Once One who has experience ceaseation one become stream enterer. Mind purification is completed he know what is dhamma and what is not. What is mind purification he knows and what is purified mind he knows. As long as there are 8 noble truth and four foundation of mindfulness exist, the world will not be depleted of ARIYA. You do not need to know everythings in the suttas you will only require to know these 8 noble truth and 4 foundation of mindfulness. This knowledge is enough to leads you to the ends of sufferring. These knowledge when cultivated, when perfectef it will bear wisdom that leads to nibanna. At ceaseation of the six senses one is awaken and one enter nibanna. In this way, you are always will be with true dhamma. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI
Do not worry too much when you want to learn Buddha teaching. You do not need to be professional dhamma teacher or speaker. Unless you are interested to teach dhamma. But if you are seeking enlightment, then it is better if you can find an Ariya teacher and if you can find one that will be very fortunate for you. He will be able to guide you to final liberation to enlightment. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI
Insight is knowledge to the truth and panna is wisdom to nibanna. 1st jhanna cannot experience nibanna because ceaseation does not happen at 1st jhanna. That is why Kalama sutta say DO NOT CONFIRM ANYTHING JUST BECAUSE IT AGREES WITH YOUR SCRIPTURES YOU SHOULD GO BEYOND OPINION AND BELIEF. You can rightly reject anything which when accepted, practised and perfected leads to more aversion, more craving and more delusion. They are not beneficial and are to be avoided.And the reverse are to be accepted as truth. This should be your criteria on what is and what is not the truth. When accepted and practise leads to unconditional wisdom that allow you to develop and progress and peaceful mind. BUDDHAM SARANAM GACCHAMI
I just wanna ask Dr Tan, once he learnt the teaching of Madhyamika and Yogacara , will he buy those fundementalistic garbages propagaged by Dhammavuddho?
