get em for us?"(Laun - pronounced lawn: Launceston - Town in Tassie)
Burnie says "Its okay mate, she's apples, I'll get em for ya"
Just then Alice Springs into action, starts to pack Bill a bong (Billabong - water hole)
And you wouldn't believe it, the bongs broken. I said "Lord Howe!" (An Island)
"Hay-man" somebody says "Will a Didgeridoo?"
I said "Hummmmm mummmm mummmmm mummmmm maybe it'll have ta."
I look in the corner and there's Bass sittin there, not getting into it, not getting out of it
I said "What, is Bass Strait or somthin?" (The Strait between Aust and Tassia)
Boomer says "As a matter a fact mate, he's a cop" I said "Ya jokin mate, a cop?
I'm getting outta here, lets Goanna." She said "No way, I'm hangin round till Gum leaves
Besides, I dont wanna leave Jacaranda (A type of tree) party on his own (ie Jack around her)
Have you seen him? I think he's trying to crack on Toowoomba (A town)
He's already tried to Mount Isa (A mining town) And he'll definitely try to lead you Australiana!"
I was part of the crowd at the Harold Park pub (hotel) in Glebe (Sydney) for this recording in the mid 1980s. Thanks for playing this clip.

Tenterfield is a small town, Peter Allen and I were both born there.
Practically every sentence contained references to Geography [place names], cultural references [australianisms] and the fauna of Australia - sometimes up to all three. Oh, and there were the jokes also... XD. They guy who wrote it, Billy Birmingham, also does comedy under the 12th man title [a cricket game reference]. I'd recommend it but there as many references and double entendres in those clips as you got in this one. Bloody funny though... XD
I remember this being played on the radio, then on TV Count Down. Next day, at the music store, they're playing it in the store and the place is packed with ppl trying buy the Tape Cassette, and 45 record.
Straight to the Pool Room ...
Mountains are a part of the reason why a lot of people live on the coast in Australia. The Great Dividing Range runs down the East Coast and was difficult to cross, especially for horses with carts etc. It took a long time until a sufficient path was established, leaving a significant difference between the development on the East Coast and the interior.
A video on the Eureka Stockade is something you'd find interesting. Real Australian history
Like the others have said: a very Aussie piece with references to places/animals/etc which any non-Aussie would have no real hope of recognizing. You'd have to live here for a while to have any chance. But good on'ya for your continuing efforts learning about Australia.
Just love the stunned look on Ryan's face, looks like someone has belted him across the face with Mullet or maybe a Barra
Ryan Im getting the biggest laugh just watching your face and your brain ticking over like wtf!!! 😂 Ahhh too funny
The Twelfth Man was hilarious!! He was incredibly dry and witty as hell... They were great days back then..
OMG Ryan, you have certainly found a challenge. You said you wanted to know about Australia. Understanding this one will certainly do that.😂
This is absolute comedy GOLD. I loved this when I first heard it in the 80's and it still brings a smile to my face now, especially seeing you trying to understand it. Maybe watch it a couple of times and listen very carefully on how he phrases the words. Also, I didn't think the subtitles are original to the video because whoever put them in either can't spell or is not an Aussie. I do love your quest to understand more about Australia but being Australian is not just about where we live but our unique places, animals, colloquialisms and just the fact that we are at the arse end of the world and everything that was happening in the world before we all had the internet meant that we did not hear about the latest music, fashion trends etc. until 12 to 18 months and by that time something new was in, so we had to just make do with what we had and we had it good.
Mount Kosciusko is the tallest mountain in Australia. It’s about 2.3km/ 1.43 miles above sea level.
"There's no Mountain in Australia, Right?" No just the great dividing range, etc... The Mountain referenced is actually a city "Mount Isa" in Queensland. So much of this is regional areas, cities, towns and other geographic locations... another good song like that is "Ive been everywhere man"
Blue Mountains, Grampians, Flinders Ranges, McDonnell ranges etc, etc
I've only been to Meekatharra.
'Fair dinkum' relates to the gold rush era, when Chinese miners who found gold they would say a phonetic 'dinkum' to say real gold. It worked into modern slang as something true.
hehe you jumped in at the deep end with this one, only Australians will truly get all of this
Abit hard when one doesn't really know Australian landmarks, so well done. Its Mount Isa
I loved this back in the day even saw it performed live a few times like at the 3 day concert Narara, which he MC'd.. IN the end, me and a one of my good mate could actually recite it all word for word and we also added in a fair few places and extra slangs of our own...
