    Hi Sass😆 I looked up your tent and what I found; the Copper Spur has a waterproof rating of 1200mm per hour rate on the fly and 1500mm on the floor.
    Copied from internet; To summarise, and help you choose your new tent - a general rule is that a good quality tent with a 1500-3000mm waterhead rating on the tent fly, along with a 6000mm+ rating on the floor (or one made from durable polyethylene or PVC), is going to keep you sheltered and dry in all but the absolute worst of conditions.
    As you can see, yours isn’t rated for downpours. Take a Durston Mid X1 for instance, 3500mm both fly and floor. And only 2 oz more.

    Chin up, kiddo. You've got this!!!!! In life, it's the valleys that help us appreciate the top of the mountains more. The trail is more than miles....you would be without your tramily if you chose a different route and possibly cause more of a downer. I'm hoping your feet feel better and you stayed with the tramily. 🤗 Cheers, Scar

    Sass… you have already summited Katahdin and posted your 180 days completion vlog; I just wanted to go back and an earlier post that I had not watched and this was it. Lots to unload and enjoy . 18 mile day feet hurting , bugs tormenting you and to top it off your copper spur tent failed to Jeff you dry in a 11 pm down pour …. All that and you are still positive…. Dang you are amazing. Hope you get to read this. And I hope to see you post some after completion of the AT vlogs…. ❤😊

    Wow, your Copper Spur failed. That must have been a real bad storm. Those are real solid tents. Keep up the good work. I enjoy the videos.

    Wondering if you got the right shoes? I know they looked nice, but do they go with the terrain? Hate it when you don’t get along well with the other cutie- (hope it’s okay for me to say it that way) but we all have to have our venting at times you and Gadget are so cool, yes and Soap too! Bugs can really put a damper on things- a net should be a welcome change. Fresh Grounds is missing you guys for sure- I think he really enjoyed being around you guys- seems like he would stay with you all the way to Maine if he could, you guys are so very blessed- I know it’s not easy at times, and feels like a roller coaster for the mind body spirit- but God! Amazing entertainment from you all! Thanks for keeping up with whatever comes along- WE LOVE YALL!❤️🚴🏼‍♂️🌱🌿🧘🏼🙏

    Sorry to hear that your feet are hurting again, also that your tent is leaking. Sounds like a good time for a zero day . I know you feel down, but you are doing great. Thanks for taking us on your adventure.

    Gorgeous azaleas at 1:30. The Green false hellebore at 4:43 are also known as corn lily, Indian hellebore and are totally toxic - but pretty!

    Remember, good days, bad days, and as long as the good outnumber the bad, you are on top! And use the bad days as learning tools.

    Looks like you overlapped with Beatnik at the Fresh Ground stop. I've been following both of you and was wondering if you would see each other. Also following 5 Stack, but he'll be in Maine tomorrow or Thursday. Stay safe. Rest is part of the endurance equation to succeed in the long run. Looks like you're doing amazing and the VLOG is awesome, thanks !!

    It’s so disheartening when it starts to pour and your tent isn’t up to it. I hope the world was brighter in the morning.

    Saw east coast got hit with brutal weather, confirmed tornado in Salem, VA, 150 miles from AT. I don't know where this fits in real time, but perhaps this is the beginning.

    Not good to hear your tent leaked and your feet are hurting again.
    At least Fresh Grounds was around for a good meal before the rain.

    Blue blazing is cheating but slackpacking isn't? 😂 your a riot.

    • @MaxZomboni
      @MaxZomboni 4 місяці тому +1

      No, slack packing is absolutely not cheating. You are still hiking the miles. By your argument, if someone is not carrying an 80 pound framed backpack all the time they are cheating. Or if they send supplies ahead, they are cheating. That is not the way it works. Different people carry different weights all the time. Blue Blazing is a different matter. If done for the right reasons Blue Blazing is a good thing. For example to take a side trail to the top of a mountain for a better view. But if done for the wrong reasons, for example to take a shortcut, it's a bad thing. From the videos I have seen she is pretty much a purest in this hike. The only part I have seen her skip was for the fire closure. Which is a legitimate reason.
