First one died because of the sudden shock of pain that she/he experienced when waking up. It’s deadly horrifying.
why did she woke up?
@@ellebon2445 as far as I remember, her blood was not circulating well, so the anesthesia did not work properly, and that is what caused her to die as well
@@XxMixieGirlxX thank you. that's terrifying

ngl , it'll give me goosebumps 💀
It's even more painful because she was a kid
just, seeing a person OPEN their eyes in the middle of a small tiny surgery is terrifying. I mean, just imagine being in a deep sleep....and then suddenly waking up to a level of pain probably worse than giving birth without any anesthesia.
What would you do?
usually, if one anaesthetic chemical fails, the others are still there. you wouldn't feel pain. you would feel the tools touching your insides, just pressure. you wouldn't be able to move, probably. maybe you would, maybe not. only thing you could probably do is scream.

I remember one time when I was 12 waking up during surgery to get my appendix removed. My eyes stayed closed and I didnt feel ANY pain but I heard the heart rate monitor and I heard the surgeon and nurses talking during the surgery. I dont know how long I was up for but I did end up eventually falling back asleep for the rest of the surgery. Most terrifying moment of my life
why is the time of death always something 21
IKR
@Enrico oh really,
Because they film at that time....
@@3hqt953 yeah it's not real
Nice question you know
Ive woken up during surgery. It honestly just feels like a hallucination. You are all groggy and high. Doesnt hurt or freak you out just really calm.
you were lucky. for some people with genetic tolerance to anesthesia, it's possible to wake up, be unable to move, and feel everything. PTSD galore...
The girl who woke up from her surgery and eventually died was a hopeless case from the beginning. In the episode, she gets into a pretty fatal car accident and it's discovered after her death that one of her arteries was shredded which was why the anesthesia wasn't properly circulating. It hit Rhodes pretty hard because he has a penchant for wanting to save as many lives as possible. Dr. Downey, his mentor, eventually teaches him that "you cannot play God" in the later episodes. But it shows that Rhodes is really a compassionate doctor and sometimes he does get compassion fatigue
Still a pretty terrible way to spend your last moments 😕
seeing a heart beating outside of the body is scary 😱😱

Did anyone else flinch when the lady is told to put on a mask and literally holds it over her mouth?
Also why did she think it was a great idea to remove said mask to gasp and exhale into the otherwise sterile OR? she’s literally killing him.
I went looking for this comment - I completely agree, no reason to take the mask off
Yeah man I flinched when she exhaled
I mean, I'm not surprised after seeing people wear their masks wrong for covid. There are a lot of stupid people in the world.
bigger question is why did they need to take her into the theatre, constent could have been given from the waiting room
Even though I think there is nothing wrong with me I am actually scared and seeing the heart beating in the outside is scary, I'm freaking scared
I don't actually watch Chicago MED (or any f the other Chicago's) I just watch these clips on here but as soon as the nurse said that they had a hard time getting her under, I knew the patient was going to wake up.

Idk why dr. Rhodes is like so calm "im pumping his heart with my hands" lol
That has to be terrifying for both a patient and surgeon to experience.
On one side, imagine having to wake up and suddenly see you’re surrounded by doctors and lights while feeling your chest being cut open, you reach out to someone in a panic and suddenly your heart just gives out on you.
And on the other side, imagine you’re just trying to do your job and save your patient when they suddenly wake up when they should still be unconscious and reach out and grab you, and then you just see the lights in their eyes fade away as you hear the heart monitor give out a flatline.
“I’ll get the lung out of the way.”

How old r u cause I remember when I was around 10 I used to love watching ppl have operations but then as I got older it started to get sickening. I used to wanna be a doctor but I can’t see that. Maybe it was just me, and I hope so, but u might change ur mind
i kinda wanna be a doctor too, i love saving lives...
Zairah Naz I didn’t ask
Zairah Naz heh, I want to be a veterinarian
Tara Coddington im 14😀
You can see the pain in her eyes in the second one.
Everytime I watch a medical series, I realise why doctors get PTSD... I wouldn't last a day as a doctor or nurse in a hospital, wayyy too emotional for this line of work.
I’ve had 9 surgeries in my 14 year and the last 4 that I’ve had I have been terrified of waking up. The reason I wasn’t for the other 5 is because I was still too young to know that was a possibility but the last 4 all happened between November 2017 and August 2019.
This actually happened to me I woke up in the middle of my kidney transplant surgery but for some reason I didn't feel anything? I just looked at the doctor and he looked so shocked I could see him panicking before I fell back into unconsciousness, I don't know if that's normal or not 😅

Idgie Carson actually i watched it somewhere.
the girl was awake during the whole procedure but paralyzed so she can't aware the doctors.
she died due to the unbearable pain.
Depends what surgery. If you’re doing a neurosurgery, they keep you awake to make sure that everything’s going well. I saw surgeries where the patients were playing an instrument or playing chess with a nurse

I don't think anyone 'plans' on having surgery. But if you need it some day, please seriously consider it?! Your chances of waking up during surgery are so low... I've been under a general anaesthetic over 100 times and not once have I woken up. The WORST scenario that occurred once is that my blood pressure started to drop a bit (I was quite underweight so not surprising) and they just hooked up a bag of saline fluids and I was all good 👍 Woke up fine, just REALLY needed to pee lol 😜
Try and remember that this is just a TV show... if there wasn't enough drama it would be boring! So naturally they make things as scary as possible to keep people 'on the edge of their seats'.
I promise that regular surgery is NOT like what was shown here... if you DO happen to have a real risk of dying whilst having an operation, you will probably be told beforehand (so you can make the choice of having it or not)
11 minutes of surgery? HELL YEAAA
The girl waking up in her surgery is one of my biggest fears.
i’ve had 2 c sections… my second one was insane. the way the room was positioned, I could see them cutting into my stomach and lifting organs out of the way because of the steel mirror thing on the ceiling 😂 i remember seeing them take my son out of the sac and going omg he’s so cute then gagging cuz i could see my liver sitting on my stomach 😂😂😂😅😅😅

if the anesthetic were to wear off it would most likely happen a few minutes after the intial cut. and lucky you because you dont have nerves in many of your organs so the worst part would be the stitches so that's good I suppose.
It's always been a fear of mine waking up in the middle of a surgery. That's why I never what to have one! Like imagine waking up to blood everywhere in EXTREM pain and knowing your cut open!!!
why does the time of death always end up in 21 minutes?
The first one that died I think that one scarred emotionally Rhodes
Imagine to wake up seeing a bunch of surgeons around you digging through ur body tryna fix yah, also wats it called if someone wouldnt squeak, look away or scream about something bloody cuz dat happens to mah
