Same! I just started playing my own game a month or two ago and of all the videos I've watched, yours have been the most helpful and enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
Same here, just started 2 weeks ago and I also get frustrated because I dodge too late or too early all the time and can’t get the timing right. So this video helped a lot, thanks!
Never underestimate how much positive you are doing for the gaming community and you are making videos to help enhance a lot of players lives and make them feel more in control of their characters and feel like they can stand on their own two feet and not be scared of these things in the game. Great great work as always
the struggle to combine the adult southern bell accent with game play tutorials in my mind is real. I live in bama, and this is not the subject I'm used to hearing with such a pleasant voice.
This was a nice way to teach the mechanic s in a slow but concise method so people can easily practice without feeling like it's not okay to mess up, I'm glad you pointed that out and thanks for the great tips
Your electrocution method of beating the shrine guardians was the most valuable tip I’ve found. I was so discouraged and once I tried this I was back to enjoying the game. Thanks for all of the great videos. I’ll be following you when I begin Tears of the Kingdom.
Love your videos!! I'm still so bad at flurry rushing. I always end up trying too early and they end up hitting me. LMAO. But watching your videos has given me confidence all the same! Before Christmas I hadn't tried to defeat anything more difficult than a guardian. Now I have two divine beasts under my belt, stone talus, countless hinox, and even a lynel!! (It was a pathetic fight but I beat him all the same!!)
A win is a win either way 💪 I used to do the same with the flurry rushes that is what made me start practicing this way, stick with it you will get it and thank you so much for watching!
When I was 8-9 I was a beast at this games, I knew every combat technique and I was so good. But now I’m horrible at it, I don’t know how I did so well. I’m able to flurry rush but sometimes I get nervous, and I dodge too early leading to me missing my flurry rush.
Regarding parrying: A parry doesn't consume shield durability but regular blocking does. All kinds of lasers can also be parried (yes, even a guardian's) When the shield's defensive capability (the 'number' of the shield) is higher than the enemy's weapon damage, a block will stagger the enemy briefly. A parry will knock the weapon out of its hand and stun it in this case. When the defensive capability is lower than the incoming weapon's damage, a block will not stagger the enemy, and a parry will just stun it.
It's very easy to defeat any enemy once you finally get the hang of Flurry rushes & parrying. But beginners who have played & restarted 3-4 times still are in the stage of learning. But once you've played/restarted 5+ times I would guarantee you're good at the game, but 10+ I'm guaranteeing that you'll be avoiding any attack possible. (Yes sometimes people can get distracted and end up getting hit, and sometimes that can happen if you miss parrying or flurry rushing) I just restarted my 3rd time, and the very first thing I went to do when I saw my first enemy (Bokoblin) I started parrying but I missed sometimes, cause I needed to practice a little bit. But I ended up killing the enemy after 3 Parry's
This is the most helpful BOTW video I’ve ever watched!! I can’t thank you enough!! I love this game, but I’m stalled part way through. I’ve been trying to apply all the moves at once. When I’m too slow and start losing, I revert to mashing buttons in a blind panic. 😂. Practicing each move individually is such a great strategy - thank you very much! 🙏🏼😊
I don’t know if anyone else watches Archer.. but the whole Lynel section was the definition of “phrasing.” Couldn’t help saying it! Thanks for the tips and video! Just getting to BOTW now and I’ve watched a ton of your videos since I started.
Great tutorial. Never a big gamer but for some reason wife gave me a switch with BOTW with pro controller for my retirement (yeah I’m old) present last June. Could never get the combat mechanics down even though I’ve been to that combat trainer shrine a few times. Going to go out in Hyrule to work on to attack types of the monsters.

I followed your tips and they have really worked for me. Now all the Major Test of Strength shrines are do-able and I'm no longer afraid of guardians. thank you so much!
When the guardians start spinning that laser, you can jump and use the paraglide position yourself upon it, then you make and air attack with a weapon. That would stun it and you can make a couple of extra hits
Sometimes that would work, not all the times and not for all guardians. The stalkers (the spider looking freaks) Some of them can get stunned by that method, but not all of them. However I don't recommend stunning them that way, I recommend using either Urbosa's fury or stun them with the Stasis. However to stun them with stasis you need 3 ancient cores and give them to purah. Because you cannot stasis enemies without upgrading the stasis (which is extremely helpful)

First time player of BOTW. I have been watching your videos and they're easy to understand and straight to the point. Been trying to parry and dodge but I do it too early. Saving and then practice with early enemies is a great idea. Thanks.

