They say that knowing the secret of how these illusions (tricks) are done ruins the experience for you, but I disagree. Many years ago I learned several tricks from a guy who was magician, after that I would watch a magic show in a slightly different way. Knowing how some of these are done, I really enjoy watching the magician's techniques and how he is performing them. It's still a lot of fun!
It ruins the magic, period. The thing is that you're talking abou other aspect of magic, which is the technical part of it. It's fine, I also enjoy it, but when you know how the trick is done.. the magic is gone.
@@Lucmercurius magic doesn't exist, the only thing exist is the enjoy, and i personally enjoy a lot more seeing a trick knowing the secret so i can comprehend the real ability of the magician and his real value; this way i will never underestimate a very good magician. Period.
Yeah I already knew about it, too. In fact I have some! But his moves were so good he still had me quite confused. But part of that I think is that he used a different technique. The version I learned had the string horizontal as opposed to like this. One end was attached to the body and the other to a nearby object. It hold less weight but you can move your hands over the top which confuses the f out of people. And you can control the movements with subtle shifts of your body. It was super cool but sadly I never practiced it.
Great trick. I was walking through an airport one time and saw a guy floating a coin just like that period I got way up close couldn't see any string and I was like I'll buy that period same trick works really well. It's hard to end the trick and it's hard to have the 2 pieces of wax and be natural. But it's a great trick
I remember buying this trick for $10 about 20+ years ago at a Flea Market, they showed the trick and if you wanted to buy it, then you would pay, the man showed me the trick, and my wife couldn't understand that I just paid $10 for 1 Playing Card from a Deck with Pantyhose String wrapped around it, lol, it was the secret I paid for, also would have never known it was Pantyhose string or at least that's what I've used to this day and works perfectly, you mentioned a link to buy the special string and was wondering if it's actually Pantyhose string (Which Works The Same) or some special string
ou est ce qu il est le jeune sympa GRAND MAGICIEN.....tres belle video et tres bien explique, comme toujours merci pour ce tour et cet effect hallussant
As someone who's used IT for many many years, your performance will go a lot farther with very subtle movements leading up to a subtle flotation. In your face spinning cards and coins, etc. look cool in a video but most people know straight up what's going on. Make it magical. Start slow, small movements then build on that.
Thanks man! I feel so stupid and lazy. I don't deserve it, to be revealed. I say that, for magicians always give out their method by their positioning and moves. The hand gestures are very similar, theatrical and with a little attention and imagination one should easily figure it out.
The spinning coin looks the best, with the other objects, especially the wine cork it looked rigged to a string because of the swinging motion particularly at the start of the levitation.
@@RegeneratinDegenerat no car is a vehicle designed to safely operate on a road I have never seen a helicopter or airplane going down the street during rush hour at 50mph, on wheels you dont get to change the definition of words for your own purpose
@@kenwittlief255 Ok...if you follow your own logic, a flying car would be a vehicle designed to safely operate in the air...like an airplane or helicopter.
I used the string taped on quarter trick to put into the coin slot of arcade game machines in the early 80's to rack up credits......Then one day the guy who does repairs and maintenance on the games caught me....Soon after the game manufactures fixed that problem......Once the coin went past the "clicker" that would put on credits , it would be impossible to pull it back out
Some random kid showed me and my friend a trick with pinball machines, this was 80's early 90's. One person hold the two coin return buttons and the other kick the front of the machine, wasn't a lot of force and a pile of quarters came out every time. I also found by mistake a way to get their bill to coin machine to drop piles of quarters by holding in the bill return button for a few seconds, let go and repeat a few times. It was like $5 in quarters free each time. My arcade visits became very frequent lol.
A cigarette butt in the coin slot worked wonders. In the 70s at 10 years old I would stuff a cig butt into coin slot. Anyone putting in quarters would get stuck in the slot. After a while there would be a build up of quarters. I would get a thin skewer a little bend on the end. Slide it into slot under the quarters and pull back. Oh, the criminal mind of a 10 year old with too much time on my hands. I would use the quarters from the machines to play pool. By 12 I was a hustler. 😂
Can you give a tip one how to prepare for this trick Or a way to not make it obvious! Like doing as a party trick Do you keep it around your wrist or it a trick that needs preparation?
but how can you make the object fly? because up and down is normal, the gravity(down movement) and the string(up movement) does all the work. how do you do that horizontally?
Cool to tricks kids, but as soon as I see you hands movements which never crossed above or on top of the object, I already knew it attached to a string. :)
I use a small ball of wax that I keep under my thumb nail. Then I can roll it onto my index finger and onto whatever I want to levitate, a dollar bill or a tortilla chip.
When I see street magicians on UA-cam like 'Imad Magician' (who doesn't even have hair) making things float, this video doesn't explain it. Even people in the comments section who claim to witness such magicians in person are still left baffled.

That’s why Kevin James combined this with the paper rose. Burn the rose, string is disconnected.
Knew the thread. Knew the wax. Never thought about running it over my head. Great variation.
Yeh. He is clever like that.
Big support for the channel and keep on making awesome content and guides and giveaways in the future as well. Worked for me

I was hoping it was going to be a magnet system. Magnets are basically actual magic.
Magnets and candy & coins?
Magnets aren’t magic at all.
Kinda like the way I explained how electricity works to a HVAC class

Yep. pure f'ing magic
I would have never guessed there was a string attached to the object...
