Marcus character surprised me a lot in this series, at first I didn’t liked him, he looked like one of those characters that is there just to be the sexy and mysterious love interest of the main character. You know, those cliche bad boys that doesn’t really have a personality, but Marcus as the series progresses starts to show more depth, I still think the writers should explore him more, like doing flashbacks to how he used to be before his best friend died, before he became so closed off. That would be really interesting.

I was actually wondering why Max seem to consider Marcus as a loser, even Hunter said "someone like him" when they were having a confrontation. I always thought that his character would be the cool, bad boy nextdoor. But no, it's as if he's the lesser guy compared to anyone specially Hunter. Then I realized it's because they're in a school where an A lister is considered cool, which is not usual in most tv series.

But I absolutely enjoyed this show, Please hurry with season 2, The only thing I was puzzled about was 1.It was crazy how everyone walks in her house without knocking or ringing the doorbell, I get that it's a small town but damn have some consideration! (*SPOILER*) 2. I can't believe that Ginny loses her virginity so fast, and to a guy that she has only known for a week, but hey that's teenagers for you! I agree with some of these. I think she is going to zions house (her dad) because in the book he gave her, there was code. The code was the address to his place. When she packet her bag to leave, she took that book with her so it is most likely she is going to his. I think kenny (Georgia’s ex husband) is dead because she poisoned him and we saw him dead.
i think ginny was kind of pressured to date hunter by max and the rest of “MAN” but with marcus she created her own relationship with him and UGH THEY ARE SO FRIGGIN PERFECT TOGETHER

Cant, you support us? I'm serious about her" or anything around those lines. He did defend her against Max when it came to their friendship but nothing else. He could have done SO MUCH more and said so much more. So, I understand Ginny's reaction towards Marcus at the end. This show surprised me with how good it was. Georgia is such an interesting character. She claims to be doing all this crazy stuff for her family but she still ends up hurting them anyway.
Yep, she’s the most interesting character of the show and the main reason why I kept watching it, I mean, the adults dramas in this series are length more interesting to watch than the teen drama going on. Probably because I’m an adult and I can relate more to them. And I love a mystery too.
Am I the only one that doesn’t really like Ginny as a character? She’s rash, she’s inconsiderate to both Marcus and Hunter, she always victimises herself and it’s really annoying to me. She’s not good enough for either Marcus or Hunter. But ofc if I had to choose I would want her with Marcus
I think it's important for characters to have flaws. Don't forget that in real life, everyone has flaws. Consider everything she's going through & the fact she's a teenager. No one is perfect, and teenagers are not fully equipped to handle all the things she's going through.
She had some good moments here and there but when she was in class it was horrendous. She BLACKMAILED the teacher and he didn't do anything to warrant that. She did just because she thought she deserved a better grade. I agreed with Hunter on this point. Asian Americans (or any person around the world of Asian descent/ethnicity) study really hard to get were they are at without any complaining about it. Also doesn't she know any maths or statics "I'm the only PC person at my school" (paraphrased). The black Americans makeup around 10% of the population, most black people would have to leave were they are living and move to the town she was living in to make it "equal" for her. If there is a season 2 I hope there is some kind of learning phase from all this. Cos she could be a really interesting and empowering character who had flaws and learned from them. P.S. Nobody cares about her hair, LOL. She needs to have confidence and take it as a compliment.
i rlly loved the show, some aspects about sexuality or teenage relationships were very well written and it broke down a lot of taboos about women, the relationship with their bodies, families, friends... It exposed the pressure that as teenagers,women we have on ourselves.Oh sure express yourself but if you do be aware that they’re gonna call you aggressive and hormonal, as a student you have to be on top on so many subjects and sports and it’s literally driving you insane and stressed but keep going and shut up, as well as struggling to love and accept yourself while also dealing with feelings that most of the time you don’t know sh*t about...yea I relate to that and even tho it’s fiction they kept some aspects pretty real. Anyway i thought that it was well depicted...SO HURRY FOR S2 PLS
Why is noone talking about Austin? :( He is just so cute and so hurt...omg my heart broke various times while I was watching the series. He needed his mother so so much and she abandoned him...she did not really care when he stabbed the boy, she did no care when he missed school, she did not care at all. Sure, maybe she would do anything for Ginny but damn it she is just such a bad mother for Austin :( Anyway I really loved the series and I am sure that everything will be fine in season 2. ***SPOILERS*** It took me so long to realize her mom murdered 2 of her “husbands” but I’m pretty sure it’s for a good reason. Both of the men were creepy and old. Also the stepfather was basically harassing Ginny and then Georgia was standing there and saw it and just literally gave us her southern smile 😂. This show is too much and I’m here for it. The trailer did a good job of not revealing the whole show. I thought it would be all sunshine and rainbows but nooo there’s so much relationship drama and deep dark secrets. Great show!

