the multi point graph was inspired by the sweet spot mechanic from BF1. Some snipers had a "Sweet spot" that caused snipers to do more damage at certain point. Ex: (85@90ft/100@200ft?80@450ft)
In this case, it is a reverse sweetspot. But the sweetspot exists on the M82. (Has a chance to not kill up close due to overpenetration, has a chance to not kill at range due to the round losing speed and power as it bullets through the air.) And the game gives you an option: "Don't like the sweetspot? Use .416 Barrett. Don't like the reduced power with the .416? Then get good." (I think .416 removes the sweetspot, correct me if I'm wrong.)
As a fairly experienced Gyrojet player (about 1.1k kills on it), I think the AWS subsonic is better just because of that limbkill... the muzzle velocity is almost the same as the Gyrojet, so for those who know how to play with 1.2k sps, it shouldn't be difficult to switch to a gun with 1.1k sps. I recommend using the sideways grip alt aim and any laser, sights are too painful to use with that amount of drop imo
Subsonic? I don’t think so, unless you’re referring to 9.6mm Lancaster or 10/3.5mm (probably the latter). Something funky; if you use 10/3.5mm with ARS Suppressor, it actually deals the max damage sooner, so use that if you want bigger damage sooner.
My first experience with the game today. All I can say is some lag and wall bang in my first match without trying, the first primary gun and no attachments we’ll be it on metro but still Waw.
Saw this setup in a video, tried it out and it is super accurate, almost a no recoil setup, at least for me it is so fun to play with: AKS74U Delta Sight Muzzle Booster Angled Grip 9mm conversion

Basically, what the weird range graph means is that while the medium range damage is suboptimal, and the long range damage is way more rewarding, with less risk than one would think due to being pretty much undetectable while shooting, the weapon can still kill to the torso up close, something the Gyrojet weapons cannot do. This comes at the cost of muzzle velocity, but if you can learn it, it would be like using the MK11 Phantom. The risk at range exists due to shots missing being a very possible factor due to the low muzzle velocity, but it's partially negated due to the silent shots, lack of tracers, and lack of suppression. You're at no risk of detection unless they see you, which is something you're partially in control of.
This is a weapon that favors a talented person with flexible muscle memory, one that can quickly learn and master a powerful, but risky weapon to use. For all of you willing to try this out, being proud of your work is amazing. Do it.
I mostly use the png sight on the aws bc it gives better zoom I bought the ammo beffore i watched the vid so im feeling kinda regretful since i dont want to compensate with the movement

After taking a look at this video, I went and looked at the snipers again and found out that the R700 with light barrel, no stock, and .32 ACP has 16.05 walkspeed. maybe a video idea? i dont know. Love your vids!
Idk if you’ll see this, but I’d like you to try just about any assault rifle w/ Hollow Point and Carbine Barrel. The main concept behind this is that Hollow Point boosts body damage, but nerfs the headshot multiplier so you’re dealing the same damage to the head in CQC as you would without the attachment. Carbine Barrel buffs the headshot multiplier so that you deal more damage to the head, complimenting the damage increases elsewhere with Hollow Point. Basically a generic version of those exclusive caliber conversions that can be equipped on any Assault Rifle, Carbine, or LMG with those two attachments. Some good ones (read: reduce hits to kill by one to both head AND body) include but aren’t limited to: AK12, SCAR-L, M16A3 (My best experience with the attachment combo), C7A2, M231(3-hit body and 2-hit head at 1,225 RPM?! Good luck taking advantage of the latter tho), Honey Badger (Remove Suppressor grants the same stat changes as Carbine Barrel), C8A2 (similarly nutty compared to the M231, but with a slower fire rate at 900 RPM, and still controllable). In short, the attachment combo basically turns your AR/Carbine into a budget PDW that deals more damage with more controllable recoil than most other PDWs. Makes sense in reality, given that intermediate cartridges are often more powerful than pistol cartridges, and making the former penetrate less to transfer even more energy is going to have some devastating effects on the target.

Probably raycasts between your head and the enemies torso, if the torso is invisible it will not be pinged

If you haven't tried it out yet, seriously give the M16A4 a try. The update buffed it like crazy and its way more fun to use now
