What a stellar performance ,
This is how you should always demo new keyboards and equipment. There needs to be a musican playing that has a musician's soul.
I agree!
This performance is amazing, the synth also a nice one. This time maybe using as a controller but it does not take anything away from the knowledge and possibilities of the instrument.
Why is the main volume down? Playing an Electric Piano 🎹 sample off the computer? 💻
Not a Kurzweil sound from the K2088?!? 😮
Kash Iyengar does the same thing with his vids: he uses Keyscape and not the pianos on the K2700. It’s like a vote of no confidence in their own products.
@@rabadash_smabadash Kash seems to post videos with the purpose of showing short musical phrases, not necessarily with the purpose of shining light on the k2700. Also, its common knowledge that most piano vsts sound better than on-board keyboard sounds.
However, assuming its actually true that VSTs are being used in the video (which seems very likely), my problem stems from the fact that this video is meant to promote the sounds of the k2088. Using VSTs in this video, would be very misleading towards the viewers.
Now thats very questionable 😮💻🎹. The Kurzweil booth should have had a 2-tier setup with both the K2061 and the K2088. Several different patches and tones of this new keyboard or even different and individual style performances should have been showcased during the 9-minute plus performance and not limited only to a single electric piano patch. Don't get me wrong, he plays fierce and amazing 🎹🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Is that it's been quite a while Kurzweil hasn't brought something new to the table until now, and with the introduction of their new K2061 & K2088 at NAMM, it was their chance to show the full potential of the instruments to the public without the assistance of that laptop. Finally the artwork of their booth backdrop should have portrayed only the K2061 and K2088 just like Nord's and Studiologic's booth backdrops and not the name of the musical group. Marketing is extremely critical in a event like NAMM and a musical equipment manufacturer can't take the risk to miss the boat upon the introduction of new equipment. My humble opinion.
The playing is awesome! Loved it all!! Just wish that it was being pushed as a K2088 that they also used an internal sound.
I am in the market for a workstation… still love the workflow of an onboard sequencer and the limitations that keep you on task. I use a Yamaha Motif ES and XF and it’s time for an upgrade…
Re-Issued Korg Kronos 3
Kurzweil K2061
Or switching to VST on a DAW to arrange.
I want to spend money 💰 on something… take my money 💸 🎹
@@johnathanshuey7776personally, I would give a much closer look to the new and updated Korg Kronos. That workstation is absolutely powerful and used by the top keyboardists in the music industry 🎹👑🔥
Kurzweil should realise that we are living in 2025, the screen is too small for this keyboard, no decent arpeggios or no good pads, but organs pianos are quite good. Great sounding keyboard but is made of 1980's tech. Ex PC4 User.
There are tons of pads and arps.
A lot happened since the PC4, especially around the Forte era - speaking as someone who played the PC4 - especially in the keymaps. I agree that the user interface could be improved significantly. It currently is very technical and requires deep knowledge about signal processing. The screen size is sufficient for the crrent UI. If they could make the interface more intuitive and easier to play with it could be a game changer - e.g. taking inspiration from state of the art VST plugins. Currently it just feels like work to create new sounds, not like fun. However the VAST engine, which is the really old underlying technology, is still the most powerful sound engine in any keyboard. It now literally contains all known sound synthesis methods since FM modelling was added. If you know how any keys-sound in any song was created you can recreate it using VAST.
The one thing that is not (yet?) available are physical simulations of instruments in the style of Pianoteq.
I don't think there are limitations on what kind of arpeggios you can create - not sure, never use them.
@@ValentinZopp Now I am a proud owner of Kronos2, I'm super happy with everything on Kronos 2. I know there are pads but mostly sounded from the analog era nothing modern except a few, arpeggios are there but the arpeggios on Kronos2 is next level, nothing is gonna beat them for sure especially when you're playing with AI driven Karma. Some pattern I found in it are super basic, like kindergarten level. VAST is great but working on this super tiny screen is a pain in the but t.
No , v.a.s.t is early 90's tech NOt 80's
It's "Spain" 😂😂😂
Classic response from someone who thinks they know the genre, but doesn’t. 😂😂😂
@@listener84Are your ears better than mine?So snob !!!
@@listener84👍🏾👍🏾
It is one of our original pieces. “Spain” influenced of sorts.
@@StaceyLamontSydnorMr Stacey😁 what make of cymbal and drum pads are those.? With thanks 🙏 in advance from the 🇬🇧 👍