I would have loved to go to narara 83 and 84 but was too young, my brother went. Even though it wasnt at narara which is where im from!!
@@kyliemitchellharper6872 I did 84 .. which got pretty much rained out on the 2nd day. It was huge though and we had an amazing time..
This is a classic 😂😂, but your reaction is priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is priceless.
I haven't heard it for years and I'm still laughing at it.
It is so smart and well constructed.
Mount Isa is a town in Queensland.
The 12th man is all about cricket.
If you don't get this, you will never understand the 12th man.
Mount Isa is a mining town in Queensland.
Bass strait is a strait that separates Tasmania from the mainland of Australia.
Alice was referenced to Alice Springs. Ayres Rock is Uluru. Wombat is the animal, Noosa Heads is on the Sunshine Coast town of Noosa. A lot of the references were places or slang words.
Goanna is a large monitor lizard. Bass Straight is between Tassie & the mainland. Noosa heads is on the Sunshine Coast Queensland about 90 miles north of Brissie (Brisbane). Eureka Stockade, goldfields rebellion in Ballarat (December 3, 1854). Lord Howe is an island off the east coast & is an Australian territory.
A lot of the things you didn't understand where names of places in Australia, you got the animals right except the Goanna that is an animal and also an Australian band. The Bass Strait is the water between Tasmania and Mainland (Melbourne)
Written by Billy Birmingham the 12th man , now there's another one from the 80s and 90s that would go over your head
Seeing there was no references to Western Australia a few of these went over my head at the time too.
😂😂😂east coast mate
I know right we had place names written for this! Innaloo, Wanneroo, Upper Swan, Cockburn, Koolyanobbing.. I could go on 😊
“I didn’t know australia had a mountain”
The great dividing ranger being the longest mountain range in the world
you're wrong mate
Billy Birmingham aka The Twelfth Man....an absolute comedic legend! Ryan, you should check out some of his stuff!
The writer Billy Birmingham was a great writer, mimic & performer of Cricket commentators back in the 80’s & 90’s. He would use their catchphrases and change up the names of international cricketers each summer as they toured Australia and create a new routine. The reference to the twelfth man is what he called himself (as the artist) & also refers to the actual 12th player in Cricket team. There are 11 players on the fielding side and the 12 man comes into play when a player leaves the field to go to the toilet or have an injury looked at etc. a replacement for that player. He was pure genius
this is so bloody good!
The twelfth man is the spare player in a cricket team, goes in if a player is injured. The great dividing (mountain) range stretches from Cooktown in north queensland to Victoria. The east coast has many mountains. The west coast has a plateau, flat topped and nearly no mountains until you get further north, eg. The Kimberley. The Riverina is a fertile farming, and fish farming area n NSW.
Mount Isa - city in Queensland (pronounced Mount Eye-Za)
Ryan, don't feel bad about not getting the gist of many of the references in this poem. Frankly, I estimate only about half of Australians would immediately understand every reference, even after hearing it multiple times.
Billy Burmingham wrote and performed "The Twelfth Man" / "WIRED World of Sports" series of sendups. They're clever sendups with heaps of references to popular sports shows on TV.
Most of the references you did know where place names. This was recorded live and came out as 12" single in 1983 and was a no. 1 hit.
This was on a show called Rage from the 80s and 90s. Rage was the only show to air after 12am and ran through to 6am. It was a mainly a show of music and music clips. Many a teenage night was spent watching Rage.
Some of those you didn't get were place names. Like Thredbo and Perisher are well known Sky resorts.
Bass Strait is the water between the mainland and Tasmania.
"Crack onto Woomba is "Toowoomba" Closest small inland city to us out here in the Queensland bush.
Ryan it would be a bit difficult for us to have sky resorts without any mountains. Of course we have mountains, maybe not as tall as other countries but they are mountains.
That was very brave of you to watch that. As commented a fair knowledge of Australia is desirable to have any hope of understanding this and those subtitles were leading you astray. Credit to you for trying, anyhow.
Yeah it’s not surprising that most of this went over your head. Slang, places, animals and plants, only an Aussie or someone that has lived in ozzzz would fully understand. Mt Iza is in north west Queensland.
Mt Isa(QLD) mining town.
Mount Kosciuszko(NSW) I havent got my cosi(swimming gear) Oscar.
There are so many play on words in this that you have no chance of understanding even an eighth of them Ryan.
