Incredible but sad scene Anna nailed this amazing performance it’s sad when you lose someone your closest to they have that special friendship true best friends which it’s hard to replace I love this movie so much we all can relate at one time or another.😔
I feel for Vada when I was 9 my childhood best friend passed away and 29 years later my best friend in the world passed away so unexpectedly and this year would have been our 20th friendship anniversary. we did everything together. losing someone very close to you is like a thousand knives stabbing you all at once. then having it pierced you again 29 years later hurts all over again.
@@kathrinekathrine Aww Katherine my heart goes out to you seriously 😒 🙏🏻❤️yes losing your best friend is so painful it really is I lost my best friend while back he died because he got shot I never got to say goodbye to him so it’s definitely one of the hardest things to deal with always think about him to also my mom passed away back in 2007 first I miss her every day of my life I can say it gets better as time goes by however never completely my thoughts and prayers are with you❤️❤️❤️so we definitely can relate to Vada and this heartbreaking scene🙏🏻keep your best friend close to your heart never forget them.🤗

I lost my dad back in 2020, and my mom, my brother and I had to decide to take him off life support. he passed away from a blood vessel that burst in his brain and my friend passed away from a blood clot from his legs that went into his lungs and heart. I had to work up a lot of courage not to do what Vada did at Thomas J's funeral. when I was 9 back in 1993 my best friend of childhood passed away from an illness and my dad was the one who had to tell me she passed away.

I can relate how Veda felt about Thomas J. I buried my best friend of 27 years and couldnt speak about it for days. He was my second friend that the Lord called back home. The first one died after high school. There are no words when someone you love wholeheartedly leaves this world and you behind.

I lossed my best friend of 20 years back in 2022 . we were would mates. when I got told he had passed away I aImost fell to the floor. it's 2 been years since his passing and it still hurts to this day not talking to him. it took me a lot of courage to go up to him at his viewing to say my final goodbye. so I totally understand how you feel.
I too can totally relate to Vada here. A really good friend of mine who I used to work with, who retired from this former workplace(he was like a personal mentor for me AND I even regarded him as an adoptive uncle), passed away right around this time last year. Even though he had been sick for the past two years, going downhill fast, his passing hit me VERY HARD. I took it very hard, losing him left a tremendous hole in my life. Difficult times had followed for awhile afterward, just as they would have for Vada after losing her one and only friend. At least Judy was kind enough to stop by and offer her condolences, even if Vada wasn’t exactly in the mood for any visitors(after how badly her father had been lying to her, that “coffins weren’t for children.”) Anyway, Vada’s mourning here-something like how I was feeling this time last year, when my good friend, dependable mentor, and “adoptive Uncle Mike” passed away-LOST, big time. I visited his grave today, paying my respects in honor of the anniversary of his passing. 🪦 RIP, Mike, buddy. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you. :)

That would be great. It would take place in 2004 and vada would be 43 divorced with an 11 year old daughter of her own who is very much like she used to be. Dan akroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis should reprise their roles as Harry and Shelly. I say make these things happen while the original cast members are all still with us. Instead of waiting till most of them are gone then you have a weak sequel/reboot

We are never the same after these tragedies. We must live though, our friends would want us to live good lives in their honor.
