An absolute rare example of a band that doesn't change their style or keep up with the times, and continue to just simply rock out!

The story is, Malcom Young's funeral reignited the band to get back together in 2018, one year after they met at his funeral. Phil Rudd’s house arrest had ended, Brian Johnson’s hearing had improved, and Cliff Williams wanted to come out of retirement to pay tribute to the late Malcolm Young. All of the songs on “Power Up” had been co-written by Angus and Malcolm Young before Malcolm's death in 2017 - so the material is the last from Malcolm. The album was secretly recorded in Vancouver in 2018 and 2019. Essentially, this album honors his memory just like ‘Back In Black’ was for Bon Scott. It may be it for them but they go out with a bang! This one video is for the fans.

I FEEL YOU CRUMBLE IN MY ARMS DOWN TO YOUR HEART OF STOOOONE!!!!
He looks good as well
I can't describe the joy I feel when I see Brian giving all of himself at the age of 70, rocking this song as hard as he can, in order to giving us some more old good rock n roll, with his uniqe cool, funny, enjoyable style.
Thank you Brian for just being yourself and for being saving this band again and again since 1980. You nailed it another time.
He sounds great
AMEN!!!!......\,,,/ (- -) \,,,/
Brian is 73! Amazing. He sounds great.

They sound better every year, not many bands has that talent.
They got God given talent
“Angus, how many times have you been doing the duckwalk?”
Angus Young: “Yes”.
all the times
That reminds me of one of my favorite movie throwaway lines of all time:
Robin Hood: "And you're a robber, too. How long have you been a robber?"
Strutter: "Four foot one."
Robin Hood: "Good lord! Jolly good! Four foot one? Well that-that-that is-is a long time, isn't it?"
Thank God, AC/DC is still rocking in the 2020s. Because of them I got into playing the guitar. For those about to rock, we salute you!!!
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
🇧🇩🤟
Wft is this? Was Brian in a cryogenic bed? Shit, he almost sounds like in Back in Black. Best thing of my day.
I know, my reaction is also like wtf is this? I can hardly believe my eyes or ears. Am I tripping? Anyway I'm really really really happy either way.
Is like wft now how you say wtf because I’m 🤷♂️
Should've been named Back in Red. Haha
Studio magic ;)
@@Frank-ww4fo Not really. His hearing has been restored to a time probably before his ear drums had physically popped.
Like a good wine, getting better with time
Can’t even tell if it’s from 2020 or the 1980s. That’s how good they are
Because the good times are coming back 🤘🏻🔥
Its quite remarkable if you compare the Back in Black video from '81 to this. Brian Johnson sounds amazing for 40 years later. Wish my Dad was still alive to hear this. He introduced me to AC/DC in '79.
@@ericwyatt3646 May he ride on!

My wife said, "sounds like all their other stuff." I said, "exactly."
thats the good thing about them. always know you're getting the good stuff 👌 dont have to worry about a song being bad
As good as the one before
If it ain't broke......
Brian Johnson has a horrible voice if you ask me! Bon Scott was the king of AC/DC when he was alive!! His voice was over the top amazing!! Brian always seems to be straining to hit the high notes!! I personally think he sucks!
@@Cinderrella It would have been interesting to see what ACDC would have been had Scott lived beyond 1980. But I think Johnson has done a good job. My wife hates his voice too (lol.) At least he's better than Axl Rose!
CHILDREN, FORGET EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN IN LIFE ABOUT ANY MUSICAL RHYTHM AND ENJOY THE LARGEST ROCK BAND IN HISTORY: We are talking about Brian J. at the age of 73 .... Angus at 65 ... Damn it! Cliff Williams at 70 and Phil Rudd at 66.
#RIPMALCOLM - WE SALUTE YOU!
Amen
One of the greatest, yes. Largest, no.
Still got it. Love to see them still getting it at their age
same song they wrote 100 times. f this band.