Goanna = lizard
Bass Strait = water between Tasmania & Aussie mainland.
Theres a ton of them.
✌️
Go Anna, Din Go, Kanga, Koala, Nulla Bore! Bass Straight, the divide between Victoria and Tasmania! Yes, I think that covered most of everything Australian, but it was really hectic! Try it again without having to translate! Billa Bong and Euca Lyptus are my favs! 😄 Eureka (Stockade)! Three Sisters! Astray Liana! 😂
Mountain Ranges in Australia. There are many. Look it up in Wikipedia.
Here are a few of the 114 actual ranges. Some of which cross state borders.
Mount Lofty Ranges which flattens out to then continue as the Flinder's Ranges, the Indulkna Range & the Gammon Ranges (where I grew up) in South Australia.
The Great Dividing Range which runs north to south for most of the Eastern states of Australia.
Snowy Mountains, the Australian Alps & the Warrumbungles to name 3 of the 20 plus in New South Wales.
Macdonnell Ranges & Musgrave Ranges are 2 of the 10 in the Northern Territory.
In Queensland there are the Expedition Range, Hervey Range, Leichhardt Range & Brisbane Range, to name a just few of the 26.
Tasmania has 15. Three of which are King William, The Spiers & the Wellington Range.
Victoria boasts the Australian Alps, the Strzlecki Ranges Cathedral Range plus others.
Hamersley Range, Musgrave Ranges & the Wuaamin Miliwundi Ranges are 3 of 15 Ranges in Western Australia.
Australian Capital Territory has 3 which are also on the NSW list, the Great Dividing Range, the Australian Alps & the Brindabilla Range, because the ACT is inside the state of NSW.
Mount Isa, Goanna is a lizard, Three Sisters is a rock formation, Mounk Cosiosko is one place where it snows in Australia, Bass Straight is the body of water between Tasmania and the mainland. Talyo is the paper used for rolling your own smokes. That will do for now.
*Tally Ho
Mount Kosciusko is the highest mountain in Australia. Bass Strait; Tally-Ho
Perisher Valley, Thredbo and Kozsciosco are in the same area not far from each other. Bass Strait is the bit of ocean separating the mainland (Victoria) from Tasmania.
You need a Aussie local interpreter for this one . 😂🤣🤙🇭🇲
Billy Birmingham was also known as The 12th Man - he was an impersonator, who basically took the proverbial out of the (Australian) channel 9 cricket commentary team - particularly the late, great Richie Bemaud, who anchored Ch. 9's Commentary team. Richie used to send Billy critiques of his impersonation each time an album was released - and they even appeared in an Australia Day lamb ad together (sort pf) before Richie's passing. Billy retired 'The 12th Man' just before Richie's death.
Mount Isa is a city in the Country region of Queensland, Australia. lots of place names in here it would be hard to pick up unless you knew them
OMG I LOVE BILLY BIRMINGHAM!!! 'Still the 12th Man' to this day is my absolute favourite - he's EXTREMELY talented ❤ I haven't even watched this video yet, I just heard Ryan say Billy's name & cheered! Edit: I HAVE seen this - my neighbour is obsessed with it 😆
Kookaburra, our laughing bird, a large member of the kingfisher family. Will fly past and steal sausages from barbies. Billabong is a small river pond, they join up in the wet season. Also a surf wear brand. The Nullabore plains have a days long road, between adelaide and west oz built on them. For instance take snacks, bigger meals, necessities, you may need a torch/flashlight, maybe extra fuel, and plenty of water with you, or don't start. It is a boring drive across the desert, so much so that complete strangers greet random drivers they come across, and like to make sure nobody gets stuck, or doesn't finish the drive. They send help. You can do this trip on a train and arrive well and truly fed, having dined well.
The coolabah wine cask or goon was stuck to the tray. Ayers rock, is now uluru, as it always was before europeans. Rocks up is vernacular for comes over. Eureka stockade was a convict days war.
Mt. Kosciusko (wrong spelling?), is the tallest mountain in Austalia. In the Snowy Mountains, there is a huge dam for water storage. Thredbo is a winter resort town on or near mt. Perisher. There was a rock slide disaster there. Tallyho, cigarette papers brand, morphed into Hobart Tasmania. Lord Howe is an Island. Bass straight is a treacherous ocean passage between Victoria and Tasmania, part of the roaring 40's, a map reference, also hits below Africa, and why they dug the suez canal to avoid it. Jacaranda is a huge tree with purple flowers, loved in season, it's georgous. Placed in public spaces for people to see and photograph. Toowoomba is a garden town, in queensland, they get snow too. Mt. Isa is in queensland too.