Brianne as Georgia is definitely what captivates you throughout the entire season. Even the girl playing the younger version was fantastic. I enjoyed all of the adult characters and the actors that played them, but the teenagers were a different story. Ginny wasn't remotely likable and ALWAYS would go out of her way to be nasty to her mom. Maxine is by far the best of the younger characters. Marcus had zero substance for me, I'm in the minority that preferred Hunter. But not for Ginny because she didn't deserve him lol
This show is THE BEST! I finished it in just TWO nights! Their characters of each one of them are so complicated, but the fact that they're absolute sweethearts in their real life, says a lot about them as professionals!💓💓

well, I love Marcus I mean .. have you seen him and his personality? HOWEVER he f*cked up the last episode. He denied Ginny and he were a thing. I understand it was miscommunication but later on when Marcus got home with Max and they were having a fight about it, Marcus never declared his love for Ginny, he never once said to anyone " I love her, this isn't a fling. Cant, you support us? I'm serious about her" or anything around those lines. He did defend her against Max when it came to their friendship but nothing else. He could have done SO MUCH more and said so much more.
So, I understand Ginny's reaction towards Marcus at the end. Ginny was going through so much and there it was the guy that hurt her just a day ago (or hours ago) without a proper apology. I would have also left without giving him an explanation.
I hope Marcus learns to appreciate Ginny's love and their relationship in season 2 by making her his girlfriend or/and telling others about his feelings towards her.

This show surprised me with how good it was. Georgia is such an interesting character. She claims to be doing all this crazy stuff for her family but she still ends up hurting them anyway.

Yep, she’s the most interesting character of the show and the main reason why I kept watching it, I mean, the adults dramas in this series are length more interesting to watch than the teen drama going on. Probably because I’m an adult and I can relate more to them. And I love a mystery too.

I think it's important for characters to have flaws. Don't forget that in real life, everyone has flaws. Consider everything she's going through & the fact she's a teenager. No one is perfect, and teenagers are not fully equipped to handle all the things she's going through.

She had some good moments here and there but when she was in class it was horrendous. She BLACKMAILED the teacher and he didn't do anything to warrant that. She did just because she thought she deserved a better grade. I agreed with Hunter on this point. Asian Americans (or any person around the world of Asian descent/ethnicity) study really hard to get were they are at without any complaining about it. Also doesn't she know any maths or statics "I'm the only PC person at my school" (paraphrased). The black Americans makeup around 10% of the population, most black people would have to leave were they are living and move to the town she was living in to make it "equal" for her.
If there is a season 2 I hope there is some kind of learning phase from all this. Cos she could be a really interesting and empowering character who had flaws and learned from them.
P.S. Nobody cares about her hair, LOL. She needs to have confidence and take it as a compliment.

i rlly loved the show, some aspects about sexuality or teenage relationships were very well written and it broke down a lot of taboos about women, the relationship with their bodies, families, friends...
It exposed the pressure that as teenagers,women we have on ourselves.Oh sure express yourself but if you do be aware that they’re gonna call you aggressive and hormonal, as a student you have to be on top on so many subjects and sports and it’s literally driving you insane and stressed but keep going and shut up, as well as struggling to love and accept yourself while also dealing with feelings that most of the time you don’t know sh*t about...yea I relate to that and even tho it’s fiction they kept some aspects pretty real. Anyway i thought that it was well depicted...SO HURRY FOR S2 PLS
Why is noone talking about Austin? :( He is just so cute and so hurt...omg my heart broke various times while I was watching the series. He needed his mother so so much and she abandoned him...she did not really care when he stabbed the boy, she did no care when he missed school, she did not care at all. Sure, maybe she would do anything for Ginny but damn it she is just such a bad mother for Austin :(

This was really really good! It felt real, mysterious and it addressed everyday kinda issues as well. Very intriguing and there are more things to uncover about Georgia. I swear to god Netflix, release season 2 ASAP.

It took me so long to realize her mom murdered 2 of her “husbands” but I’m pretty sure it’s for a good reason. Both of the men were creepy and old. Also the stepfather was basically harassing Ginny and then Georgia was standing there and saw it and just literally gave us her southern smile 😂. This show is too much and I’m here for it. The trailer did a good job of not revealing the whole show. I thought it would be all sunshine and rainbows but nooo there’s so much relationship drama and deep dark secrets. Great show!

Brianne as Georgia is definitely what captivates you throughout the entire season. Even the girl playing the younger version was fantastic. I enjoyed all of the adult characters and the actors that played them, but the teenagers were a different story. Ginny wasn't remotely likable and ALWAYS would go out of her way to be nasty to her mom. Maxine is by far the best of the younger characters. Marcus had zero substance for me, I'm in the minority that preferred Hunter. But not for Ginny because she didn't deserve him lol
This show is THE BEST! I finished it in just TWO nights! Their characters of each one of them are so complicated, but the fact that they're absolute sweethearts in their real life, says a lot about them as professionals!💓💓
So when is season two coming because I desperately need to know what happens next!!!!
