Been stitching for 26 years and more motivated in the last few years thanks to flosstube and facebook groups:)
I have been stitching again since 2015. But I first taught myself back in the late 1980's. And flosstube has been a great source of inspiration.
Thank you for another great video. I've been stitching for more than 30 years. I stopped for awhile, but finding Flosstube has got me stitching again.

I started stiching when I was 4 yrs old in 1960! That was stamped embroidery and a dresser set. Crosstitch came after crewel and needlepoint in my teens and early twenties. My first Crosstitch was a sampler, of course! "Give us this day our daily bread" complete with a loaf of bread in a basket! Still have it hanging. So many lovely things in the 40+ years since!! Along with quilting, knitting and crochet, stitching has been a constant in my busy years of raising our 5 as we taught them at home. Two married with babies, 2 getting married this Spring and a Grand Finale still in high school. All 5, along with my Sweetie husband, are helping me care for my 89 yr old Momma...the one who first put needle and thread in my tiny 4 yr old hand. I'm a blessed woman, indeed!
Just discovered Flosstube and I am hooked! Love seeing a mother and daughter doing things together. My daughter lives 11 hours from me so we don’t get to do much together. I have been stitching off and on for over 40 years! Enjoy your time together, it’s precious!
I first started cross stitching in the late 70's and stitched for 20 years. I then found quilting and gave up cross stitch. Quilted for 20 years and now I'm back to cross stitch. I'm now doing both. The new hand dyed fabrics and fancy flosses are what brought me back. Thanks for your fun videos.

I started stitching in the early 70"s so have been stitching around 45 years. I have put it down over the years to sew for my kids, to knit and crochet, but never for very long. It hasn't been my primary craft lately but it is definitely my favorite.
I been stitching since 1980's. Stopped for a long time. I stopped to crochet and knit. Then I started quilting about 8 years ago. Just recently in December of 2017 I got back into cross stitching. I love it.

I started stitching around 1979. I had never seen a cross-stitch store until my family moved from Kansas City to Cape Girardeau Missouri. A lady from the church we attended owned one. I walked in one Saturday and it has been all downhill since then. The store has been gone for many, many years but the building still stands. Every time I pass the building my heart tugs for days gone bye. It’s hard to believe now I’ve been stitching more years of my life than not. I thank God often for the gift of stitching that she gave me for inviting me in to her shop.
I taught myself to cross stitch 35 years ago when I was 15, but my grandma taught me embroidery and crocheting when I was much younger. I really enjoy your videos!

I have been stitching for 32 years! Wow! I still have the first pieces that I stitched which are a little kit that made a small picture and a towel. When I was younger I would stitch for 7 and 8 hours a day on the weekend. I wish I had that luxury now!! I love your Floss Tube videos! They have given me inspiration to get back into my stitching!!

I've been stitching for over 34+ years now and so grateful to have this Hobby! I made my first stitched piece which was a little kit of a rocking horse my mother-in-law had introduced me to after my son was born. I wished I still had it! Nice video ladies😉

I love the Winter smalls. I was
looking for Winter patterns this week and saw it. I stitched my first
cross stitch piece when I was 8 years old. I grew up in England and went
to a small school. In the afternoons we learned to knit and cross stitch
and spent the last 30 minutes of the day stitching. I actually have that
piece still. I stitched again when I was first married and my husband
went to night school. My local LNS had classes. I've stitched on
and off through the years and recently started back again. I'm now 61 so
I guess that's about 53 years. I love watching you both!
Love you ladies! I first stitched in my 20’s, which was from about 1986-1991, then stopped because life got in the way....I was cleaning out a box from my parents house in 2014, and realized there were a few patterns and kits that were almost done (ring a bell Chelsea! 😊), so I finished 2 pieces, and from there fell back in love with stitching! It was so relaxing, and so rewarding to finish pretty patterns! Then I found Flosstube in 2015, looking for a tutorial for finishing ideas, and my stash grew and grew and, well you know the rest! ❤️❤️

