The game lore says the missing girl is the spirit of gray, meaning Tree and Black teamed up with Wenda, black and Tree cannot see in horror mode and Wenda does not see as good due to black emmiting ambience. The ambience has a smoke form which is how sky fell in the pile of pipes.