This was a difficult one for you Ryan. You need to know the town/city names and the subtitles were incorrect a lot of the times. We save up your posts to watch every Friday night. Love your work 😁🥰👏🏻
Appreciate your effort, thank you.
To be honest Ryan.. you did REALLY well. You got a lot of these. Well done.
A lot of Aussie places referred to
Nulla bores is Nullabour Plains
Eureka stockade is the gold rush
Perisher is in Blue Mountains
Lord Howe is a small island just off the coast.
Bass Straight is the water between Victoria and Tasmania
Mount Isa and Toowoomba are Queensland towns
Mount Kosciuszko = 2,,228m, Cradle Mountain = 1,545m, Mt Townsend = 2,209m, Mt Wellington = 1,271m, Mt Warning = 1.156m, Doma A (Antarctic Territory) = 4,093m, Mawson Peak = 2,745m, Mt Kaputar = 1,508m, Rams Head = 2,177m, and many more - BUT, "Mount Isa" is a city in the Gulf Country region of Queensland, Australia.
15 Days in a Road Train - Perth to Brisbane to Melbourne then back to Perth - Gear Changes have a look at this you will like it
Well done for having a go Ryan.👍
I remember when this came out… There was an edited version for radio which cut out the “barrier reefer/getting high” references (but kept in the “cock or two” bit… go figure!)
Billy Birmingham is the genius behind the “12th Man” series. Legends of cricket and other sports…
The Eureka Stockade is Australia's unsuccessful rebellious incident. Random trivia...More than 160 years ago, an African American man who had a major role in shaping the legacy of the Eureka Stockade was laid to rest in an unmarked grave in Bendigo.
Key points:
John Joseph was the first of 13 men tried for high treason following the Eureka Stockade
The African American man was acquitted by a jury
He has been buried in an unmarked grave for more than 160 years
John Joseph was one of 13 men charged with high treason for his involvement in the rebellion in 1854.
He was the first to be tried in Victoria's Supreme Court and was acquitted by a jury after 30 minutes of deliberation, paving the way for the acquittals of the 12 men who followed.-ABC
Bass Strait separates Tasmania from the Australian mainland. Mt. Isa is a city in the Gulf Country region of Queensland, Australia. Golfer Greg Norman and tennis player Pat Rafter both come from Mt. Isa.
Hi Ryan. This was written in the 1970s. Very strong Aussie slang!
Absolutely love Australiana by Austen Tayshus - very clever
You will have to be Australian to understand most of it !
Wow that routine is like your final exam on Aussie places and culture, it's no wonder you spent the whole time so puzzled. The accent and the play on words. The Twelfth Man is Billy Birmingham who wrote the routine, he's done lots of great comedy and impressions (that you will not recognise) especially related to cricket but I don't suggest you go there it's even more specific than this video.
I loved this when it first came out, it lost it's edge fast though, nice to see it again for nostalgic reasons, can put it away for the next 1/4 century again now.
😂😂😂😂😂 The best!, so proud to be an aussie 😁
Just went straight over Ryan's head😂😂😂😂😂
Mt Isa, Qld mining town. Lots of towns mentioned, Toowoomba, Noosa, etc. You did well!!!
Hahaha this is fantastic. Yeah good luck to any one who's not an Aussie 😂
How good is that!!
It was Mt (mount) Isa. UA-cam auto subtitles is amusing. And from memory there was mention of mount kosciuszko. Yes there are many mountains in australia. mostly down the east coast. but nothing too big.. Mt Kozy is only like 2200metres high. Would be hard for anyone who hasnt lived in oz for quite a while, to pick up on all of those.. especially if you are also fighting with the accent. ;)
This was like level expert. You are maximum level intermediate my friend. Which is still very good.
I’ve enjoyed this set since it came out in the ‘80s. What was even funnier though was watching you trying to work out what it’s about with NFI. The subtitles that you use are hopeless BTW, and unless you also know a lot of Australian place names you’d have no hope of understanding this comedy gold.
Mount Either --> Mount Isa, it was a mountain in north western Queensland, they started mining there in the 1920's now it's a huge hole in the ground and they're still mining it
The best I could manage in order of appearance:
