- I got a "New" Regal Scope that was broken and unrepairable on Ebay. This is my first use in taking some Bird Videos after Gorilla Taping it together.
Had to use the Digital zoom on the camera to reduce vignetting.
I like your video and I like your concept with the Digiscoping. So beautiful. Cheers.

I have to tell the story behind this. I put a few shelled peanuts in the opening before, thinking it helped lure the little booger to feeder for pics. After they were gone I'm sure it thought - "there's got to be another peanut in there somewhere"

Do you recall which mount you used to hold the camera to the scope?
It was the kind that attaches over the eyepiece. Platform didn't elevate high enough for small action camera so I had to have a threaded extender which camera could then be mounted on. Trick was to have everything pre-set with cam attached on mount. Focus though eyepiece (eyecup removed) then simply attach mount with camera and begin shooting. The LCD rear screen is just to small for me too set focus on. I think mine cost about $11. Couldn't now find one that cheap. Oh yeah I did have to grind out inside just a little to be able to fit over my eyepiece. Sounds like a hassle but quite easy to use on stationary focus scenes. Here are a couple of recent vids. Because it was obvious misrepresentation, I messaged the seller and gave a 3 day ultimatum for the payment to be credited back to my credit card or would send in report of Mail Fraud as I had recorded the opening of "New" boxed item. Very easy process to fill out a form online. They refunded in full and as seller new it was junk, they didn't want to expend funds to ship back, which is why I acquired it.
I am not too proud to fix something with tape. Basically it is not waterproof anymore nor Nitrogen filled, which means no longer fogproof. Only can be used in certain weather conditions. This scope produces clearer images than my Celestron Ultima. The eyepiece zoom function also didn't work so I will have to purchase an eyepiece if I want to have that capability. Right now I think it's froze at about 40X.
can you mount astro EP's easily in this scope? hearing great reviews about them. flourite glass? wonder how it compares to Kowa

This was taken with a LightDow 4K 24fps UltraHD camera-Not sold anymore. I have swithced to a more expensive SJCAM SJ8 ($140-$190)
Not bad for a free scope. This is why I never buy on eBay unless it's discontinued stuff you can't get anymore and only from real people. Too many fake stores and scammers just drop shipping through amazon prime. Trashy place.
