  • Worried about getting wet boots? Dryshod and muck boots might just be worth the money. If you want to preserve your steel-toed leather boots for twice as long, a well-made pair of rubber boots are an essential piece of equipment to have! Watch the video as we detail features to look for when shopping for a pair of wet weather boots.
So why are Dryshod and muck boots so great?
They'll keep your feet dry and warm in the cold, wet, and snowy weather. When winter comes around, your leather boots may keep you warm, but they won't always keep you dry. Over time, wet conditions will cause your leather boots to wear quickly and leave your feet out in the cold.
Rubber boots, either Dryshod or muck, are the answer. They withstand the elements. They can cut through mud with ease. And they'll keep your steel-toed leather boots in pristine condition.
While the boots we discuss can be used in multiple applications, we tailor the details for the oil and gas and electrical industries. Proper wearing of Dryshod and muck boots and being outfitted with the proper fire retardant safety gear will help you obtain optimum performance on your jobsite.

Hey Leo. They do have a pretty aggressive outsole but if you want something a little stronger go with DryShod. They did a lot to beef up their outsoles. It makes the boot a little heavier but the outsole can handle a little more of a beating.
As far as your foot size goes Muck created a solution. The have insoles that they sell for like $5.00 that you stack on the insoles that are already in the boot. It raises the foot bed up just enough to make it a half size. So if you need a size 7-1/2 boot get a size 8 boot and stack the insole. It will snug things up really well. Here is a link to those insoles. frclothingandsupply.com/muck-eva-insole/

How do you find dry shod boots on ice? If you’re walking on pure ice while ice fishing?

Hey Mark. Sorry I missed you comment. That would be tough because they have a rubber bottom. I would recommend some ice cleats to go with the boots. Ergodyne makes some and so does Yaktrax.

I prefer to wear my pants over top of my rubber boots. Can you do a review on the mucks and dryshod boots with your pants over top? I think most guys wear pants over their boots, not tucked in.

Hey there Mountainview Ranch! Thank you for the comment. Our store is located in Colorado where we get rain, snow and all kinds of good stuff. After working in Oil and Gas for 4 and half years I learned that tucking my jeans into my Muck Boots helped keep my feet and jeans dry all day long. Now I agree I always wore my jeans over the top of my leather boots, some guys didn't even do that in Colorado, but when I was standing in 8" of water on a muddy location I found tucking them in worked a lot better at keeping me dry and comfortable. Where are you at? What kind of conditions do you work in? Thank you again for the comment.

@@frclothingsupply3561 I'm in British Columbia Canada. We get lots of snow and mud up here too! I find wearing pants over top of my rubber boots much better especially with an outer layer like coveralls over the boots. When I'm out in the forest or fields I also just wear my jeans over top of my rubber boots to prevent any dirt or branches from getting down into my boots. Would be good to see you trying your jeans over the boots in your next video.

@@mountainviewcattle Thank you for the feedback. British Columbia...wow ya I bet you get a lot of snow and mud. I like your thoughts of having them over the top when you are in thick brush and cover so debris stays out. Most of our customers are wearing them on location where it is just mud and dirt. I will give them a shot over the top next time we throw a video up about them. Thank you again for all your input!

My pants are inside because I'm in water/muck if I'm wearing rubber boots (they're not my primary boot), and mine are the 17" tall dryshod--I ain't fooling with pulling pants over that stovepipe.

Yeah I've seen a lot of guys wear them over there boots but I've also seen a lot tuck them in, personally I took mine in because I don't like to get my pants completely full of mud. I like to go home semi clean
