I'll give you another exemple: at first, they were probably Christians with, among other things, a murdered priest as close surrounding -one of John's best friend and one of the few who took care of the brothers when they were children. And then they end up being the closest friends of the king of hell and his witch mother, helping them out because evil isn't really evil (!), but no one sees the irony in that...
oh my god, pre-hell dean is so happy, like obviously he wasn’t *happy* happy, because like, john was abusive, but like, there are some really pure and sweet moments that you really don’t see after he went to hell, i’m crying
Bro wydm he had such a good ending he got married to Cas and they adopted Miracle and he started his own mechanic shop he's fine and happy and everything is okay :)))))

I can't believe that this season he was dealing with his Dad's death, knowing that he died in order to save Dean, burdened with the knowledge that his little brother will turn in to a demonic monster unless he can save him, and if he can't save him, he will have to kill him, thinking his life has no meaning and his only purpose is to protect Sam....and this was the lightest season. :)
