If you glue your molds down to your project and paint them carefully while still wet, they are less likely to crack and shrink. Also, make sure to put one piece of clay into the mold rather than adding several small pieces into one cell, otherwise you'll get air pockets, which will cause cracking. Thought that might help you on your new journey with using the molds. Your ideas are beautiful ❤❤❤😮
Thank you so much for the thoughtful advice. I did the first coat of paint on these while the clay was wet. Then glued them down as I didn't want to paint the edges of the people while on the wood slice (I know how that would have ended up!). I appreciate your advice.

New subscriber - Love all these IOD molds just too pricey for my budget but lovely to look at!
Thanks for subscribing! I love watching what others make too, even if I don't do it myself.
You can also pop your filled moulds into the freezer for a few minutes to help release the clay. 👍🏻👍🏻
Ooh excellent tip. I knew that pro-IODers would have the good tips. Thanks so much.
