My nephew got into Yale, John Hopkins, Cornell, and U of Michigan. His dream school was Yale so hopefully he loves it.
congratulationsss! that's amazing
jhu is one of my options for next year, so thank you!! 💙💙
Thank you for this video! I finished my RD application today
I have a JHU degree (M.S. Information & Telecommunications Systems), but, since my degree came from the business school, I did not have the Homewood Campus experience. My impression of Johns Hopkins generally is that it is a “virtual Ivy League” school but without the Ivy “glamour.” Mainly STEM nerds, laboring under a burdensome academic load, trying to get into med school.
can you please do more day in my life at hopkins? and can you rate your classes from last semester
yeah ofc! a day in my life will be my next video
I’m an incoming first-year so thank you!!
ofcc, congrats on your admission!
Wait girly because I’m currently trying to think if I want to double major in Neuroscience and Psychology or major in cognitive science😩 also will be attending JHU in the fall so hopefully I’ll see you on campus 🙃
i would recommend cognitive science (for obvious reasons lol). It allows you to learn about neuroscience & psych (which I’m doing rn and i lovee it) and cognitive science is lowkey a really easy major. it doesn't have a lot of requirements, so a lot of people who take cogsci are double majors
also congratsss! if you see me please say hi, i love meeting new people😂
i’m a junior in high school rn and i really want to go to jhu for biomedical engineering so thanks for this video lol
I’m also a junior in hs and I wanna go to jhu for microbiology
ofcc, good luck!
Hi! I recently got into Johns Hopkins and I am really worried about the grade deflation as I am planning to apply to medical school. I want to major in Public Health, which I heard was less challenging, do you know if that is true? Also would the open curriculum make maintaining a higher GPA easier?
hi! i aspire to double major in economics and microbiology in jhu. do u recommend?
may i know while studying with the department of applied mathematics at johns hopkins what did you study? because I also want to enter that major
ofc! during my first semester I took calculus II, honors discrete math, and freshman experience in applied math & statistics (which was really easy, we didn't really do any work). I'm going to post a review of my courses either this week or next week with details about my experience in each class
@@cheixii thank you, your advice is very helpful, it makes me very sure to enter this major 😁
What is the party scene? How do you get involved with Frat or other parties?
the party scene is pretty dead but you can usually hear about parties and other events through word of mouth. You can also follow jhu's (and nearby schools') fraternities and sororities on ig to see what their upcoming events are. We also have Power Plant Live, which a lot of people go to on Thursday nights (I think students can get in free and/or drinks are discounted)
The parties look banging. I drove through at night and the students were dressed as animals and characters. It looks fun. Just dont work at Hopkins hospital as some low paid abused nurse. They take advantage of nurses and lie to them and steal their wages. They orient you with some new nurses who barely know any information and leadership has arrogant poor attitudes. Better to travel unless youre in research.😊
just got into JHU for applied math and now I'm scared af...😭💀 idk fs if I'm gonna go yet but any tips if I do?
lol don't be scared! My main issue was that I underestimated the difficulty of the math classes I was taking, but I should've listened to my advisor and taken the base level classes. For this specific major I would recommend starting off with the basic classes and then working your way up to more advanced classes after your first semester
Hello! I j got admitted for the class of 2026. Is it possible for me to contact you about the jhu experience so I can better make my college decision 😅
ofcc, you can dm me on instagram if you want (@cheixii) or you can email me (iamcheixii@gmail.com). also congrats on your admittance 😊
Can you take admission in advance like it's 2022 you got in admitted in classes of 2026
