The previous freeze frame was discontinued on December 1st 2007. I would like to get a hold of that one as well. Email me if you happen to know where i can get it.

I agree. The Regal theater I used to go to (until July 2022) and Cinemark would play this creepy-assed music, and I would be shivering as if it was Luigi's Mansion, and I was Luigi
So many good memories associated with this logo. Regal is pretty much the standard where I'm from...lots of adventures, dates, and fun times. I knew that just for the moment, everything in life would take a break, until of course the rollercoaster animation occurred. Regal Cinemas for life!
Dude this was amazing when it came on this announcement and the Rollercoaster got me excited before even watching the film I love regal cinemas it was my go to I've been to other theaters like amc but none of them ever gave me the experience like regal did I'm regal entertainment all the way

Speaking of movie technical difficulties, one time during the Toy Story 3D double feature, when Buzz was about to "fly" the projector broke down and the screen was black for a few minutes, that kind of scared me a bit

@jmass67 I work at a movie theater and this "freezing" just means that the projectionist is late in starting the movie. As soon as he/she starts the movie, the que will tell the other projector to take this off the screen and show the movie and also it switches the sound from Non-Sync to DTS/Surround for the movie and the trailers. If this screen freezes for too long, you should let the management of the theater know.

i remember when I saw the Polar Express it was back when they had the Cingular sponcer, the screen flipped upside down, then the movie wouldn't play... they had to pull the lights up and continue the music for an extra 10 seconds, but that was back when the screen fade out & music continue was part of the trailer... i'm suprised nobody has the classic cingular one up anyway...

I remember seeing this and feeling slightly uneased, especially as the lights faded and the screen expanded. Now we don’t have that smooth transition between ads, trailers and the movie itself, and I kinda miss that. It added to the overall experience.

Hah, the Regal near me here in Atlanta played this right to the end on the midnight premiere of "Terminator Salvation." They actually began to project the film while the digital projector was still playing this!

the reason its so long in the end is so they can pause (freeze) it and switch from lcd to the film projector.

i went to see hotel transylvania (new selena gomez movie) at a local cinemark theatre in texas city when a policy trailer with different characters from different movie titles shows up: harry potter, princess mia, gabriella montez, the lorax, simba, pocahontas, eilonwy, mario, pikachu, scrooge mcduck and ramona, all talking with their mouths full of food, telling me to hush their lips this instant. then the cinemark logo appears after it.

It's Amazing it reminds me and my family watching Pacific Rim back in 2013 while I bought the PlayStation Vita with FIFA soccer & Call of Duty Black ops Declassified from GameStop and getting some popcorn , Hot Dogs , Drink of soda , And gummy Candy's also Ice cream and hanging out with my Girlfriend as well .

GochEm 30 Both are somewhat the same tune, just the melodies are slightly different. This one is more piano oriented, while the current one focuses more on ambiance. However, both are great in their own respective way.

They have to change it to the movie projector. When the video cameras come up on the left and right, that is their cue to set up the movie and put it on the projector.

This is soooo LLLAMMMEE!! I miss the roller coaster, or all those neat trailers UA used to play before the movie. Now we have a still frame playing some Phillip Glass crap?!? This is exactly why people stay home from the theaters these days. Way too McDonaldized and just not FUN anymore... *yawns*

Nope... Just a bunch of ads. I think they started using digital automation software & maybe a single projector setup so it's no longer needed as a "sponsored time buffer"

These bumpers are used at movie theaters across the country. I’m not sure how long they’ve used this bumper, but alas, it’s not a copy.
In other words, this is a generic bumper tailored to show the movie company’s logo
mailman019 I haven’t seen bumpers like this where I’m from. I have a cinema chain called Showcase Cinemas. After the Geico commercial plays, it then shows a Chevrolet commercial, and then the Chevrolet Logo and a text at the bottom saying “Enjoy the Show”. I mean I have seen this bumper from Regal Cinemas before many times, but I only have one near me. And after that, just Showcase Cinemas.
Sprint one is better
The length of this is unnecessarily long. 20-30 seconds would have been more than enough.
Since the previews/commercials were on a digital projector this was the last video to que the projectionist to start the film projector for the feature.
Probably because people might take 45 seconds to silence a phone
