- Hi! I am here today with a very cool project! I am making this design team project using the exclusive paper collection "Tea In Wonderland" by Country Craft Creations. countrycraftcr.... This is a Rectangle Explosion box that I came up with, and I have made this gift box/album for you. The fun part of this project is that it does use the explosion board from We are Memory Keepers, BUT I have adapted this project and will share how to use a conventional scoreboard for this project! Yay, everyone can play with this design!!
There is a companion video tutorial that started this whole idea. I did use the explosion board exclusively on that one, but it is totally worth a look-see to see how to make all 7 of the sizes of the boxes. I did make a super cute box/card project with that video. You can see it here. • Rectangle Explosion Gi...
This project only uses 3 sizes of boxes. This gives more room for embellishments inside the box. It is fun and creative and will make a great gift. Below is the cutting list for the project. It really doesn't require too many sheets of cardstock (I used 7 pieces of Black Artisan Cardstock from Country Craft Creations). It does take about 9-12 pieces of patterned paper. If you use a coordinating cardstock like I do in this video, you will need 2-3 sheets.
Thanks for watching, and have a crafty day!

I love it! You have done a fabulous job and it is a great tutorial! Well done!
Thank you!!
Wowie Zowie do I love this project! Just when I thought "well now I need to buy an explosion board" you tell us how to do it without. I will be making this soon! One question -- is the middle sized box glued down too? Or just the smallest one? Thank you for another wonderful tutorial -- you truly are an inspiration :)
The two inner boxes are glued down. The board really does make it easier for making the square boxes, and the corners. You notice I did the easiest sizes too! Haha! I love e the board and am glad I got it.
Yes, nice to have a way to do it without, but get the Explosion Board....it’s really great. ❤️
@@ruthiew244 I agree, I love my explosion board, it's just that it is sooooo hard to get a hold of right now. It definitely will make things a ton easier!
@@michelleallenacreativeoper6112 I was able to get mine on HSN, but they, too, are sold out now. Hoping production increases and the boards are back in stock soon! I love the options for using it, and thank you so much for all your awesome ideas.
@@ruthiew244 My pleasure!
