ohhh Dan the first Bar i was like wait wait wait that's Big. I was shocked because it's fist time listening to them but i picked it up right way i Love hip so. I figured their fans might be young and wont know what i'm talking about when i say biggie lol
@@CVTECK1their fans consist of variety range of ages from toddlers to elders 😂. When Jennie(your favorite) with the Biggie reference and Manchester jersey raps along with Lisa they always tend to have an old school vibe to them. All four girls are in their mid 20’s Jisoo being the eldest 28 this year. Rose’, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo.
Elder here -70 and been a Blink (Blackpink fan) for years. During their training years, they were exposed to and had to perform all kinds of music new and old.
They weren't paying homage to any of them. Their main songwriter/producer, Teddy basically plagiarized all those artists and more and it wasn't until Blackpink got called out for ripping off other artists lyrics that their label (YG) decided to add some of these artists in the credits. Teddy used to be innovative when he was the main songwriter/producer for 2NE1 but now all he does is rip off other artists lyrics and beats. Blackpink are copies of 2NE1 without the class and originality.
4:46 You like JENNIE 😍 Aka Coco Chanel Global Ambassador if you missed her “waving the coco” aka main rapper and Korean icon; this girl speaks English, trained 6 years to get in this group and is known for looks like a baddie who actually is a softie
There are four girls in Blackpink. Jennie is both a vocalist and rapper and she sings first. She is followed by Lisa who is a rapper and a fantastic dancer. Lisa was the first rapper in the rap part where she raps with Jennie, wearing Manchester United shirt. Rose is next, wearing black with her hands in tar. Rose has a very distinct voice and is rarely mistaken once you learn to distinguish her sound. Finally, there's Jisoo ( Gee Sue) who is a vocalist and one of the funniest members of Blackpink. Jisoo is very grounded and keeps her younger members strong and cohesive by being care free and constantly joking with her members.
theyre paying homage to old school hip hop and pop (biggie, rhianna, Nas, 50 cent, taylor swift all in there). plus theres 4 girls in the group. try Blackpink - Shut Down

Great reaction. If you liked this song, you are going to love their "Shut Down" music video. They show their amazing creativity, rap song in Waltz time, sampling a Classical music violin solo. Yeah, that exists, with almost 500 million views in 10 months.
Welcome to the BlackPink universe! They have one producer who grew up on west coast hip hop plus these ladies are SUPER talented and great people. I agree with a previous comment, "Shut Down" should be your next reaction.
As others have said, this is a tribute to their influences. Shut Down, which was released next, is a tribute to their fans with references to many of their own MVs and songs. I'd recommend Kill This Love next. Btw - no green screen used.

The whole concept of this song was actually them giving homage to legendary artists they inspired with. I just wanna add to the visuals in the chorus part when they look like destiny child. 🔥
jennie (main rapper (the girl that you talked about))she is 27/28 years old (i dont remenbers) the oldest: 28 years old and the youngest is 26 years old
You're one of the rare reactors to catch most of their tributes. One or two reactors actually accused BlackPink of copying Biggie and Rhianna. Yet you were very quick to recognize and say it's a tribute.

This was a tribute song. Their producer The God Teddy Park was very instrumental in bringing Hip-Hop to South Korea in the 90's. Probably my favorite and most overlooked reference in this song is the "Stylin on em" part. It's from a pretty obscure battle rap video that went viral maybe ten years ago. Part of Idol training is music history and this song shows just how deep they go when learning their craft. Also Jennie is a big Lauryn Hill fan so 90's Hip Hop is definitely in her playlist lol
Blackpink is the biggest girl group in the world. They are the most subscribed artist or band on UA-cam with more than 90.2 million subscribers. They are the most viewed artist or band in UA-cam history with over 31 billion views. They have 6 videos with more than a billion views and one with over 2 billion. Blackpink is the revolution ❤
New Jeans is like cute kpop but they can't be compared to Blackpink. While Blackpink come from the kpop industry, they're so beyond it. They're the biggest girl group in the world at the moment, and the girl you like who rapped both at the beginning and at also in the middle with that fire verse is Jennie, she is the main rapper of Blackpink and she usually spits like no other. Glad you liked them, they're all fire!
One more thing is the age range of BLACKPINK's fans is vastly wide like from kids, teengers, adults and even the elders and globally hella diverse as well when it comes to their background, like you'd be surprised if one day you got to attend their world tour and tryna meet with their audiences irl And yes, the fans definitely quite familiar with the OGs from old hiphop since the roots of BLACKPINK's music ain't that far off from the global influence from OG hiphop legends themselves
Truth. I am 41, I got my daughter, 13 into Blackpink, well KPop in general lol. I was blasting Blackpink one day while getting gas and an elderly Hispanic man came up to me and was like ohhhh Blackpink, I love them! Then proceeded to rattle off their names 😂
Blackpink is the biggest girl group with lots of Guiness world records.yes, it's tribute to Biggy , Rihanna , Llj some Tlc.they're all adult with 28 as oldest and 26 as youngest.Blackpink raps sing and dance.More Blackpink pls!
Pink Venom is a tribute to HipHop's influence on Blackpink's music. References to Biggie (Kick in the door), Rihanna (One by one) and instrumental/beat elements that pay homage to TLC, Missy Elliot, Boom Bap and West Coast G Funk Fusion beats a'la Dre/Snoop. It's also a celebration in sorts of 80's/90's HipHop. The producer of Blackpink, Teddy Park, spent time growing up on both the west and east coast of the US. Please react to their mv's KILL THIS LOVE and HOW YOU LIKE THAT, both videos have over a Billion views each 🔥🔥