I've never been able to do the flips and dodges, but I've never actually tried to practice like this. I hate to admit it, but it never occurred to me to go pick a spot with 1 monster and just practice the moves. Guess I need to do that! I love the shock trap for Guardians - or anything else I can set it up for like silver monsters - it's fun to just stand back and watch them die while I twiddle my thumbs. Your videos are awesome!

Hi Sherry! Thanks for the video. You made me go back to playing BOTW again. This is the very reason I got frustrated with the game early on and just quit and move on. Keep doing this kind of videos. It really helps a lot of slow-handed players like me. 😅. Much ❤ from the PH. 🙏
You are very welcome… That’s the same reason I made the video, I was extremely frustrated with the enemies and that’s what made me learn, I am so glad it helped and thank you so much for watching!
Thank you so much for making these videos. I honestly appreciate these so much. I have more of a for-science approach even if something doesn't work out I try something else, especially in combat I use my bombs a lot if I do not have a lot of items. Thank you for these tips. These are really helpful tips.
THANK YOU! I just got a switch this week after my friend knew how big of an elden ring fan i was - so he recommended Tears of the Kingdom since im a massive open world fan Wow I thought i was absolutely awful at combat. I mean, im really good at elden ring but something in this game wasn't clicking for me without a roll/dodge mechanic like dark souls/elden ring. Interesting to see this is time based and direction based I really appreciate this video, thank you :)
You can parry and flurry rush the guardians spin attack. It's tricky, but it can be done. I usually use a two handed weapon spin attack on the guardians. I smiled you showing the glitch at the end. I do that on the guardian in the shrine in Hyrule Castle to get it's weapons. Great video, as always.
Dear goodness .... I sincerely have just been running for my life. Buying up arrows or attacking with rolling bombs from a distance... I need to get to practicing the parry again.
Holy smokes this was an incredibly useful video. I'm just playing BotW for the first time, and the groups of 2-3 green bokoblins kick my butt. I can't wait to master these moves and school them!! Thanks!
This video really helped. Thank you. One additional tip for some of you having issues... I was trying to constantly move and press the jump button, at the exact same time, and it was causing me to not move or dodge improperly. Once I started moving preemptively and just focusing on pressing the dodge button at the right moment... I always flurry rush now. Also watch out when locking on because your movement is relative to the camera placement.
Something I have a problem with are the Yiga with those windcleavers. When is the best time to make your move, when the weapon swings or when the blast of wind is heading towards you? Tried several times and can't seem to get it right. Nice video for those having problems with this method.
To be honest I stasis them and run up on them rather than fight them right out, and or arrows …I have never really tried to see what could be a good alternative … may have to check into it 🤔has been awhile since I have tried any other way with them
Just ran into one … when he swigs his cleaver straight at you if you are close to him Dodge left or right for a flurry rush, but you need to be a little close to him…but when he hits the ground get up in the air from the wind and you can give him some head shots… hope this helps…but I mostly will use stasis and run up on him 😉
Thank you so much for your videos., You are helping me a lot, i bought the game 5 years ago but never finished it because 'adult life' 😢; right now im so inmerse in the game trying so hard to finish it 100% and then go for ToK (sorry for my bad english, no native)
I’m still getting through botw because of some unfortunate circumstances with my first switch and having to take a while on getting a new one 😅 but I’m pretty decently far and I’m getting harder and harder enemies, I’m trying not to do the brute force method and going straight into them swinging. This helped me so much ! I immediately went and practiced in the great plateau until I got it down.
In video game design we call these tells. When you play a game and creature does a certain action or behavior before it attacks that tells you what attack is coming next so you can prepare for it. It's a very common tactic and games in order to help condition the player to figuring out what is the correct course of action. Some games like monster Hunter can actually be beaten without taking any damage if you know the monsters tell. Therefore it's up to the player to strategize and use quick thinking.
Oh thank God you made a video on this. You're my favorite channel 😂 I have not been able to get tye flurry rush down and I only have main Ganon left to fight 😐

