Thanks for the info. I have just finished a quilt with a wavy edge, first time out and I will do more I feel sure..
Thanks, I did it!!
Hello, I really enjoyed your tutorial. I am doing a scalloped edge and I can't figure out how much material I will need for my binding . After using your formula, I still don't understand. My quilt is 72x80,after I add 4 in. for each side, that's 320 inches, divided by 11 is 29.090909.What does this tell me? What does the 29 mean? Please help! Thank you so much.
I think 29 inches is the width of fabric you need to cut the bias strips.
You will buy 29 inches of fabric. If you bought a yard of fabric that would be 36 inches. Hope this helps!
THANK YOU . . . for all your quilting videos ~ they have often been life savers for me when it comes to NOT knowing what to do. My brain gets way scrambled with the wording within instructions. I need to SEE and HEAR is at the same time. Just wish you'd consider adding NOTES to your posts....when you describe what the video is about. I'd love to be able to reference your formulas, size recommendations for the binding (as an example)....because I'm think the formula you stated was for STRAIGHT EDGE binding....yet you were using it for SCALLOPED. So it's a tad on the confusing side and would be oh so much more clear if notes were included to double check our understanding. ***smiles***
