Jun, the bait you were using is actually a lure for casting-style fishing 😅 If you want to bottom fishing (like you did in the video) you need to use real baits, not lure.

Wow that lata spot in jeli looks very beautiful and pristine with its clear water! 💖🥰 Reminds me of rivers in switzerland, their waters are sooo clear! Never driven that route, gerik - jeli before, hopefully will get to do so one nice day, thanks for showing your trip! 👍
The water isn't the clearest honestly but still quite beautiful. The Gerik-Jeli road is a very scenic drive but very windy and hilly so gotta drive carefully!

Coming from a kelantan natives, the new campsite is such an eyesore if you had experience lata kashmir pre-covid before the camping crazed boomed. Used to be a hidden spot among locals. There werent that many fences at the green field surrounding the dam. The campground you are on was part of the lush scenery with some patches of ground good for some bush camping. Oh well..

Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed my videos! My Subaru has handled all of my trips very well. No major issues. Of course there have been the usual wear & tear, but with regular service, there's nothing to worry about. The only limitation with this car is that it cannot go heavy off-roading!

This place is prettier during summer. The water will be crystal clear. There are some places along the river where the sand or river stone looks shiny which makes the crystal clear river more beautiful.

Ohhhh in marang you should have stopped at restoran lempeng, it faces the main road (the coastal kt-cherating road) but its back faces the sea! And ofc you should have tried its lempeng too, maybe lempeng pisang! 😋😋😋

Siren tu banyak berbunyi kalau hujan lebat. Bila tak hujan, takda siren. Tapi malam tu ok jugak, siren tak berbunyi dah, Jun tidur nyenyak.

Sorry for my nagging, again, on fishing :
1) the spoon(lure) is suppose to be cast out n retrieve repeatedly until a predator fish strike. That original treble hook should be replace with a much stronger type, preferably single hook to avoid sangkut. By placing it just like that(without any movement to entice the fish, don't think any fish will be interested)
Lure casting is considered an 'advance' stage of normal fishing(usually called bottom fishing)
2) Placing your rod on a 'stand', first u got to make sure the stand is strong enough n wouldn't topple if something big pulling at the other end of your line, also u should place your rod so that only 3/4 or 2/3 of the rod is below the stand's top(that y shaped) to prevent your rod being pull n flip over then into the water, of course by a huge fish lah, hihihi
3) The way u hold the rod kurang betul(as i pointed out in your previous video - PD with Kak Maz while fish for crab, kalau saya ingat betul) Regarding fishing, wish i could share more with u ...

When i see that the water level keep rising, was extremely worry about u camping so near the river, but knowing u with years of outdoor experience, relief sikit juga lah

I use a Sony ZVe10, Samsung S23 phone camera, and a GoPro Hero 7 Black. If you mean the more cinematic looking footage, it's the Sony :)
