One of many films I've made that is edited 'in-camera'.
Editing in-camera is a technique where the sequence and length of each shot is not changed from that which was filmed. The 'editing' is solely determined by when you start recording, stop recording, and then start recording again. This technique was originally used in the era of physical film where, despite what might occur to you as a restriction, it provided many practical advantages over 'shooting to edit' and was sometimes used by even very well known filmmakers (in the movie 'Rope' by Alfred Hitchcock, for example). There are varying forms of editing in-camera that fall under the same umbrella but have many differences, the most substantial of which is the presence or absence of 'takes': a bigger budget movie or one of grander scope will almost always be using multiple takes even when editing in-camera, whereas an "art film" could very comfortably align with only using single takes (for many reasons) truly making the process of editing take place solely in the moment of recording. Many modern short-form video creators have been editing in-camera without even knowing the term because of how natural and relaxed the process feels, as well as how the end product will often have the rough edges of authenticity which is often viewed favorably, at least right now. I started because I'm buddhist tho.
