Absolutely wrong video, grade slab steel should be connected to grade beam. For that you dont have to cast the complete grade beam.

Completely wrong, grade/plinth beams are to be casted on grade. After casting of column neck back filling in layers with proper compaction have to be done and than grade/plinth beam have to be casted.
Otherwise it will not serve the purpose
