Fantastic animation. It makes me eager to build one of these. What a brilliant design it is with minimal use of different kinds of parts. I begin to wonder how it evolved, it seems so perfect
For a woodcarver such as myself, it is very gratifying to know we all "read" the grain to determine just how the wood will react in weather the same way the world over. Best wishes from Virginia, Cork
Mostra muito bem cada elemento da construção e sequencia da montagem, mas, se omite de mostrar os detalhes do pé do mastro e como ele se encaixa. Parabens pelo trabalho de manutenção do vosso patrimônio naval artesanal.
Why does every site say it had 39 pairs of oars when it has 30 here? Fitting 39 pairs of oars within 29-30 meters (I know the total length was 36) of space is impossible. I could imagine 100 men on board, although it would be very crowded, I still don't see how it would't sink. The sagas mentions multiple times through many different authors that the sheer weight of the crew can capsize a ship. Maybe it had to be well balanced
My God here they come. Square sails, glinting steel in the dawn. No, wait, it’s ok no horns. Just violins. It’s not vikings, it’s an ensemble. Let ‘s join in “ Dee Dee diddle ee dit tee tee.... etc” Welcome Norsemen with your swords, shields, wet skins and a string quartet.
Love the music. The allegro is especially inspiring.

It looks very complicated but there is a logic to it. A pattern to be followed. Amazing for a time so long ago.
Thanks a lot for making and sharing this!
You make it look so easy :)
I would chose another music by the way. It`s about a Vikingship here, not about Adagios...
a true work of art and engineering genius.
Chissà se e’ voluto che l’accompagnamento musicale venga da Venezia? Un altro modo di costruire navi, ma da grandi costruttori di navi.
In real, how many times to built that ship?
Why is there music with almost everything on the internet? Well, background music anyway. It’s not even period appropriate really. Ach,stop it.
Many people don't like silence. Sadly.
Very genius gripping technology ❤❤❤

Well balanced and with a broad hull. They also used their weapons, food, gear, loot, etc as ballast under the decking.
Would they have used all these oars at the same time ?
Very nice how the video is Made
I just see roof upside down
wtf you playing classic music in the video?
