Nobel Prize lecture: Barry Sharpless, Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022

Barry Sharpless delivered his Nobel Prize lecture "Click Chemistry: the Certainty of Chance" on 8 December 2022.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022 jointly to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless "for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry".

He is most definitely in the top 5 most intuitive chemical minds to ever exist. His creativity for chemical reactions is just wild! Absolutely terrible public speaker though 😂

Sure, would be. But it doesn't really matter. There are enough good presenters, papers, videos and books about Mr. Sharpless' work. If somebody is really interested in it he/she finds good sources. It's actually refreshing and humanizing to see nobel prize winners struggle with presentation. There are already so many annoying people in the world who do the opposite (great presentation with little content) 😊
Plus: give him a break please! He was 81 years old at the speech. It is not unusal that rhetoric skills can also decrease with age, even for pros like politicians (just compare speeches of politicians in there prime (~50 - 60) with speeches when they reach or excess 80. Joe Biden being a good example now...).