Recently, Touring Data shared the impressive total sales numbers made by the first 26 shows of BLACKPINK‘s BORN PINK world tour. According to their data, the K-Pop girl group has now had the highest-grossing tour by any female musical group in history, surpassing even the SPICE GIRLS, TLC, and DESTINY'S CHILD! With the first 26 shows, BLACKPINK made a total of $78.4 million USD. What’s even more impressive is that this isn’t even half of the total stops of BLACKPINK’s tour. In fact, they have 19 more concert stops that haven’t even happened at the time of this artical - including stadium performances at huge venues such as MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Oracle Park in San Francisco, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles - and there are nearly 20 already-performed shows that hadn't been included in the data yet!
the reason u heard so much familiar parts was cause that was the point. (TEDDY) their main producer, said himself hes paying homage towards the artists bp is inspired by
So you have... Jennie, in the man united shirt, Korean. Born in S Korea. Main rapper, Lead vocalist. Lisa, red hair, Thai. Born and raised in Thailand. Main dancer (one of the best in the industry), Lead rapper, Sub vocalist. Rosè, light colored hair, Korean. Born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia. Has an aussie accent. Main vocalist (nicknamed Golden Voice of Korea), Lead dancer. Jisoo, in the cage. Korean. Born and raised in S Korea. Visual (nicknamed Miss Korea for her beauty), Lead vocalist. Main is primary. Lead is secondary. Though as you get into their songs you'll notice Lisa does most of the rapping since Jennie is also a Lead singer. Kpop is more of an industry than a genre. They have KPop groups that also dive into rock and some have Latin flavors in their music. They are all about mixing genres. Blackpink is a mix of hip hop, dance and edm usually. Pink venom is a play on their name Blackpink. You've got the pink and the black part which is venom. It refers to how infectious their music is and once you hear it it'll infect you like venom. All sets are built for them. No cgi or greenscreen.
Late to the party I know, but I'll settle it for ya... the musical references on "Pink Venom" are pretty extensive: The song starts with a crowd chanting "Blackpink" like the crowd chants "Bravehearts" in the Nas song "Made You Look". Then Jennie hits us with a reference to Biggie's famous line "kick in the door, wavin the 44"(Jennie says Coco). Next Lisa references Rhianna's "Pon de Replay" with "One by one and two by two" and also 50 Cent's P.I.M.P. with "you can't get a dollar outta me". Rosé and Jisoo both reference Taylor Swift with "look what you made us do" also "I bring the pain like" is a reference to Method Man's "Bring the Pain". Finally, the Jennie/Lisa rap verse is backed by a sample of Ice Cube/Eazy-E's part of "Gangsta Gangsta" by N.W.A(could also be "Dope Man" pretty much the same sample). All the hip hop references aren't a coincidence as they happened to release this track during the 49th anniversary of hip hop. Teddy(their producer) and the girls definitely weren't shy about shouting out their inspirations/favorite artists in this song.
In 2022, TIME magazine cataloged BLACKPINK as "ENTERTAINERS OF THE YEAR 2022" and it is the First Time in HISTORY that a girl group has achieved it. They were only the 3rd Girl Group EVER on the Cover of Rolling Stone(Spice Girls & Destiny's Child being the other two) Paul Tollet personally invited the group(again), this time to HEADLINE Coachella in 2023... They are the FIRST KPOP artists to Ever HEADLINE Coachella. The First time the were invited to Coachella In 2019, BLACKPINK was invited to perform at Coachella by co-founder Paul Tollet(who flew to Korea to do it), making history by becoming the first-ever K-pop girl group to perform at the music festival. It was BlackPinks FIRST US tour date ever. Jisoo was Very Sick, having back issues and it was hard for her to move... And they were reciently at the BST Hyde Park(July 2)
You're absolutely right. Blackpink claim to fame is that formula of singing rapping choreography, awesome sets with no green screen, hard hitting funk n 808's n singing in English. This is at tribute to American rap with the shout out to Biggie, Rhianna n 90's west coast LA rap. Their producer is Teddy Park a Korean American rapper from LA. He signed a rap contract in S Korea n rose up the ranks of YG entertainment n formed this female super group that is breaking records all over the world
They weren't paying homage to anyone, that's the narrative Blinks gave when Blackpink got called out for ripping off other artists without giving some of them writing credits. Teddy used to be innovative when he was the main songwriter/producer for 2NE1 (the original super group) but now all he does is rip off other artists lyrics and beats. Blackpink are copies of 2NE1 without the class and originality.
Yes, you're right about Biggy. Actually Pink Venom how BLACKPINK giving tribute for HipHop & Pop music at the time when released, that's why there's some representative from other previous artists (HipHop & Pop).
Blackpink is the musical artist with the most followers on UA-cam with more than 90 million. More than Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Adele, .... Blackpink is the revolution!
Many references to other artists plus, like 20 bars dissing MAMA2019. Teddy their producer was a rapper born in SK, but spend his teen years, the 90's, in the states.
Pink Venom Dropped at 12am (Aug 19 2022) here in Canada, 1am KST. 100 Million + views on UA-cam in approx 29.5hrs The gayageum or kayagum (in Korean 가야금) is a Traditional Korean plucked zither, with Jisoo playing it and Rosé on the Butterfly guitar. The Bird Cage is made by Chanel(logo on it, and I missed it the first time)... so Coco. The bird inside Jennie named Coco lol Lisa "Kick in the door" in How You Like That Black Diamond apples are a rare variety from the family of Hua Niu apples (also known as the Chinese Red Delicious). The name is a little misleading because they aren't exactly black, but rather a dark hue of purple. And BTW the close up of the hooded(VR wearing) figure watching Jisoo is actually LaLisa...
Oh my God. Now you have started Blackpink there's no going out now you will be obsessed with these girls. They are Kpop, but all in all they are the Biggest Girl Group right now. They currently on world tour right now.
Well it is Kpop since it's essentially made and coming from South Korea, but as what you've said in this video good music is good music at the end of the day, so buddy better to just don't stress yourself up with the genre or music category and lets enjoy the ride while vibin with the sound of BLACKPINK's music 🤞😎
Black pink has four members. Lisa and Jennie are the rappers and Rose , Jisoo are the vocalist. I recommend that you watch and do a reaction to the Black pink guide
how come everyone that watches pink wenom for the first time supports arsenal 😂😂😂 when i noticed the man u shirt i was like "she should've worn a cfc shirt" 😂😂😂

