i remember playing this with my brother on the Japanese disc figuring out what went to what. Good to know it was just as bad and confusing to figure out in english as well. We eventually figured out how to do the meteor combination with every character, but couldnt figure out how to win beam battles, other than spinning the analog sticks like crazy hoping something happens. The Japanese intro to this game was basically the only reason I kept it, such a good opening. Course, this was also waaay before any tenkaichi came out as well. Thank you for posting!
The only thing that I remember about this game as a kid was that I rented it quite a bit and playing "Build- Up" cause I enjoyed becoming overpowered against the CPU as well as my first time encountering Super Saiyan 4 Goku and trying to figure how to unlock him, which was then discovered on the internet that you had to beat battle mode/arcade mode on hard. It was fun to revisit an old favorite rental game as an adult. Thank you for enjoying the video and sharing your experience with the game! :)
