While his ghost notes on the snare are always a delight, i particularly enjoyed the way he trilled the cowbell, early on. I'm 76 years old, have been playing kit since 1962, and I have never heard that before. Ever the enovator!!!!
The only drummer where not only do you need to nail the bass to the floor to stop it from moving , you also need to bolt his throne / stool to the floor as well !!!!!........................... Erik
He's the only drummer I've ever seen use the wrong end of the sticks.... And I love it. Does anyone know why he does that? Different sound or better feel. I'd like to know. He's one if the best... Definitely on my list of humbly great drummers! ❤
It's obvious he's a very good drummer. Too bad it not very pleasant to watch him play. It's as if he's in pain somehow. There are a lot of very good drummers who are graceful as well. I guess it would be best for me to just listen to him, and not watch him.
Such expression and musicality. You can dance to a Steve Gadd solo.❤
And this folks is why he has been in such huge demand. Groove master!
He plays with every muscle and nerve ending in his body!
I think that might be the drugs, hehe
Steve is always inspirational 🙏🥁
A true master of the drums
Best dynamics and groove in the biz.
Best drumming / drummer ever !!
Legend ❤️
one word: passion 🔥🔥
He’s my fav. Super creative. Not just blazing speed, although capable. Great taste and finesse.

Always learn something new from watching gadd play, the man is just music
Great Drum Solo‘s
That rim click/hi hat stuff @ 3:30 is just insane. Woof.
The best example of Gadd's drumming I've heard. He's in the very few extraordinary. 7:06 long drum clinic.
An absolute natural at groove.
Gadd can push the energy hard up against the time and keep it 'right there'.
Rhythm patterns, anybody can follow a maestro a genius

Bruce Gary from The Knack.
The master is hin absolute prime! What a hard hitter he could also be, in a good way off course.
The BEST 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁♥️
He's the anti Buddy Rich, Carl Palmer, or Neil Peart, always incorporating space in his playing. It's what sets him apart.
Neil used a lot of space in his playing.
なんと言うか、、、
とにかく一音一音の音がきれい。

Jim keltner does it so does purdie
Drum Lesson: Space between notes is more important than blistering 32nd note wall of sound chops - any day of the week!
Notice he is singing his parts… very interesting
Same beat from the "drum battle" with him, Weckl and Vinnie C...Best I ever heard Steve was on Aja...That's some sick drumming!
Yeah!! same shit since 1970!! Fucking same bag o’ licks!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Reminded my of "50 ways to leave your lover"😊
Grandissimo~😂❤
👍🙂The Steve is actively "Steving"! Total mutant-beast!!! 👍🙂‼️
Dünyanın en iyi üç davulcusundan biri . John Bonham ve Steve Gadd .
If I could create the perfect drummer, I would.. oh wait, Steve Gadd already exists.
👏🏾👏🏾
Not bad. But what records did he ever play on?
He looks like Steve-O in this vid. So good.
2:02 those bass drums
In a league of his own, in many ways……….
The Joe Cocker of drumming. Full body spasms.
カッケース!
BAAAAD!!!
More cowbell 😎
Crazy army.🤔
Steve, we know you are excellent in every way but whatever you do, never ever hit that cymbal with the rivets in it on your right....or else!
Great body movement average drummer😂!
Can be annoying to watch

It’s just the cocaine. He was high all the time in those days😂
For myself...
Zildjian. There is no other choice.