Thank you, just starting this in 2024 and felt so weak sneaking by everything unable to fight.
Take your time, try different things and don’t get frustrated with yourself… You got this💪it takes time to build link up, so just explore everything and enjoy your journey!💞
thank you, been playing this for a few months now and i wish i saw this earlier, i learned most of this the hard way but ypu've shown me something i didn't know about the guardian patterns. i also for months neen seeing the shock traps in vids everywhere but couldn't pull it out until your vid on that. i almost never comment on vids but this vid has earned a huge thanks
You are welcome, glad I can help and thank you for watching!
Not gonna lie, for me its still quite hard to perfectly time a parry & avoid attacks
Im still learning at least, but this video gave great advices!
I've been combing through your videos as i get back into botw and man i have to say this is my favorite channel for it. i love how you explain stuff! Most channels are too idk technical? About things and i get soo confused. lol my adhd/autistic brain says thank you!
Finally found someone who just explains it calmly and easily... My english is not that good and if they talk and act fast it's just impossible to follow :D Thank you because I really want to learn this and not to run away anymore from fear lol...
You are very welcome, I hope it helps and thank you so much for watching! You got this 💪😎
@@WTF-Gaming Yeah.... I am very happy with this explanation... Thank you very much... and indeed just watch what moves the enemies make... I don't run away anymore but now confront them with my shield and weapons... Even with a 2 handy weapons I'm going to attack them now .... Don't throw bombs remotely anymore ... Come on I like them raw now hihihi :P
Thank you for your awesome channel! I love the way you explain things, calmly and slowly instead of a million miles per hour. I'm just getting back into Zelda after many years and you've been such a big help. Thank you!!!
You are very welcome, I am glad it helps. And thank you for watching!
Recently bought the Zelda edition OLED Switch. Playing through BoTW now before taking on the new one. Your channel has helped greatly. Thanks for these videos!
You are very welcome, and thank you for watching!
This is exactly what I needed. Just starten playing botw for the First time. Thank you so much. Your videos are everything. ❤️
You are very welcome, I’m glad they help and thank you for watching!
I started playing this game a month ago after getting a switch last Christmas... Thanks for this video, it's really clear! Now I just need to practice! I always try to continue the game without having to fight, which works okay but it would be nice to not panic if a fight does happen 😅
You are very welcome and a little practice can go a long way 😉 Thank you so much for watching!
I also got this game last Christmas lol!
First time player of BOTW. I have been watching your videos and they're easy to understand and straight to the point. Been trying to parry and dodge but I do it too early. Saving and then practice with early enemies is a great idea. Thanks.
You are welcome… Keep at it it will not come overnight, but once you get it, you will be unstoppable😉 Thank you so much for watching!
love your videos. straight and to the point and your Zelda videos are my favorite. I'm late to the game and just got a Nintendo switch for my birthday this year and just started playing Zelda and I'm so grateful for the videos you make because I can really understand them. Thank you so much
From a 'senior' player, thank you so much!!
im obsessed with the way you say side to side aaaa thanks you for this video it's very helpful for a beginner like me
The best video I have seen on how to parry/flurry rush, but it toke a young lady to do this video thanks What The Fox love your title by the way a great play on words! Boys, listen up, she is good!
Thank you!💞
This was amazingly helpful
Thank you, glad I could help and thank you for watching!
If there isn’t one enemy in one spot kill all of them but one with arrows or something save and then practice 😉yes the trick comes in handy I used to hit all the test of strength shrines after a blood moon to collect ancient parts still do occasionally or for weapons …thank you and thank you again for watching!
What is the shock trap?

You are very welcome. I’m so glad they helped. And thank you for watching!
THANK YOU!
I just got a switch this week after my friend knew how big of an elden ring fan i was - so he recommended Tears of the Kingdom since im a massive open world fan
Wow I thought i was absolutely awful at combat. I mean, im really good at elden ring but something in this game wasn't clicking for me without a roll/dodge mechanic like dark souls/elden ring. Interesting to see this is time based and direction based
I really appreciate this video, thank you :)
You are very welcome. I’m so glad it helped. And thank you for watching!
I'm back on BOTW after a few years, and want to start again with a little more skills. Your channel helps ! Thanks from France !
You are welcome… And thank you for watching!
You helped me so much. I have had a great time for 5 months and 456 hrs with cheat videos but I beat the game today!!! So much fun.
I furry rushed a lynel, why was it…chasing me?!
Good tips … that is all I use in test of strength shrines (the trick) after blood moons to collect ancient parts😉
🤣🤣try this it may help…

