+aporia82 Definitely! Slower drumming is actually very tricky. Have you watched the "Symphony For The Lost" DVD? The drummer loses the beat at the beginning of "Victims Of The Past". I'm not criticizing him; in fact, the song's intro is so slow it's very easy to lose the pace.

Very monotonous drummer, I'd say. If you compare with Lee Morris (any fill or riff - just try that bloody bouncy one in 'Hallowed Land') or Matthew Archer (fills for 'As I Die', 'Gothic' and so many more), Erlandsson is in a coma...

I turned into metal in the confirmation camp through Sepultura's Chaos A.D. album. Metal is mainstream here. And I'm sure there are many other videos here with this song, not just this one and also many more on other platforms so I would not be worried.

Quite simply, the best Paradise Lost album in years. One that combines the intensity of Shades Of God with the untamed blare of Gothic and the suppleness of Draconian Times. These are high-grade compositions, well served by producer Gomez's heavy hand.
The Plague Within serves as a reminder that not only did Pardise Lost create the blueprint for gothic metal, but they still do it brilliantly.