They are back in black🔥
To think Brian Johnson and the rest of the crew are 70+ years old and still rocking out is amazing 🤘🏻
I thought cliff Burton is 65
@@sxtright_anirudh7299 Cliff Burton is dead, this is Cliff Williams
Angus, Phil, and Stevie are in their mid 60's. Brian and Cliff are the ones in their early 70s.
Angus Young is 65. Brian Johnson is 74.
40 years and they still make better music than the jokes of today.
You mean 50 years 🤘🔥
40 years from Brian Johnson era

I guess 2020 isn't that bad after all
@@leeminchung9 no no it is, at least we have some good music to help get us through it!
So what?
Nuclear war: cockroaches and keith Richards
The most unique voice in rock ‘n’ roll history
Also bon😢
Jesus can Brian sing, it’s like his voice got better since the last album
Plus he hasn't used his voice like this in 6 years!
I'm not Jesus, but I'll answer the question. Yes. This song rocks.
It really is incredible, comparing his sound now to Razor's Edge, Ballbreaker or Stiff Upper Lip. Got the edge and snarl back.
@Jim Queflander Let's be grateful that technology has allowed Brian, and many others, to hear again and allowed others to hear for the first time in their lives.
MUCH better than when they tried Axel just couldn't even listen but loved him in GNR
This song sounds like it could be from a classic AC/DC album. Amazing
Agreed. Best in years I reckon.
really does
It was used in "SAS rogue heroes" as the soundtrack to Stirling blagging his way into GHQ to pitch his idea (the SAS) to the top brass. I thought, that sounds like classic AC/DC but I can't place it.
That’s what makes it unique in my playlist, every single song in my playlist is 70s and 80s and then there’s this and code red which stick out because they were made in 2020 instead of 70s/80s and I simply have those two because they sound just like the older songs
I just seen another comment saying they used a lot of old riffs and stuff as a tribute
A lot of things have changed in 2020. Fortunately ACDC isnt one of them🎸♩🤘
Love this song. We suggest you check out some new Christian rock ua-cam.com/video/DKBcA-iXeIs/v-deo.html
Except one of the lead guitarist died._.
Yeah 🤟👊💪
Agree! This is still grass roots AC/DC ... that blues-based garage band sound is ringing true.
Malcolm Young (rhythm guitarist) died. I would say that was a pretty big change, wouldn't you?
They can still kick ass
Angus is 65 and his school uniform still fits. Must be all that clean living.
Or all those cigarettes....
Or tea
@@denverdude80 I'm Chiefs fan too
Cigs, earl grey, cocaine, acid on occasion, and the riff in the heart
Actually he's got a walk-in closet full of them.
Seeing Brian where he belongs, having a good time... That puts a smile in my face
Indeed, it's great to see him back. He looks well and sounds great!
You can definitely tell that whatever treatment or device or whatever it is he used for his hearing helped. I haven't heard him sound that clear in YEARS. He can really hear himself again and it shows.
Hate to be a party pooper but I wouldn't say it's one of the best videos by a long shot
@@fireball8767
Well one answer to that... *Covid-19*
And the video ain't the point. But the fact that Brian is singing again like he knows best.
@@AFatWhiteShark still could of made the video better and yes it is good to see Brian back even thow his voice has been shot since 1995 acdc wouldn't be the same without him
Loved AC/DC from age 11 w/ buying Highway to Hell, Then Bon died when I was 12 & we cried & cried. Still miss the man 40yrs after his passing. I LOVED BON'S vocals,! I met Angus in 88' when I was 20. Spent about an hour me and about 12-14 people there. Sinks in Hilton hotel were packed with sodas, and the other imported beers. In comes Domino's Pizza guy & all the kid could say was "ANGUS FUCKING YOUNG". Since he was on the job Angus gave an autograph. Angus is a very polite man
The memories are still there & I'm 52. I will buy PWR-UP when it comes out in Nov.😁 Stay safe out there & WEAR YOUR MASKS PLEASE😷
you sound like an amazing guy!!
Yeah I'm 49 and started listening to AC/DC when Dirty Deeds came out!Been a fan ever since!
I had the identical experience. I was Angus for the German carnival (Fashing) when I was 11. Also cried my eyes out when Bon died. It was all the rage to collect the Australian imports when I was a kid. I have never seen them live.
Stay young
Long live dude
I would love to go see them live again...I JUST REALIZED ITS BEEN ALMOST 33YRS SINCE I MET ANGUS...I remember being a 13yo girl who would dress like him after school since he was like MY IDOL & I'd play air guitar in my mirror!😁.. I too remember mom confiscating my DIRTY DEEDS when to her horror she heard BIG BALLS. she hid it behind a wall & gave it back to me like 6months later & said it was no music for a young lady....NOW IM AN OLD LADY WHO STILL HAS ALL HER ORIGINAL VINYL'S (now antiques) OH THE MEMORIES🎶🎵 wish I could go back to good ol days of late 70's- mid 80's and being a young lady again🤩
That’s quite the AC/DC feel.
Yup
Trying so hard not to cry, they still rock like if this is in the 80s my heart and soul can't take how good this is
Same.