@@giganticmoon Lol. I missed that after proof reading. :)
Still, thanks for the tip. Still having a bit of trouble with scouts.
Dear goodness .... I sincerely have just been running for my life. Buying up arrows or attacking with rolling bombs from a distance... I need to get to practicing the parry again.
7:20 If you wanna go full sicko mode you can actually land on the guardian scouts to make them stop their circle-beam attack.
Thank you ma'am.. because of you I have got back to this amazing game ..
And none made such detailed and informative combat guide like you did
Holy smokes this was an incredibly useful video. I'm just playing BotW for the first time, and the groups of 2-3 green bokoblins kick my butt. I can't wait to master these moves and school them!! Thanks!
One of the best videos I watched about the game.
I absolutely love this! So helpful.
Thank you so much and I’m glad that I can help… Good tips. Thank you!
Wow! Best explanation ever! Straight to the point ❤❤❤ I wish I found you sooner. Excellent job. Thank you kindly 🌷🍀
You are very welcome and thank you so much for watching!
Something I have a problem with are the Yiga with those windcleavers. When is the best time to make your move, when the weapon swings or when the blast of wind is heading towards you? Tried several times and can't seem to get it right. Nice video for those having problems with this method.
To be honest I stasis them and run up on them rather than fight them right out, and or arrows …I have never really tried to see what could be a good alternative … may have to check into it 🤔has been awhile since I have tried any other way with them
@@WTF-Gaming Stay tuned for another amazing tutorial, coming soon to a device near you!
Just ran into one … when he swigs his cleaver straight at you if you are close to him Dodge left or right for a flurry rush, but you need to be a little close to him…but when he hits the ground get up in the air from the wind and you can give him some head shots… hope this helps…but I mostly will use stasis and run up on him 😉
@@WTF-Gaming Thanks for the info. Will try this

Thank you so much for your videos., You are helping me a lot, i bought the game 5 years ago but never finished it because 'adult life' 😢; right now im so inmerse in the game trying so hard to finish it 100% and then go for ToK (sorry for my bad english, no native)
You are very welcome I’m so glad they help, thank you for watching!💞
Six years after release and still the best game ever made! Can’t wait for TOTK !
Thank you so much for this video, I’m just now playing Zelda and your tutorials have helped so much
Thanks for the videos! (And the help) I'm looking forward to see TOTK videos. Saludos desde México
What an amazing game. Just picked up a switch, and this was the first game I bought. I enjoy your content, thanks!
Thank you, and thank you for watching!
Oh thank God you made a video on this. You're my favorite channel 😂 I have not been able to get tye flurry rush down and I only have main Ganon left to fight 😐
Thank you, You are very welcome and thank you so much for watching!
@@WTF-Gaming flurry rush is addicting 😂 I spent 3 hours chasing every monster I can find and took down 8 guardians
@@brandonreid6948 nice💪💞
I also use ice arrows on Guardian Scouts during their spinny stage, stops them just as effectively as the shock arrows.
Just started this game and I really love your video series. Please keep up the hard work and if you have any plans to make a “let’s play”, I’d be the first to do it.
PS: Subscribed!
Thank you!
Actually quite helpful on whether to dodge side to side or backwards. I be dodging however and always getting hit and I was like I’m deffo doing something wrong.
Been playing for a couple days now so hopefully I’ll be dying less and less, aha
Just practice, you got this 💪
Thank you - that was so helpful. I've been avoiding Lynels in TOTK as I couldn't do this.

I absolutely LOVE your videos. So in depth and helpful
After learning parry and dodging techniques, I finally am able to beat all the Lynels i had left thinking it's just not possible to kill them with a sword powered 20.
Plus I'm loving the fact that i can even parry guardian's laser. Just need right timing to deflect the attack.
You got this 😎💪
A very thorough tutorial. Thank You

😂😂wish id seen this video earlier, played botw a few years ago, started again a few months ago and couldn't do flurry rushes to beat the divine beast where u have to do it. So gave up again. Will go back and try again when i get stuck on totk, which i will lol, but will def be following your vids on that. So glad i found you😂

I bought it in mid October 2022 after long deliberation for a roundtrip trip from LA to NY. I have logged 140 hours in the game since. I totally understand the hype!! What a fantastic game!!
Thank you my fellow southern bell, *tips hat, lol*, for giving me these great tips! I wasn't too good except for with my bow(which is how I figured out that AlLoT of the time the counters/parrys weren't working),now I'm ready to take on Thunderblight Ganon for real this time!