I stitched my first little kit in 1977. Took a couple breaks, but have been stitching consistently since the mid-80s. Love your weekly videos.
I love your videos, and love seeing all of your projects! I learned to stitch as a child, discovered counted cross stitch shortly after I was married, 38 years ago, and finally liked stitching and did it because I wanted to, and not just because my Mom told me I should! Now she and I have shared many happy hours together stitching.
Yay Chelsea you got to stitch this week :) Great progress on your piece! It is crazy how much stitching are in each of those Hawk Run blocks! Great finishes as always Priscilla! The Winter Wonderland piece looks great on that little board and I LOVE the banner idea! So cute! I started stitching the first time when my daughter was about 2 so that would have been 1994. I stitched mostly in the Spring and Summer months and then would crochet in the Winter and alternate between the two. In 2008 I lost my stitchy bug when my Grandpa passed away of cancer. For 3 months I helped take care of him so he could be at home like he wanted instead of a nursing home or hospice. So while I stayed at his house I would stitch. After he passed it was too hard to pick up a needle. I just got my stitchy bug back in September of 2015 and have been stitching ever since :) It was amazing to see all the new designers and how patterns changed during my stitchy hiatus! I’ve waxed and waned over the years with kids, but the past year I’ve rekindled my love for cross stitch, and found Facebook groups and Flosstube, which I love. I started stitching in 1988 when a friend taught me. Though I took up many other crafts over the years, and sewed since I was a teenager, I really enjoyed cross-stitch and usually had a WIP going. Most of what I stitched I gave as gifts. In 2003 I gave everything else up, including stitching, to concentrate on paper crafting. I still had some stash, projects I still wanted to do "someday," but didn't get the bug again until last October. So after a 15 year hiatus, I stopped in my LNS to find out what was new. Wow! I never guessed there would be such a thing as FlossTube! The lady who owns The Stitching Cottage told me to watch you guys first and here we are, 3 months later and I've FFO'd 1 project and FO'd three more. (I'm working this weekend on finishing two of them.) That's another thing, I'm learning a completely new language! And all I used to stitch on back in the day was Aida and used DMC. Now the fabrics and flosses are so varied. Who knew such a solitary craft would find a community. Isn't the Internet wonderful? All the FlossTubers are so talented and generous with sharing their love of the craft. It's truly inspiring!
My grandma taught me to stitch when I was little and just never really picked up on it. 40 years later, this past September, I picked it back up again & absolutely love it!!!!! You have both been a HUGE inspiration to me!!!!
Oh my gosh since watching your videos my stash has grown much faster than normal. How have I missed the Hallow-Day Inn by With Thy Needle and Thread. Love it! Lets see I have always done one craft or another my whole life. I learned to crochett and did latch hook as a kid. In my teens I started sewing clothing and my sister and I did cross stitch. In my 30's I started quilting and taught myself how to knit. Now in my 40's I mostly do Cross stitch and quilting. So I have been cross stitching on and off for 30 years and the craft just keeps getting better. Thank you so much for your videos.

I just started stitching in the Fall of 2015. I was looking for a hobby and remembered doing some plastic canvas back in the '80's. I started with the "Learn a Craft" kits by Dimensions, and have never looked back. Thanks to you and all our "Floss tubers" who inspire us all!

I taught myself to stitch in 1988, and then put it aside in 2013 when I got bit by the knitting bug. Now, I've pulled out my fabric and fancy floss again (thanks to you ladies, and Flosstube!), and hopefully can divide up my crafting time between the two.

I started embroidering when I was 5! My mom traced pictures from my coloring books onto handkerchiefs and I embroidered them! I started cross stitching in 1983, so 35 years ago! I am soooooo addicted! Love love love your videos!

I started cross stitching in the late 1970's when the cross stitch store in Catonsville, Maryland opened. It wasn't far from our work so lots of us girls would go there at lunchtime to shop. We would then stitch during our lunch break. It was so much fun. The cross stitch store is called The Stitching Post. They are still open but moved to a larger location. I stopped stitching for a while and worked on tole painting and quilting. I picked up cross stitching in 2015 and alternate between quilting and stitching. I love watching your videos! You two are so cute and funny! I'm 46 now and my mom taught me to stitch back in the 80s. Then in 5th grade, my teacher incorporated some stitchy projects into our math class. Those were the best days I ever had in math lessons! I've tried other crafts through the years, but I always come back to cross stitch. It's my lifelong favorite.

I have been stitching for 45 years. I started when I was 10 with some plain homespun and a reel of sewing cotton from my local drapers in a small town in South Western Australia. I played around with this and then started cross stitching on Aida. Over the years I have quilted embroidered, almost completed a certificate of hand embroidery from the Royal School of Needlework ( UK). I have now come the full circle back to cross stitch and I love it 💓

I have been stitching for about 50 years!! My grandmother started my sister and I on embroidery when I was eight years old, and I have had a love of stitching ever since. My daughter and grandchildren also stitch, so I consider myself a very lucky women. I think my favorite season to stitch is probably fall, with winter a close second. Chelsea, that Madame Chantilly chicken pushing the baby buggy couldn't be any more adorable for you and your nursery! You GOTTA do that one quick! I drooled during haul today. Next Saturday I'll come prepared and wear a bib. I've been stitching for around 32 years, since 1986. I enjoy running into samplers and other pieces around the home and discovering that it's maybe the sampler's 20th or 30th anniversary. They serve as pieces of my memory for me and sometimes I'll remember what I was doing, where I was living or what was going on at the time. Memory stitches all over the house.
