    I love how calm your thoroughbreds always are, no doubt because of all the ground work you put into them.

    How do you desensitize your off the track to the crop/whip without having them run off with you?

    • @spannerclyde6832
      @spannerclyde6832 5 років тому +1

      Do it on the ground. Keep tapping them with it everywhere until they calm down. If they try to run, just follow them and keep their nose tipped in toward you

    Could you make a video about how to build horses confidence over XCountry jumps please?

    I know this is an old video, but if you were to use a neck rope, which kind and where to buy one?

    • @SobrietyandSolace
      @SobrietyandSolace 5 років тому

      It's just a regular rope. Where I rode sometimes they used rope dog leashes.

    How do you make sure they don't eat grass in the round pen?

    • @kerstinwhite3558
      @kerstinwhite3558 6 років тому +3

      Ajda Jenkole whenever they go to eat grass make them move their feet and repeat until they are paying attention to you. Make sure you keep them busy with thinking about things and playing games once you master that so they don’t get bored and start ignoring you again

      My lease horse Flynn just refuses to move hahah... I can tap his feet or his bum and wave my hands behind him but he just won't stop eating! He will stand and take a beating. I really don't like whipping him very much though, especially when he's not learning anything.

      Zoe Bologna Pony Zoe Bologna Pony I like using parellis pressure method where you suggest, ask, tell, and then promise your horse. So that they start asking questions. So you start out asking them with the least bit of pressure and slowly getting harder until they give even the slightest bit of movement forward. It will take time but they will hopefully get softer and more responsive but I’m not a trainer so if you still struggle I’d ask your trainer for help

    Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make riding a TB without a saddle less painful to one's privates?
