I love hiking vlogs. In more than 63 years, I've hiked for 60 of them, ever since my folks took me and my brothers camping at Wisconsin Dells. I've hiked from the lows of Death Valley all the way to the highs of over 12,000 feet in Nevada's remote great basin national park. I've hiked in Europe even halfway up the Matterhorn's walking trail, along the rivers flowing from Angel Falls, in Venezuela, and along sandy beaches in Oahu, and Guam, and mostly the coast between San Francisco and Jenner, near Napa, where I was mostly raised. Add to that many walks in Redwood forests or the dense rainforest near Olympic National Park in Washington.
My wife, who I met in Mexico, I joke is a mountain goat, as we hiked to almost 9000 feet near Zacatecas where we met as I ran out of breath and my eyes narrowed to tunnel vision, lol, she became a distant speck laughing at me hilariously in two languages.
I am prejudiced, present when my wife gave birth to our now almost 23 yo daughter who we took all over Oahu for her 13th bday in '12, that women have more emotional stability and physical strength than men when it comes to coping with pain and especially recovery. I walk, but have not hiked or even swam, since breaking my leg in three places in '20, from making myself vulnerable to avoidable heatstroke on a hot August evening in Phoenix.
I was told by my in home female walking coach that what I went thru was the closest thing to childbirth. I walk fine now, sometimes two miles daily, but after three months of learning to walk on the leg again, and eighteen months of regaining feeling on the right side of my lower left leg and its foot, I've been a "baby" when it comes to hiking, feeling as I climb stairs that my left leg needs some more time to recover from strain as it had to learn new neural pathways to walk again.
Your vlog inspires, not only that you look beautiful and have the poise of an angel when you hike, but also I feel inspires others to become content providers like you for UA-cam which for me offers the free education that is especially important as I approach the "imaginary" 65 mark that they say makes us senior citizens. I've had senior moments since I was three, lol,, but feeling aged can be escaped by putting our minds above feet like yours.

@@metatron520 No, never that far south. Only reason why I ended up hiking near Angel Falls in Venezuela was due to a business trip. I also did some beach hiking and snorkeling in Guam, also on a business trip, and a short hike in Puerto Rico on a business trip.
In Oahu my wife, daughter and I walked the beach as far as we could. They went to hike around diamond head while I rested and just sat on our view deck at Hilton Hawaiian Village, one of the coolest resorts I've ever been to, and on my daughter's 13th birthday, after a dinner the night before at Macaroni Grill, we took the sub tour which is just one of those bucket list things, like my jumping off the Strstosphere Tower in Vegas, or taking the off road tour of Monument Valley, that I just had to do.
Also I loved hiking into Carlsbad Caverns on a business trip, my business travel as a tourism systems teacher allowed me so many vacation opportunities, and because I worked sometimes two to six weeks on the road, they gave me comp time so I could travel alone or with my family.
I was just born to be a nomad, though I stopped after my ex and I separated when I was asked to work 2000 miles away--she could not give up her job, since it requires two incomes to both retire and also for us to let my daughter's dream to get a History Masters.
I think we are better friends for it, because we share a daughter and apart our one motivation was to give her greater opportunities than we had, I recognized her as a "gentle genius" from the moment she was born and the doctor put her into me, her Daddy's arms, to hand to my wife and she put her yiddle fingers around my index finger and like my Cat Rosie, when she catnaps with me sometimes, she would not let go.
After nine months of being a nervous Dad, since I was on the road so long, my boss gave me four weeks comp time, a close friend of mine for six years, so I could be home, a euphoric Dad, with our lil' wide eyed wonder.
