      If some tourists wouldn't be welcome in Wuhan, dont get surprised. Chinese have to be defensive against outside influences. The USA currently spend about US$ 200 million plus on anti China propganda and the media on both side backing it. Biden administration is the MOST anti China administration in USA history. There are at least 6 UA-cam channels I know that are producing mainly anti-China propganda. Anyway, thumbs up for your videos.

      @@bigblue1287 if I was paid by the Chinese government, I wouldn't be allowed to make videos with such titles!
      These videos in Wuhan are exactly the same videos I made in other places worldwide. What makes you outraged is "Wuhan" and China" in the title, because if it was "Mexico", you wouldn't have a problem with it.
      Please, wake up, you're the one being brainwashed that everything that comes from China is bad. But your iPhone was made here and probably the majority of the electronics and other accessories of your house.

    Six hours traveling to get to Wuhan, hotel accommodations in disarray, and VPN issues are not an enjoyable way to start. You handled that all quite well, where speaking for myself, there would have been a lot of frustration and swearing 🤬 to go along! Considering your arrival issues here, you were still determined to show us a bit of Wuhan, and for that I say Thank You! Definitely looking forward to your next presentation from this small city of 10 million people! 😁🤞🇨🇳

    Wow! Another great video Michele. I could tell from the start that you were tired and worn out from the trip. Looking forward to getting to the hotel as quick and easily that you could. Unfortunately, that first hotel wouldn't let you stay. 😞 The 2nd hotel looked very nice and the room was great! 🙂The old folks dancing on the street was cool. I liked the selection of street food available! Wow, a live animal market! By the way, cool Mickey Mouse phone case! The haircut and mind reader guy at the end were pretty good!

      I have a couple of suggestions on how China could make things easier for tourists, but most locals dismiss me claiming they already have enough people. So it is what it is, but yes, Wuhan totally surprised me in a very positive way and I like it more than major cities like Chongqing

    You know why some hotels dont take foreigner's in China? The answer is often small hotels doesn't have the permission to have foreigner's in their hotels, its not that they don't like foreigner's or anything like that.. I also heard its a bit complicated to get the permission and they also need another standard for foreigner's , which I understand. China is an enormous big country and they have enough people of their own. Anyway have a really good time in Wuhan and keep up with the great funny videos :D

    • @MichelePonte
      @MichelePonte 9 місяців тому +4

      I’ve heard all the explanations and all the excuses too :) but here is my theory: especially in second tier cities there is the prejudice that every foreigner is rich and that every foreigner wants to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels, so 2-3 start hotel m have lots of good quality empty rooms that I can’t rent because they don’t even try to get the license.
      Anyway, thank you for watching my videos!

      If the hotel's business scope includes foreigners, you need to have a passport entry system, which will definitely incur maintenance costs. Then, you must equip employees who can speak English, which will increase the hotel's operating costs. And then you can't receive many foreigners in a year. If you were a hotel owner, would you choose to add costs that are not good for your own income?

      Stop being a prick and assuming that everyone has money: most tourists worldwide save cash the entire year to go on a 2 weeks vacation. I know tourists that in China after such situations they simply bought a tent and slept in parks because mst normal prices hotels wouldn't accept foreigners.
