YG gave a lot of freedom to their idols when it comes to their craft...GDragon pretty much says that..thats how BIGBANG changed the kpop scene...idols are now allowed to write & produce..unlike before. YG is a pioneer at that in the kpop world.
If they put the original second verse, it would be Batter Up all over again, and YG didn't wanna do that to Sheesh.

Yeah. Props to asa still but it felt flat. It lacked a punch. It didnt match the energy of the pre chorus. Though im not a big fan of the final version seeing it live in their fanmeeting changed all that.

If u watch their japan fan meet. U will see why they make sheesh there chorus. Because everyone was screaming. Honestly I think yg makes music for concerts. Because concerts is where the money is at. Even batter up was so loud at the fan meet.

Choice 37 worked with T.O.P and iKON but bec they are no longer with YG, he didn’t mention them. iKON also owns their trademark so mentioning them means promoting the group for free.
Also, if not debuting a group for a long time means only debuting a group that’s really ready and half baked then isn’t that a good thing? So many groups are debuting so fast lately and you can see how much they are lacking vocally as well as with stage presence. Companies just make up for it with marketing and autotune.
Makes sense that they didn't mention iKON honestly. In terms of new groups lacking vocally or stage presence I don't really agree to be honest. You could argue all of the "big 4" girl groups debuting recently are very well put together talent wise. Jyp has 3, SM has 2, HYBE has 3 and they're all talented. YG just likes to take their time with new groups, which isn't a bad thing at all. They're all great in their own ways.
@@ktwinzreact7915 it took years of training for the SM & JYP groups before they debuted them too not just mere months. For Hybe, technically NJ & LSF were under different companies before they debuted. Illit was from a survival show and had very little training before they debuted. My point is groups have to train as a group longer than just a few months to develop real vocal skills and not just rely on heavy marketing. It’s sad when a group has to face backlash when they fail to deliver in shows or events bec the company did not give them enough opportunities and time to train for live shows. It’s not the groups fault but rather, the companies who rush in debuting them without fully developing their skills and potential. Yes, they can grow as artists after debut. But being rookies shouldn’t be used as an excuse for subpar vocals and stage presence.

right it's not a lie debut took long but with a good reason behind it and other companies do have that long years before they debut their new group and it's not even shocking or new in kpop industry. at least for yg they present not half baked product worthy to be called monster rookies from then and now yga.

Theyre not exclusive to each other but usually YG artists always works with producers they have strong chemistry with.
Despite tbl having a new majority shareowner i dont think team teddy would stop working with BP.

Chorus is not the weakest part...watch their live performance of Sheesh at Tokyo fanmeet. It is an easy way to have a massive fanchant...even better with the live vand. Some songs are better in concert.
It's the weakest part in our opinion, and by weakest, we don't mean that it's bad. We just like the other parts of the song more, never said it wouldn't slap live (which it does).
Great Reaction KTwinz! I personally think the SHEESH drop is perfect! But that’s because I don’t listen to other K-pop songs! Strictly BlackPink who has never recorded music at YGE! They’ve done all their music at the Black Label with Teddy! Choice 37 gave BlackPink As If It’s Your Last because 2NE1 didn’t like it!
But I can only imagine what BlackPink sounds would be like with the YG Producers! BABYMONSTER has a great relationship with Choice 37 and YG will be there as well so they should be able to give us a lot of different styles of songs!

The black label building is still yg building. It only makes sense that bp would record there coz teddys studio is there. Same with taeyang. Even GD was rumored to have been there for his upcoming album.
Also bps really is by choice btw.

That's where you are wrong. YG gives credits to ALL of his artists for their production, composing, and writing crafts, but he removed that part out because it didn't fit the song.
Asa was credited for batter up. Do you know anything about writing and producing songs? Props for asa but i agree with YG 100% it didnt suit the vibe of the song and it brought the energy down. Im not a fan of the final version of the chorus but seeing the girls perform sheesh live in japan it made me appreciate the track more.
Asa is a talented writer. There is more to come.
