If you already feel overwhelmed by this process and you’d rather be guided through it instead of having to research this and figure it all out on your own, make sure to apply to our Marriage Immigration Method where we've guided many couples like you through their immigration journey! To start, book a free call with us here: calendly.com/marriagegreencard/discovery-call-yt
Thank you for specifying that even things like conversation screenshots (not just obvious things/official documents like the marriage certificate) need to be translated, that was something I was unsure of!
Thank you so much for your comment! The basic idea is that you're making it as easy as possible for the reviewing officer to make a favorable decision on your case. Many officers speak Spanish, for instance, but applicants, of course, cannot rely on that. That's why it's important to translate EVERYTHING that isn't in English. Good luck with your case and let us know if you have any questions as you put your application together!
love your videos and about to submit I 130 on line...have the evidence letters (6) but would like to ask a question...Bank of America informed me that we can open an account in both of our names and she would not need a SSN to open...would this work as proof of evidence, reason is that my main bank USAA will not let me add her until she gets a SSN....but yet the state of Nevada will issue her a Nevada Identification card with her new name and our address...just trying to ensure that we have enough evidence...in regard to the letters if is from friends who actually met her when traveled to Japan/Thailand/Philippines and when we climb Mount Everest, i think these letters should be powerful (what is more evidence than her climbing Everest with me:)
Thank you for your kind words! Exciting that you're getting ready to submit the I-130. Yes, opening a joint account with Bank of America can definitely help as proof of your relationship, but also depends on when you want to apply. If you want to do it soon, it might make sense to wait and supplement your application through an online account later on. And those letters sound incredible-climbing Mount Everest together definitely shows a genuine connection! You're doing a great job building your case. Wishing you a smooth and successful immigration journey! 😊
Hi there! We only work with couples where both spouses are present in the US and that's why our videos only serve that category of people. Good luck with your process!
Hi there! That's a great question and should not be a problem at all. What exactly is your concern? I'm just trying to understand your state of mind and why so you think something like this might be an issue. Look forward to hearing back from you and let me know if you have any other questions about this process!
Hi there! Very typical situation. Have you considered adding a partner on utility bills? Plus showing mail addressed to both of you to that address and having matching IDs. There are a few things that can be done to demonstrate that you both reside there, just depends on the specifics of your situation. Does that help?
Hi there! In these cases we always encourage having a consultation with an immigration attorney who can analyze what happened there. If I were you I would go ahead and get all the paperwork you can possibly get from that incident and then reach out to your local immigration lawyer to make sure you're good to proceed. Good luck with your case!
How can we prove that both of us are using a bank account? We both have the same debit card numbers. Also, sending conversation screen shots… we have billion of those.
Are you both authorized users for that bank account? If so, there might be documentation within your bank. You say you have the same debit card numbers, but do you have your own debit cards with your names on it?
Hi there! Great question! We are actually coming out with a detailed video on letters of support next week and I will make sure to link it here, but for now, yes! You can use an online notary service. The only downside to that is that it isn't free, you will have to pay for it, but it's same same. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how your case is going!
Hi … I’ve been in texting my spouse on Snapchat and after 24 hrs the texts gets deleted automatically as both of us don’t save em please tell me how else can I prove our text msges?
Hi there, Adrian! Do you guys still text on Snapchat even today? If you don't have any text messages to show, don't worry. Just focus on other evidence to have a well rounded application. You got this!
Hi there! This video is specifically for those going through the Adjustment of Status, whereas both spouses are inside the US. You can have a joint bank account and a shared lease agreement even if you're not a resident of the US.
In fact, there are a couple of banks which accept non residents for joint accounts. It’s definitely a big part of the puzzle especially if you haven’t lived in the US before, but I’d suggest that you look at some credit unions first and call all the banks to ask. Chase bank for instance doesn’t do it.
@@marriagegreencard just a little clarification. Even someone who enters the US as a tourist can apply for adjustment of status, which means that not all applicants for a Green card have necessarily lived there before. The real question is, would the uscis accept evidence of joint bank accounts and notarised affidavits from banks and friends outside of the US?
@@MariaSotiropoulou88 Entering on a tourist visa and applying for an adjustment of status means that you are living in the US currently. I don't see any reasons why the USCIS wouldn't accept evidence of joint bank accounts from outside the US. The affidavits are a different story. We cover that specific question in this video ua-cam.com/video/utURF6PjZ7A/v-deo.html
@@MariaSotiropoulou88 In our experience Chase bank does it, so does Bank of America, Wells Fargo, TD Bank, etc. You need to speak to the right clerk to get it done. Credit unions on the other hand almost never do it.
I have a serious question Let’s say you’re in the USA with none immigration visa like J-1 or F-1.. and you wanna get married with an American and after marriage your visa has been expired are you gonna be staying like that illegally ??? Because I heard that it takes time to apply for the green card especially all the evidences that you mentioned all of them needs time. Could you please answer my question because I’m in this situation and i really really need that. Thank you!
Hi there! We work with these types of cases ALL THE TIME and visa overstay does not present an issue. Just to clarify, have you already overstayed your visa or are you about to fall out of status?
Hi there and thank you for your question. I 100% would! Good luck with your case. We wish you a super speedy approval. Happy Holidays to you and your family ☺
@@sanismi0322 Thank you so much for this wonderful comment. We appreciate you too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We wish you a super smooth & fast green card approval ☺
It just really depends on your particular situation. Maybe you should translate at least some, but if you have evidence outside of it, it might be unnecessary. Totally your call!

Can friends or family get the letters notarized online? Or does it have to be wet inked?