Correct. I am 65 and this is the first time I have been a 'fanboy' of a group! 100% BLINK ! :)
Please react to their mv's KILL THIS LOVE and HOW YOU LIKE THAT, both videos have over a Billion views each 🔥🔥
They weren't paying homage to any of them.
@@djvillan you're blowing in the wind
That's jennie who rap wearing man utd jersey next react blackpink shut down is🔥🔥🔥🔥
Recently, Touring Data shared the impressive total sales numbers made by the first 26 shows of BLACKPINK‘s BORN PINK world tour.
(TEDDY) their main producer, said himself hes paying homage towards the artists bp is inspired by
BLACKPINK is TITLED "THE BIGGEST AND MOST POPULAR GIRLGROUP in the wORLd" right now. yes, not only in KPOP, but IN THE WORLD.
Blackpink is queen of k.pop . They are biggest girl group and many reacords . Blackpink is one and only global girl group .
Correct!! In the beginning of the song, Jenny shout out to Biggie and Lisa shout out to Rihanna😆 The whole production is literally insane!!!🫶
They were only the 3rd Girl Group EVER on the Cover of Rolling Stone(Spice Girls & Destiny's Child being the other two)
Paul Tollet personally invited the group(again), this time to HEADLINE Coachella in 2023...
Next blackpink shutdown music video
SUPER POWERFUL QUEEN BLACKPINK
Yes, you're right about Biggy. Actually Pink Venom how BLACKPINK giving tribute for HipHop & Pop music at the time when released, that's why there's some representative from other previous artists (HipHop & Pop).
Yes this whole video is full of 90s American references of people they admire
Blackpink is the musical artist with the most followers on UA-cam with more than 90 million. More than Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Adele, .... Blackpink is the revolution!
Many references to other artists plus, like 20 bars dissing MAMA2019. Teddy their producer was a rapper born in SK, but spend his teen years, the 90's, in the states.
Jennie
Blackpink is the most subscribed artist on UA-cam ! They are bigger than New Jeans
Pink Venom Dropped at 12am (Aug 19 2022) here in Canada, 1am KST.
100 Million + views on UA-cam in approx 29.5hrs
The gayageum or kayagum (in Korean 가야금) is a Traditional Korean plucked zither, with Jisoo playing it and Rosé on the Butterfly guitar.
The Bird Cage is made by Chanel(logo on it, and I missed it the first time)... so Coco. The bird inside Jennie named Coco lol
Lisa "Kick in the door" in How You Like That
Black Diamond apples are a rare variety from the family of Hua Niu apples (also known as the Chinese Red Delicious).
